I MUST say this Cap. Your line of thinking about making good to Mike for the poor engineered design of the grader attachment is TOP NOTCH!!! This is how I was raised and yes seemed EVERY time I borrowed something from my grand father to use, the darn things broke someway .😆 My dad always told me "if you use someone else stuff, you return it to them better than or as good as you got it. You just don't see that kinda thing these days.😒 SO proud of you sir and to see that at the least NOT EVERY one has forgotten how to be a "REAL MAN"!!! GREAT JOB!!
Well hell, now that's why we just can't have nice things... If ain't truck mirrors, then it's grader castor wheels falling off... Ha, ha, ha... Just giving you a bad time. It was fun while it lasted. Love the drone barge footage. Thank you sir...
I was on a buddy of mines 450 case dozer one time pushing dirt and it was my first time ever being on a dozer and not 15 mins after being on there the Bering went out in the fan pulley. Haha good times though, things break and can be replaced, at least you called and told him what what happened instead of him finding out own his own. Good people like you are hard to come by these days. Great job on the video!
Captain Kleeman yeah we got it back up and running, took some time cause the case dealer down here in southeastern Kentucky “Wilson equipment” told us we had to replace the whole fan assembly but after doing some tinkering we got it fixed
You got the hang of the grader fast. As long as you are willing to fix it or pay to get it fixed there isn’t a problem. Except the teasing that might come with it.

Captain Kleeman You never let us down buddy. Well, some might feel let down but you can pin their comment so we can all cheer them up with laughter. That’s at them. Not with them.
I think you did quite well with the grader for someone that had not used that attachment before. Okay, so it broke, that happens. Those rims are very thin, would not want that on my wheel barrow, let alone a hard working piece of equipment as that.
Hi Captain, I can't blame you for an obvious manufacturing defect. It may be prudent to reinforce the other one while you are at it. A "stitch in time" etc..All the very best to you and yours from Manchester U.K.
Great video, interesting how you and your neighbors pitch in to be a volunteer highway department. That attachment seems to work pretty good, too bad the wheel forgot how to roll, I hate when that happens. Time for the inevitable upgrade to the wheels. I was thinking flags on the ends of the blade might help, maybe you can find some nice pink flags to spruce it up for mike, maybe something from the children’s bicycle department. Stay safe, warm, and fun.
LOL Cap! ya know my Dad used to tell my younger brother " son I truly think you could tare up an anvil with a milk jug"! LOL! Best of luck with it ,and keep these great vids coming friend. :)
Don't feel too bad captain, we had a couple of truck mounted brooms when I was working, and we had to keep a couple of spare tires and wheels for them. Our steering wheel holders would destroy one at least every couple of weeks. We finally ended up with 10 ply tires foam filled to get much work out of them. You're not the first to break one of these assemblies.
So mirrors and caster wheels are your Kryptonite... Good to know. Kleeman: "Hey man what you up to?" Muffled voice on phone: "What'd you break this time?"
Looks like it could happen to anybody bit guess who got the short straw lol. Looks like a great idea to replace both of them instead of just the one. But on the bright side it wasn't a mirror this time lol. Keep up the great videos

Andy Moss not sure what he had for a tow. Wasn’t stone though. Mulzers has very distinctive yellow barges and blue and white tugs. I’ll try and get a shot when one goes by next. Thanks for watching!
The newer wheels will probably be worse how things are built these days. I'd probably just weld it back up and then weld some small gussets from the hub to the wheel. Be super easy and just cost you a little bit of time and definitely be stronger than the new ones but the bearings and hub looks to be fairly light duty too.
Great video. The early models of the grader had nothing more than York rake wheels on them. When I had mine the wheels were the weak link. I know the new models have a much heavier wheel and tire. Don't know if Mike can convert this one. Stay safe.
The second scariest thing in the world, a truck driver with tools! 😉 I think that wheel was wobbling in previous videos of that attachment. It probably needs a wheel that bolts to a hub. We had a sweeper attachment for a Cat IT28 loader that was designed to be used with the boom in the float position and adjust the height using the tilt function. The operators couldn't seem to figure out how to lock it into float without blowing the sweeper tires trying to lift the front wheels of the loader off the ground.
Tired old mechanic you make a good point. See the float function is not working in that skid steer. May have something to do with it. Thanks for watching!
Hi captain ,those wheels are flimsy I noticed that the other times being use I have worked on a few things with large casters one being a Lastec tow behind articulating mower deck has some very similar caster wheels solid tires. Have a great one 🇨🇦 Craig

Do they still call them tailwheels when they are at the very front of the piece of equipment? Don't feel bad man, there is no way you put all the wear into that thing necessary to break it in the first 20 minutes unless you had the front pointed down too much and it didn't look like that to me. Is that the Ohio River?
nji345 now just hold the dag gone phone. I’ve just spent an hour googling this....and you might be on to something. But I’m too stubborn to admit it and I enjoy the dash two joke. Care to just call it a draw?
Those are transport wheels, not designed for any kind of load. If you're going to put the blade down, sooner or later, it's going to get sucked down and (over)load those wheels. You happened to be the lucky guy it happened to. The attachment needs something designed for far more load than those light duty wheels, or it's going to happen again. Looks like a pretty clumsy attachment, I was surprised how well you controlled it. Hope it doesn't cost you too much.
Scott Marshall he got a really good deal on it. It comes in handy, and we aren’t completely sold on it. I’ll put it this way, he got it for a price that we can get rid of it if some minor improvements don’t make it run how we want, without losing money.
J C I don’t HAVE to, I just want to. It gives me the warm fuzzies, he has helped me out plenty, it’s only right to return the favor every now and again
@@CaptainKleeman Yeah, I get it. My understanding is that the attachment is something of a homemade contraption, so maybe the design could be better/more robust.
They sell those tires at Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply and Rural King for cheap. So its not like you’re gonna have sell a kidney or some other body part to pay for a replacement.
Those rims are no heavier duty than a wheelbarrow rim. If you didn’t break it Dirt Perfect would have...........eventually. You just found the weakness first. As for your tracking left and right because of the blade angle I noticed Mike tends to drive forward faster giving him a straighter line. Something I noticed when side hilling with a zero turn mower. Slower meant more corrections needed. I may be completely wrong so take my comment with a grain of salt 🧂

Do they still call them tailwheels when they are at the very front of the piece of equipment? Don't feel bad man, there is no way you put all the wear into that thing necessary to break it in the first 20 minutes unless you had the front pointed down too much and it didn't look like that to me.
Is that the Ohio River?
Ohh Paul you ask a great question! And yes sir, that is the Ohio!
I hate to bust your bubble but the -2 doesn’t mean 2 speed it’s series 2. All the Kabota’s are two speeds.
nji345 now just hold the dag gone phone. I’ve just spent an hour googling this....and you might be on to something. But I’m too stubborn to admit it and I enjoy the dash two joke. Care to just call it a draw?
Captain Kleeman I still like that you used it a long time and you didn’t know it was a two speed.
Unfortunately rental equipment always tends to be a bit prone to issues more than most.
Tisk tisk tisk
🎼Wheel on the Grader attachment 🎶 no longer goes 🎶round an round🎶. LOL
Better Luck next time!
Have a good one!
Brent_Auctions_Indiana 😂😂. I’ll be humming that for sure
Whappa Choppa ??? Its because I'm Canadian right? BaaaHaaa Okay, I agree, it was the best choice.
Baja Bandito 😂😂. I did my best to say this in a Canadian accent when I read your comment. You ever watch letter Kenny?
@@CaptainKleeman BaaaHaaa Thanks for the heads up... that is pretty much Canada in a nut shell... eh! I subscribed and shared
You hell, when you run it hard enough to run wheels off, gotta have a hammer in your bag, then a bigger hammer.
Tom Freeman that’s true! Big hammers are handy!
those old rims sound thinner than a PBR beer can
DodgeBob02 we were pretty surprised. Just something you walk past and assume are right ya know? Upgrades for the wheels are in the near future!
@@CaptainKleeman It kind of seems unfair that you have to eat the cost of it, because they probably were going to fail sooner or later.
J C I don’t HAVE to, I just want to. It gives me the warm fuzzies, he has helped me out plenty, it’s only right to return the favor every now and again
@@CaptainKleeman Yeah, I get it. My understanding is that the attachment is something of a homemade contraption, so maybe the design could be better/more robust.
what drone are you using these days
Ken Zodrow it’s a mavic mini. Absolutely love it.
You’re not bad or reckless, just always in wrong place at wrong time. Mike screws up also!🤪🤪
Lisa West hey I like the way you think!
@@CaptainKleeman Mike just doesn't upload the mishaps on video... He leaves that for The Cap'n... LOL
They sell those tires at Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply and Rural King for cheap. So its not like you’re gonna have sell a kidney or some other body part to pay for a replacement.
Dr says the wheel to spend 6 weeks n plaster lol to fix its break
Charles Serong and Two aspirin a day! 😂
Wayne Crews No I think you’re on to something. I was just in that awkward “how do these controls work” stage, once I get that muscle memory with it then I think you’re right and a little more speed might help.
Hey Capt dont be to hard on yourself..... the wheel has only been around since 3500BC....... New technology always has hiccups
Chris Helms they will figure it out one day.
You broke it~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ not again!!!
Tony Peters ...again....sigh
Look, it's Dusty the grader attachment
Rockey Rockey 😂
There should not be that much downward pressure on it. Let the wheels carry the weight of the grader only.
Might be better if you straighten the blade a bit more and backed down depth of cut
U ra KnobGobbler thanks for the tip.
Captain Kleeman, I am about to get one of these units I enjoyed your video
I'm thinking there's gotta be a song or two about your luck with equipment. Lol.
William Matthews hahaha, I need a theme song ya know?
