You must be a bit of a new player, both of those were intentional moves! Snake’s crouch low profiles Cloud’s grab while backwards and the player was making a very hard read. The Kaclang killed and was also most likely intentional.

I'm clearly more strict with what I would call big brain, since a good half of these ain't it. They are all well executed, without a doubt. But a good chunk just doesn't have the elaborate setups, or genius baits required for me to call them big brain.

There must be a reason for that to exist
The thumbnail clip was less of a big brain play and more of a play that requires your opponent to not be very experienced in the Snake matchup. If getting killed would have instantly set off the C-4 or if there was a proximity trigger or something, maybe. But the Yoshi just unknowingly danced with death when he didn’t have to.
I thought the play was psyching them out with an obviously bad choice and then using the I-frames of the respawn while the opponent was in the center of the stage to combo them without consequence?
