- Taxiphyllum barbieri | Java Moss Plant profile
Taxiphyllum barbieri from South-East Asia is a hardy plant which makes few demands on the water or light. The moss becomes 3-10 cm thick and grows willingly on any surface, so it is ideal for decorating stones and tree roots or concealing installations in the aquarium.

After trying it once I would never use java moss again. It looks amazing but is so fast growing it chokes out and outcompetes my other plants! I would love to do a java moss only scape one day though
Sounds like you almost did 👌 The 1st couple of aquascapes that I had were mostly all moss and I have never had to purchase any since , which is nice and the best reason for getting the next aquarium 🤞
