    We met in our hometown Duisburg when he was still Peter Brodbeck.His father Werner was my father in law.For me the greatness of Peter was his ability to keep his personal life far away from the fame and fortune life as a star photographer.
    A great guy who we all miss a lot.

    I remember the pre-supermodel era, looking at various glamour magazines wondering why the models' names were never mentioned. Lindbergh certainly helped change that. I love his work. Ironically, what I love is that he often makes the supermodels look like real people in candid situations, rather than the perfect, posed, mannequin-like models of previous eras.

    He marked an era, his style was unique and real.. beautiful art/photography. He was about authenticity and real, sometimes raw beauty. Loved his work and his style, wish he took a photo of myself, would've been such an honor. May he rest in peace....part of a fashion era is gone, so sad. Have a safe journey Peter🌷

    I must say that Lindbergh’s style of photography suits me because when i was at art school majoring in photography that’s how i did it too. I believe his works must have influenced me somehow. As a naturalist, i didn’t use make-up for the models and used natural lighting only. He made it look easy and simple but a lot of preparations go into each shot.

    • @williamchaplin6493
      @williamchaplin6493 Год назад +1

      The camera is actually on its side here so that the image is taller than it is wide. It can be confusing when the clips are brief because the tripod mount on the lens can be swivelled all the way around the body of the lens. Some photographers will swivel it to the top when it isn't in use, some to the bottom etc, etc. But in the very brief clip we see here the camera is on it's side and we see the base of the camera body.
      And now when i look again you are quite right, the camera is upside down! I do not know the reason! Well spotted.

    I still like his laugh so much! It sounds like Arnold Schwarzenegger"s impersonators exaggerated sounds when they were successfully portraying the actor as "Happy", satisfied, or naughty. Such caricature laughter that makes him lovable to me, in the same way as the pictures of Vogue Italia did, during the many years I watched his stunning work in that specific glossy. I miss him so much and I m sure, SURE he could have made Linda magnetic, even after her health troubles. She is still one of my visual passions, the Model's model, but I was so disturbed to look at the fakeness of her recent work with Maisel. If Lindberg was still around he would have shown us Linda's real femininity in distress, He wouldn't LIE about her condition but find the poetry in her spiteful situation. No need for cagoules and fake smiles, Just to make a picture of her appealing. He would simply have shown us how beautiful she is even in bad times, and through her body and face let us see how beautiful is life, to live, even when the odds are against you at the worst. Portraying Evangelista conceptually as the EX most important woman in the fashion-star system, just as a middle of communication, He was the photographer of her soul, which is always magnific especially because of all its flaws! This is why I miss him: not nostalgic about is job, I miss his honest take on reality. Meisel is not able to get this kind of result.

    • @massimosquecco8956
      @massimosquecco8956 Год назад

      ... but there are always small lies in the stories: Linda Evangelista donned already short hair when she posed For Donna's ( Italian great magazine) covers in 1985, when she was portrayed by Fabrizio Ferri and Giovanni Gastel 3 months without interruption. Linda's features substituted the fantastic looks of Amalia Viarelli and nobody else than Marpessa Then she left her hair to grow again, then she convinced YSL and VOGUE Paris to employ her, Then came Lindberg, teasing Julien d'ys. They cut her hair as she used to have and she became history, at least in the Fashion sphere! No! Mrs. Evangelista didn't build pyramids, but she influenced the fashion world in such an unprecedented manner, as nobody else did before and after her, thanks to PL too, not for the hair, but for is POV translated in glossy pictures. He was Helmut Newton rival, nobody less!
