Printing PlastiCharge White & Regular Plastisol Inks on a Black Tshirt with No Flash. Vivid colors, Soft Hand with out Flashing or a Heavy ink deposit.
Excellent question. Yes, we agree, you could also mix the 4 colors and eliminate the underbase white, the job would register faster and require one less screen to print. This is an alternate way to print the design, as once you activate discharge ink you have less than 24 hours to use them. So, depending on the size of the run, making 4 discharge colors would take considerable more time and waste more ink, if you are not very precise in estimating how much ink you will need to print the job. So, for some jobs, it is easier to just a underbase discharge white with regular plastisol inks. Thanks for asking!
Sorry, I missed this question. Yes you can order the colors pre-mixed and you then just add the activating agent. Or you can order the discharge base and add to any super opaque plastisol ink 50% / 50% and then add activator crystals. Thanks for asking!
Question regarding the discharge time. Usually, discharge needs a lot more time to cure/discharge, so that means it will be in the tunnel dryer longer... does that mean the plastisol which is on top of the base will be well overcured being in the tunnel for longer?
as far as registering the underbase and all the other colors, I would assume you are using a flash dryer while on press for the reg process?
Why not just put discharge additive into the colors and scrap the underbase?
