  • The first of 2 videos covering the installation of high tensile electric fencing for our new management intensive rotational grazing system on our small scale livestock farm. In this video, I cover some of the basics of electric fence installation. My philosophy is to keep things simple as often as possible and, by extension, cheap (or affordable, at least). I hope you're able to find something useful for your small scale farm or homestead. Thanks for watching!

I like those clips a lot better than the pre-drilled Timeless posts because it looks like you can adjust them as needed and you don't have to thread the wire through the posts. Where do you get the clips? I have no experience, but have been watching a lot of other videos and several others thread the wire back through the loop when tieing off to a post and then wrap it. That keeps the wire from unwinding even under high tension.

I bought these clips from Premier 1. They're called Powergrip Clips.
Threading back through is definitely a good way to tie them off for strength. I generally don't put much tension on my fences, so it hasn't been an issue. However, with lighter gauge wire, it can definitely be a problem.
