I’m shooting fine with the button….. boys just got to lab until they find a shot that feels right to them
Trust me I prefer button shooting but if you get the mechanics of it and practice the motions you'll be alright. Problem I'm having is shooting off the dribble but open I been hitting them . Button is easier but the motion for rhythm is tough but you do get a bigger green window
Facts I use both. After 3 button greens I use rhythm for the next shot. I’ve never felt like shooting was bad. I went in the lab and shot for hours and still do and I’m good

Honestly, this is all just too much. Admittedly, I’ve never been a good shooter which is why I always make centers. I play my role and i’m pretty good at it. I just feel bad for the people who are supposed to be good shooters but are mediocre because of this science project that is 2k. It’s too much and unnecessary.

Man, i was trash with the button shooting for a few years of 2k, once i learned my jump shot with rhythm shooting, im making shots like crazy!

I agree on the jumper-for me despite the release speed - find a shot that naturally has a quick arm motion so you don’t have to remember a slow up/down motion- slower leaves more room for error. When you can slam it up fast at your set point - you’ll kill it.
Adding beluba or d book help w that. Quick or very quick also helps.
The way you explained how the jump shot blending affects the tempo was confusing but I think I get it for the most part, I started rhythm shooting from the second I picked up 2k25 and I’m actually doing pretty good with it but my jumpshot is too fast to use the visual que so I’ve been rhythm shooting pretty much off of muscle memory

When in your my court go to friends press anyone, your not really inviting them. You’re going to see “ connect to server” press it. Watch the 2k logo upload in the bottom right hand corner. After that THEN go to your court and shoot.💯

Also, quick tip for those who are trying it out, which ever direction you hold the analog for your shot, you can flick the analog stick directly opposite to make it easier. I thought you had to always flick up for the release 😅 but y’all probs already knew that 😢

Make sure you use high risk on rhythm shooting, normal risk you can make whites but the window will not make any sense.
daaaaaammmnnnn I knew it had smthn to do with it...of course the green cue meter has nothing to do with the shot stick but the blending determines the speed.
Correct me if I am wrong, If you can master your push timing, then there’s no reason to master the tempo 😅 just use the old analog shoot timing. Just how you mentioned in the video Right?

Day 1 i was using both; however, after experiencing how consistently 2k25 fucks you with random set shot animations and tempos, i decided to stick to rhythm shooting cause its easier to time and adjust to on the fly.

"with perfect push timing" is a MASSIVE CAVEAT. How do people keep overlooking that? It's not +70% across the board
MAX YOUR WINGSPAN… if you want to be a good shooter your wingspan has to be maxed otherwise your jumpshot will be too fast to rhythm shoot. It has nothing to do with your jumper and everything to do with your wingspan. I rhythm shoot with an A+ jumper with a 74 3 ball and I’m shooting over 55% from 3 but only because I’m 6’9 with a max wingspan. If I get on my pg that’s 6’3 with 6’7 wingspan I can’t rhythm shoot at all. I’d be lucky to go 1 for 100 in online. Point is that only small gaurds are being hurt right now and that really sucks because they should be able to shoot good too if they have a high enough 3 ball.

I shoot with the button and hit 55-60% of my shot. Just a tip if you not gon adjust to the new norm, raise your shooting attributes like 3 pt and mid range jumpshot to accommodate for it.

I don't need Rhythm shooting. Im shooting mid 60s ona 85 3pt off the x button alone however i feel NBA2k25 make me miss on some well timed shots.
