"the average player is dps and the average player doesn't read tooltips"
Reading is a DPS Loss.
If you're a Necromancer you never have to read tooltips for top DPS.
reading takes seconds, since we're dps and it stands for damage per second, logically reading = losing damage dealing seconds. so me no read.
The intro to this is so meta and I love it lol
reactception
we're hitting levels of meta that shouldn't even be possible
People who just want to skip to endgame will hate leveling in any game. The truth is, GW2 has one of the best leveling experiences of any MMO.
SWTOR has the best leveling experience. The story flows so smoothly that you don't even feel like there's a leveling to begin with.
Gw2 leveling is utter trash
Me: Gets to level 15. Starts spamming flashpoints to get to lvl 80 as fast as possible. @@missk1697

The best ideas
It wasn't that bad. I can get to the top in minutes. The problem is there is one impossible jump. Up top, No fire. Easy to run around and get back to it. Just a simple normal vertical jump that I've seen people do without buffs. I just can't get any character to connect in that one spot. Not and Asura, not a Norn.
I admire the level of chaos energy Noxxi brings in to your career

LFG: "WE NEED SPECIFICALLY QUICKNESS DPS"
GW2 player 1: "hi dps"
GW2 player 2: "hi aheal"
No joke, my raid team was in lfg specifically for an adps. This guy comes in "qpds, i will not take no for an answer" and when he got no for an answer, he left the group. Still boggles my mind.
@@Not_Soundwave I had a guy join a "Training for noobs" (That's how we called our raiding group), and demanded we play CM's, and that the LFG name is misleading 💀
Roze has the best skits in the GW2 space.
He hasn't even reached the low hanging fruit that is Braham.
I mean he does very often just default to "I said the cheapest not politically correct thing, laugh NOW or I will call you a loser." He does have some good jokes, but a lot is just lame.
@@aidam6152 the comment he pinned on this gw2 video tells me everything i need to know... what a tool
Do people hate the leveling experience? I really liked it, It gives a lot more freedom and room for exploration, compared to many other MMOs I've tried.
To be fair, I don't want to level traditionally anymore, because I've done world comp 4 times and leveled up 'legitimately' (no boosters) MANY more times, so I've had my fill of the early game content.
Yeah some of us absolutely hate it
I enjoyed leveling in classic wow a lot more. In gw2 I've primarily been a pvp player (leveled most of my characters with tomes, so in that sense I enjoyed leveling), but levels 35-80 on my first character were definitely a slog. Nowadays levels go quicker, but eh.
I think the sense of danger in classic wow makes the world more compelling. In gw2, most mobs are damage spongy, and the leveling lacks big moments of accomplishment. In classic wow, I enjoyed experiences like earning my voidwalker, or getting upgrades from dungeons or quest rewards. Increasing your power level was tied to doing difficult things. Having everything handed to you through levels makes gw2 feel less grounded and less rewarding through the leveling process.
I hate it, but what I hate the most is the inability to skip through some dialogue and cutscene. Being forced to do things you don't like isn't going to sit well with a lot of people. I went through the whole story + LW for leg trinket and my god I wouldn't wish that to my worst enemy. AT LEAST give us the ability to skip through dialogue and cutscene when you're PLAYING SOLO or you're playing an ALT. Doesn't help that if you get Dced in some instance, your progress will reset, and you have to go through 10 minutes of dialogue again.
I actually find it very relaxing and have 72 characters and two slots that i will not lock in to a character, one for keyfarm and one for just leveling to get the lower level crafting materials. I just get it to lvl 80 and then deleate it. And no this is not something i do all the time, but when i am bored of PvE or my WvW match is mindboggling boring or like now when Anet fucked up everything with their last ballance and nuking defense, i can jump on one and just go where i feel like. If i would level it fast it would probably take maybe 7-10 hours, if i go slow a week. Levels are just tossed at you now with the leveling guied so i am usually finnsih before i even reach lvl 40 zones.
First time exploration is great because you see everything first time,U making to quest first time and music tickles your ears. But after that leveling experience just being a repetitive slog. After 30 I couldnt continue anymore and pressed that boost.
The people who are telling you to skip the leveling experience are saying it from the point of view that they have done it before and don't want to do it again. Always level your first character without boosting so you have a base to form your opinions on. Save your boosters for different characters after you figured out the difference between progressing through the game and what unlocking all the skills does for you.
I enjoy leveling while doing map completion. Thanks in part to me picking Guardian and Thief as my first characters. I won't do it on certain professions. Which I think is the deciding factor for if you like or hate the leveling experience.
Even if you do boost, you have to be willing to sit down and read all your ability and trait tooltips, practise your combat rotation and maybe copy a build online, since you wont know anything about that profession yet be handed the keys to a vehicle with many buttons and many choices. Levelling gives you lots of time to slowly learn, experiment and put into practise whilst not overwhelming you with everything all at once.
@@cattysplat Someone who has figured out how the game works can jump into a new character will all abilities unlocked and figure out how it works better than someone who just boosted.
Times change
WARNING! RANT! WARNING!
I've encountered SEVERAL newbies and they were all speedrunning the game.
For example:
Feb 2024, a newbie joined our guild, /age 2 weeks, already lvl 80 (boosted 2 toons wth) then is asking a LOT of questions, some smart questions, tons of dumb questions you could answer yourself by googling for like 10 seconds, overwhelms the chat, not even wanting to watch a youtube tutorial. Asking everyone for a taxi to every zone as possible, some guildie spoiled him with exotic then ascended gear. Goes almost everywhere open world, WvW, PvP, not realizing what a build is.
Next day he logs in, brags about his first legendary! In just 2 weeks!
Last login: 3 months ago (I don't know why our leader hasn't kicked him yet)
Dude what kind of skooma do these newbies consume?
Rushed through the game only to abandon it! Guildies wasted time, gold, exotics and ascended gear to help a rushing ghost.
And I've encountered more newbies acting in similar ways, even up to this day.
Now I squint at newbies, there's a big chance this game isn't for them.
They ask for guidance: look it up on the GW2 wiki (ohhh noooo too much reading)
Have a small brain that can't read more than 1 paragraph? Go watch a Mukluk video! (ohh noo they are too long! he speaks lightspeed fast! and blah blah blah!)
Don't want to do it? Can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped.
Yeah I feel better taking this off my chest.
@@cattysplat That's not entirely true, if you're an MMORPG veteran you can boost your character. Then look at guides like metabattle and you should be able to master your character in a few hours. At least that's how it was for me.
@@Baard5Szomoru happened to me too, i was helping some guys, gave them 18-20 slot bags and helped them kill some champion and legendary bosses, i haven't seen them online for 5 months. Then there's this guy i helped to unlock his griffon and skyscale, then he also stopped playing after unlocking them.
Some newbies literally spent more than $50 on expansions and then left the game after getting a few stuff lol
I really love how Roze included so many Asuran Easter Eggs to catch Muk's attention through this ride.
Having recently leveled a warrior sylvari, I got to level 50-something and just boosted the rest. Leveling let's you get accustomed to every part of the class. If you boost from from 1-80 you have no clue what any of the skills do and how to layer them.
My only real gripe with the game is there are wayyyyyy too many currencies.
I recently introduced some people to the game, they all got to around level 40 and then used an 80 boost, you've already unlocked every weapon and utility skill slot by 31, all you unlock from there is build slots.
If i want to create a new character on a race I've never played, with a class i never tried, I'll jist go to metabattle, pick the build that suits me and use a lvl 80 booster. I'll still do the personal story and everything, but i want to get used to the spec traits/skills.
Now i created a chronomancer bc i wanted to be a support, looked up at the website and now im doing pretty good, i switch between power chrono and quickness supp chrono depending on if im playing solo or doing events
"someone should take him to the chalice of tears. He would like that"
Me, filling several cups with tears just hearing this
For story up to level ten, a lot depends on the race. It's been a while, but IIRC norn and char tutorial ends with "okay, now go and become famous" and since your norn wants to be a legendary hero and charr wants to raise up in rank, you go "hell yeah we will go and become famous". Sylvari and Asura don't quite have that and human starting story was so generic I forgot most of it.
Asura don't care so much about being a hero as much as getting their personal projects to bear fruit. On a completely unrelated note, Asura has the best personal story.
For humans your family finally remembers you exist at lvl 10 and you go visit them
Sylvari story gets more depth with the Heart of Thornes expansion. Also Jennifer Hale as the player voice is the best.
Man I wish the humans story was as epic as it was on GW1
Even the entire pre searing Ascalon is still more memorable than GW2 human personal story
Yeah I know it was the only playable race but hey that's no excuse!
The first few story chapters depends on the choices you make during character creation. How do you not know that? Do you even play GW2 or is this a troll post?
I started the game during a Halloween event and accidently went into the labyrinth, I got killed quite fast by Steve 😂
Steve was just giving you the official GW2 welcome. We love Steve
I've been playing this game for 5 years and I've never done any labyrinth nor holiday events, are they any good? never bothered cuz i always just get distracted with everything else, still feels like i just started the game
I actually love leveling in Guild Wars 2. I find it relaxing, I get to do some exploration of the fun zones, gather materials, help out others in events. There are so many free exp books and other sources of exp increase out there that it doesn't take long at all if you just want to power-level.
Me too, i played 2 years free-to-play and i love it. And did 3 world complitions with first 3 characters🔝🐣🔝
I have 27 characters and 25 of them are max level, so I can’t agree with players who hate the leveling experience of GW2.

@9:05 Lol "Bleep it...... BLUR IT!"...... i see a trend happening....
I remember that in good 'ol days at which level you should do story mission was just a sugestion, not a requirement. Those were good times.
I remember there were people finishing story below level 80, right? or was it just map completion
@@boonsterboom3470 If I remember correctly, yes, it was possible to end story below lvl 80. At which level you should do a story mission was just a suggstion, so a mission could have been suggested for lvl 80, but you were able to complete it at, for example, lvl 60 if your character was powerful enough, but it's true only for core Tyria story.
can't wait for part 2
Hey! I still listen to Evanescence...
This was really good and the San Andreas thing is spot on wonderful!!
Makes me wonder if he'd already put the joke together partially in his head when choosing an engineer for the pistol.
(edited cause my spelling was bad)
I hate it because there's no significance behind it, it's so easy to just power level through with boosts that it completely takes away from the leveling and questing experience. I remember in Guild Wars 1, it was actually pretty fun leveling to 20, which was the max level in that game. Ironically enough, I remember my brother and I playing together and him power leveling me on a 55 monk.
Bullshit I’m playing Guild Wars 1 and other than Prophecies the leveling experience in Factions and Nightfall is essentially power leveling. Granted the lvl cap is only 20. Hell I fricking got The first 4 Nightfall and the first 3 Eye of the North heroes before I hit lvl 20. Nostalgia has blinded you. You sit on a throne of lies.
You know.. a lower level floor honestly might have really helped imo. They tried to spread it out in a certain way, but later design.. well. The (gw1) cap was lower, but.. I assume it took more time to reach the same point. It's been a while.. and the experience is quite different..
@@ChaoticNeutralMatt GW1 is far slower, not least because the combat is challenging and open world is dangerous, designed around party combat. Monsters attack in party groups of their own with healers, tanks, debuffers and controllers, which requires commanding your own party/NPC mercenaries to priorities targets whilst yourself avoids becoming focus fired. Also need to do sidequests as not enough xp in the story to level up enough.
well ACTSHUALLY you're not quite right about the sylvari/asura lore. The asura who experimented on Malomedies and the secondborn were not actually inquest - one of the leaders of their "research," Vorpp, never faced any consequences for his actions, and showed up in LWS1 as Emissary Vorpp (he develops a device to help track Scarlet's portal incursions, and send you out to test it and gather data). Cadeyrn (the secondborn who founded the nightmare court) and Trahearne both wanted to wage war on the asura in revenge and self-defence, but the Pale Tree told Trahearne not to, and he conceded to her. This was the last straw for Cadeyrn, who was already upset at her preference toward the firstborn and the insistence that all sylvari follow Ventari's teachings without being given a good reason (in his mind), and he went on to start the nightmare court after that (and then Faolain joined and completely stole it from him and he got overshadowed by a firstborn AGAIN, rest in pieces dude). But anyway yeah, it was at the Pale Tree's insistence that they made peace with the asura, but the asura responsible for all the torture were not inquest and also not ever held accountable.
No. Just say "actually". There is no shame in correcting people.
41:55 thats not true, the "good" guys of the asura found sylvaris and killed them in experiments, one of them is Vorpp who leaded the experiments. The bad guys had nothing to do with them at first, they came first in contact with scarlet who became a "former member".
The Sylvari insidend leaded to new rules, which only the bad guys were against and still experiment on living things
New player as of a couple days ago, I'm actually pleasantly surprised by enjoying the leveling experience mostly because there's no real push to keep doing meaningless filler quests in between locations. I can go in whatever direction looks interesting and find things to do that reward me with vendor currency I can use on rewards and upgrades I want. Gear is readily available, learning my skills and weeding out what I'm not using as I get access to them makes more sense to me than being loaded down with dozens of decisions instantly with the boost, and finding groups for the first two dungeons so far has been easy enough even without a true dungeon queue. I'll probably end up boosting an alt eventually after I finish my first story playthrough, but for now I'm perfectly content to keep progressing at my own pace.
This entire video, outside of being an incredibly wholesome interaction is basically Muk screaming at Noxx like shes is his mom and he is telling on Roze.
Started playing 2 years ago now and I did enjoy the levelling, I was just a little lost initially till I adopted the explore and stop caring mindset. What I didn't enjoy when I was brand new was people coming along on their mounts and 1 tapping things so I couldn't take part in events. At least we get the raptor as a rental but that feels weird also.
I play GW2 since release and just now i learn that there are high/short and low/long jumps :O
My biggest problem with the leveling experience is that you really aren't allowed to craft a build until (basically) max level. Either you have under leveled weapons when you try to hold onto something you like or you don't have enough hero points to swap skills and specializations when the game does throw new weapons your way.
I enjoyed this edited version of Roze (I don't like cursing lol so I don't watch him) and laughing along with you and at your reactions. Thank you!
Also, 100% agree that leveling to 80 is part of the beauty of GW2 and it's fun and easy and you learn a lot about your class that way.
Haven't watched the video yet, but I must say: Speak for yourself, earthling. I really enjoyed the leveling experience.
This is going to make me feel old but at launch you could come out of the start quest at level 10 and straight into story. I think it was nerfed because the keyfarming was pretty insane. The xp from starting story was reduced about the same time a 7 day limit went in for the level 10 story giving you a key.
One of my most hated changes because I had level 2 keyfarming down to a -science- and could get keys upon keys per hour.
@@0sujin I dont know if you remember but I think to prove just how bad it had got for a weekend they increased the drop rate of the permenant hair contract and everyone just went nuts and farmed the hell out of it - the lifespan of a new character was literally how long it took people to get the key, open the chest and start again if not successful. At that point Anet (understandably) went 'Houston we have a problem'
at launch you didn't need to be level 10 to play the story
Keep it coming Muk and Roze!
I started my Guild Wars 2 experience about 2 years ago now and just doing solo, I have been enjoying it for what it is and even joined some meta trains, I haven't joined any guilds since life has been on and off and about at the end of EOD. I feel like the story dropped off after LW4 but still a better experience than most MMO's I've played
Muluk is true chad for having Mega Milk in the thumbnail.
I think one of the worst leveling changes they made was putting weapon abilities behind level increases. Unlocking weapon skills by using the weapon so you could have all 5 by like level 2 was far and away the superior way to handle weapon unlocks.
It's because boosted characters would have busywork tied to them and that's not great for sales.
What does that matter? You'll have all your weapon abilities within 10 minutes of playing the game, ffs. 🙄🙄
mad kings clock tower is THE jumping puzzle in gw2, if you can get through it, you can handle any jumping puzzle the game throws at you
"Cupcake the Childslayer" 🤣💀
Tip for dodge jumping. You kinda want to roll the keys, dodge first than jump. My dodge is the v key, my jump is the space bar, so i hit the double jump doing "v" "space". I do this waiting for a raid to start so i do it without thinking. It has gotten me into trouble sometimes.
Commenting before watching, but I can't imagine how anyone can hate GW2 levelling. For alts sure I guess (ignoring the multitude of insta-level items that are given out in this game), but even then, the fact that everything gives EXP was already great, but with the recent Character Achievements, you can get to 80 SO QUICKLY just by playing about in a few zones.
The only part about it I don't like is the changes they made since launch, where personal story quests are now given in chunks of 10 (just why?), and you get weapon skills by levelling, not using weapons. I LOVED unlocking weapon skills by actually using each weapon individually - now, when I try out a new alt, I find myself dedicating half-an-hour or more to just reading walls of text for every skill on every weapon, to figure out what does what and what direction I wanna go.
I actually love guild wars 2 leveling. It's really fun learning a new class and seeing what it can do, also core tyria is very beautiful and if you level by doing maps you get to see so much of the game you won't otherwise. I think the issue is the boosters you get for free when buying the game tbh, so many people just click them and then become endgame floor enjoyers
Time to time when I get tired of being an endgame floor enjoyer, I enjoy doing some map completion and paying attention to the heart and dynamic event story/lore. Good fun 😁
You dont learn much by leveling, elite specialization often changes your playstyle completely.
I love the leveling experience so much that I have, multiple times, deleted my level 80 characters just to remake them almost identically and get back up to 80
Like whenever I decide to change which class I'm mainly playing, I'll delete whatever I have of that class already to get a fresh experience
I started playing GW2 again about 6 years ago and when I bought it, a level boost was included. At around level 15, I boosted my character so I could play the main quest. Without this boost, I would never have continued playing GW2 like I did countless times before.
Asmongold hates Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 but not played these games.
I think he said that he hates the graphics, he didn't meant the gameplay as a whole
@@poorpriest4549 he hates the graphics? but wow looks like trash, i always wondered why he doesn't play GW2 but the reason is...disappointing
I haven't played guild wars 2 since 2020, came back last month and made enough gold to exchange and buy stuff with gems in the shop. Like a new character slot, skins, etc. you definitely don't need to spend money in gw2 other than to buy the expansions, what's quite fair, because they put a lot of work into creating something unique in 2024.
Btw. When I bought the 2 expansions pre ordering PoF back in the day, i did use booster in my first character and I don't regret it. Because you can still go down in starter maps have your level reduced and still play stuff as if a leveling player, later on, when I created my third character it's when i decided to level up from 1 to 80 with some friends and that was quite fun. I don't see a reason why a starter shouldn't boost their character in gw2, because even if you get confused you can just make questions in map chat or guild chats and people won't mind answering you. I think it wouldn't be good in other games but with the gw2 community being friendly as it is, that can also be an enjoyable experience.
the "double jump" is so hard coded into my brain i cant press V to dodge without also hitting space xd
did anybody notice Roze is actually casting shadows whenever he inserts himself into the in game backgrounds?
Less than a minute into the video .... "Epic Inception". I here for it!
With the prototype rewinder, if you switch your build template you can tp without cool down
Anyone else watch this video with the original in a second tab so we could skim through and see what degeneracy was being censored? Yeah, I regret it too.
This guy is so fucking funny I gotta check him out after this video. I love this style of comedy
with infinite money, using gems to gold, you can craft your way to level 80, buy legendary weapons, craft level to ascended on a two characters, buy time gates ascended materials of the tp, and craft full legendaries, you would not have trinkets, but you could buy exotics with money. i don’t think gw2 is pay to win, especially since they added ascended armor and ascended weapon to the wizard’s vault, but pay to win is definitely an option through crafting.
A core stated character, with full ascended armor, full exotic trinkets, legendary weapons, all with just money.
legendary armor and trinkets, mounts, masteries, story, maps, all of that requires actually playing the game
I'm legitimately confused. What am I watching? Person A watching a RUclips video of Person B watching a RUclips video of Person C? And I'm the person watching all this? Is there someone watching me??
Psst, you are not supposed to notice me
Now please . . . carry on
"Why the Asura are Such Bastards" needs to be added to the wiki
Almost 20 years of WOW, about 8 months of FF, a year of New World. Now 2 years into GW2. GW2 leveling was smooth and straight forward.
Well, even as a new player, years and years ago... Lvling thru these Roze talks here about took hardly twice the time of this video length ))) My second char was a sylvary male with a quite alike setup as his! It wasn't actually before my forth of fifth full map completion when I actually stopped just 'fill the bars' and grind XP/lvls/map complete and started to pay attention to all these precious little details like what npc say and what they do and got the very idea that dynamic events are truly 'things happen in the world of which I can be a part of'. As a new player, I was far more interested in grasping the mechanics of the game and I really had no need to form a deep connection with the story before I've got a deep connection with my inventory space and weapon/utility skills.
his production is top tier ngl
Leveling in GW2 is one of the best parts of the game.
I have a couple slots dedicated just for characters
Jesus, he's a genius! That's why Sylvari is my main, deep down my brain thought i was playing GTA SA all over again
Leaving a Thumbs up and comment for Noxxi's extra work this time around.
Engagement ahoy!
When i first started gw2 i was the 1 person in my group of friends who chose asura and no one else liked them. I am used to new people to the game hating asura. Very few people also know how to make them look good. Best race in the game though.
The two thugs he's making fun are Ventari and Ronan
in the lvl10 msq he chose there are two homo sylvari who are being bullied by that green knight
Side note but this got me thinking: these days, what MMO besides WoW starts at max level? Not GW2, FF14, ESO, SWTOR. I guess Lost Ark? It's just seems wild how much the way Wow does things becomes the way "MMOs do things".
Wow is trash. They just couldn't handle the mess they made when they killed all their exploration and pve content by making the game a neverending queue waiting.
@@boutch1993 "Trash" that has like 20x more players than gw2 lmao. I wish I could make a trash thats so successful
Leveling actually feels too fast to me. That said, I did use my Level 80 Boosters... at level 79. The gear is worth it alone, plus I got a shared inventory slot in the bargain.

This was entertaining. Thanks both haha.
i hope we keep adding layers to this
See.. I loved leveling to 80, which I did. But issue I had was the the point system to make your build to even enjoy the playing experience. Then you can start the actual game. Maybe my experience was bad cause I'm a solo player and I was spoiled by WoW and GW1.
My biggest complaint about gw2 is not one mount being perma available to new players so we can at least ride on raptors together.
And having to pay for material storage and stuff is brutal. I like the game, but I don't often feel a pull to play it.
In my experience leveling was the fun part, hitting 80 is where my problems began..
I don't know why. I've played almost every major MMO that has existed. I've played games that weren't considered MMO's but were the precursors to them. GW2 has the B E S T leveling system that exists. Bar none. It's dynamic. It's not invasive. It's open-ended. It's rewarding. It's relevant. It's new user friendly. It is, hands down, the most organic leveling system in any MMO I've played to date and I am 50 yrs old. It even rewards players for sticking to it, AFTER they hit max level. How many other MMO's do that? NONE. None give you a reason to keep doing the quests and leveling in low level zones. People have an expectation of a standard and aren't able to objectively evaluate a different method without comparing it TO that standard. GW2 really did redefine the leveling process and it truly stands unique. I love it. I have a hard time playing other games that use the older leveling methodology.
September 2018 killed the story being available from the beginning of the game. Because Black Lion Chests, and the key you get for completing the first story bit is overpowered and permanent contracts are a shortcut to a shed ton of gold. xD People got so good at key farming, that they could run between 5 and 15 keys per hour. :D A-Net said nope, and reworked the whole new player experience to what it is today.
The monetization is by far the best of any mmo out there. Everyone that plays this game seriously knows and tries to keep it a secret
I still think searing ascent is worse than chalice of tears
Yes, especially because with position rewinder and a guide chalice of tears is actually pretty manageable challenge. You cannot use position rewinder in most of searing ascent, making every mistake so much more painful.
Because most of the players have no idea how to level up in GW2… WvW and other PvP contents would boost to your level if your in a guild and if you are aware of PvP boost which you can get from guild hall for free.Choose reward track which has Tome of Knowledge;just conquer and you wouldn’t even believe how fast you will reach to lvl 80 without doing anything with the main story,vs…
Seen Roze's video first this time and loved it. I'm hoping for some explanations of some of the memes I didn't get.
You explaining hearts just before he said the same felt a bit redundant.
Double digit karma values, how nostalgic.
I can't remember the last time I've seen a gold seller. Farming bots/makros you can see sometimes in certain places but they don't really bother anyone.
Some of the convenience is pretty much mandatory like bank slots or material store extensions. Those are somewhat reasonably prized and regularily on discount.
What I found ridiculous is the prizing of mount skins. But hey, I don't need them.
Where they jumped the shark IMHO and since when I refuse to buy anything I don't have to (like expensions), are the templates. Templates should have been in the game from day 1 and always been free. They failed there big time.
I prefered it when the personal story wasn't level-gated but people (ab)used that for farming Black Lion Chest Keys so we couldn't keep having nice things.
Oh yeah, picking up a hero point item and not using it has probably happened to all of us. Also there are a few hero points that are a bit different like the one in Verdant Brink where you have to survive a DoT.
Accurate description of Asura. The article seems to be his own work. Now that's some nice dedication.
In his defense, the leaves of the plant aren't always active depending on the local event.
I find that having the glider makes some Jumping Puzzles a lot more annoying. The other big enemy in many JPs is the camera. I swear the camera was better on release or shortly after and has gotten far far worse. I hate you Slothasor.
Whatever I do with my engineer, it shall from now on be known as engineer salad.
Edit: I love how you keep flexing with people who do the jumping puzzles in all sorts of ridiculous ways.
roze is such a legend. guy could be doing stand up
First leveling experience were pretty great for me.Seeing new maps, and following to story.Even tho Zhaitan fight was abismal.Still "fear not this night" was pretty memorable. But after that I've made new characters for fill different roles in raids thats why leveling experience felt like a slog and I had so many boosts. Also really leveling experience doesnt feel meaninful because until 80 u are walking on daisy field. There is no good dungeons,no good bosses ,no excitement or challenge. And making a good characters best reward not leveling it,Completing to map for Gift of explorations.
EXACTLY
Today I learned that TFW is that face when and not that feeling when
04:55 Engineer Salad is the name of my next band. 😂
39:16 YES. YES. YES!
I'm here counting how many times Muk had to say bleep/blur it for Nox 🤣
My favorite part of being a wvw player is never having to level again. I get any character to level 80 for the rest of my time playing this game
I have no problem with the GW2 leveling experience the first time around, after that while the leveling itself for alts its fast collecting Hero Points and map completion on every damn one on the other hand is a ripe pain in the arse and I wish completion was account bound
ehhhh I disagree about the "only yourself to blame" with the jumping puzzels, there are a lot that due to GW2 having kinda jank surfaces that soemtiems youll slip off because you landed on the one pixle that counts as a wall and not a flat serface
also kinda agree that GW2 does have pay to win, on the scale of pay to win established by josstrifehays GW2 is up there on the pay to skip/pay for conviniances/pay for quolity of life, it is less egredious than other games but it is up there on the scale and if you are a 100% new player its very prehibative to get some of the very basic things unless you watch guides youll have lots of issue catching up
and tbh GW2 has a very very big bot problem, more than half the items on the auction house are there from bots, any time Anet do big bot wave bans some items tank big time so anet tend to be vary careful when doing that to not crash the economy
To summarize this reaction is basically this "Noxxi pleeease"
Just convinced three friends of mine to get into GW2 for the first time so I have some fresh memory of the current leveling experience. I think the Adventure Journals are extremely good for the experience, but it doesn't resolve a lot of the issues the early game has. It's hard to sell this game to my peers as the deep pve/pvp experience that we know in the end game when for the better part of first few hours they don't even have their entire utility and weapon bars. Sure, I get WHY that is done, to make sure the game doesn't overwhelm the player, but I believe the pace of which these slots unlock can probably be sped up. Leveling also slows down drastically after level 50 or so, and I had my friends become genuinely bored even with the good open world content. The actual content in the games are good, I just think it's a bit too long for today's audience for better or for worse. Alas Anet probably won't rework the early game experience because it's not interacted with enough to be a hit to their bottom line. All we can hope to do is say "just reach level 40/50/60/70/80, and it'll be good!", even though a game whose first 10 hours are bad might as well end at 10 hours...
Omg, didn't know that!
The levelling experience was incredible to me, only the first levels are boring.
Soon as I reached lv80 I created another character to do it again.
The endgame for me is boring and took me to long to go to the first fractal
My friend hated leveling up in GW2 and as soon as they were level 80 they did map complete since he could enjoy the game now that he was max level....
Ngl I actually really like the leveling experience in GW2. I’ve played since launch and it’s gotten soooo much better. In fact I recently started two new characters a couple of weeks ago and got them to 80 just playing the game in a couple of days
17:18 I suspect it's Ricky Berwick. Pretty cool dude.
Asura=gnomes; which are an… acquired taste for their neighbours in most fantasy settings. 😂
Muk, if you're planning to continue watching Roze's levelling videos on stream, please be aware that in the (1-80) Part 2 video, there is a full text N-word in the video for about a second at 6:55.
wow, new info tips on jumping
have mostly used backward to move a little back in air when jumping
greate tips that are easy to oversee
leveling experience in 2024:
Finish Tutorial -> get LVL 80 Boost -> spend 10 minutes opening all those levelling chest with crap in it :p
i dont think i would call gw2 shop p2w. it has a ton of pay for convenience and if you really want everything in the game you could potentially buy almost everything “collectible” in the game with this games only loot box the black lion chests. you can play through the entire game without spending a dime and you would be just as good as someone who bought everything. it would just take longer.
as a dps main in WOW that reading part is legit we just want to kill stuff lol
@41:59 ah yeah the "bad guys" that are an aknowledged political party in the asuran society. not considered a domestic terrorist group like other real bad guys
ratsuracopium to the max lmao
I've never had an issue with the leveling experience in this game, there are multiple ways of doing it. I usually only complete the first map, run events, dungeons if possible and collect all hero points. By the time I get to HoT, I'm roughly around 50-60 hero points shy of getting the first elite spec, works flawlessly for me. Far worse leveling experiences in other games. All things are subjective.
Hey Muk, that clip you didn't recognize of the two people kissing with the third guy awkwardly hugging? That's from a sketch comedy group called Studio C. Here's the video: ruclips.net/video/Z3if9AdTGUU/видео.html
Tbh, it feels like pretty niche Utah/Idaho/Arizona culture stuff, so I'm surprised Rozen knew about it at all, lol xD
(Studio C's older stuff is better than their newer stuff)
