I have spent the last 30 years living in off-grid communities and I can assure you its totally possible, and whilst the lifestyle contains many elements in common with the way that our ancestors lived, it also benefits from technologies, insights and understandings that mean it is possible to live a modern lifestyle whilst being connected to the land. From my perspective it is more like living in the future. X
