- Hey Guys! Welcome Back! In this video I'm showing you my first day arriving alone to Cofresi Palm Beach Resort in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. I and my family booked for the end of November and I decided to look up videos just to get an idea of the area and how everything worked, so your videos are really helpful, thanks so much! I was just wondering if there was anything you weren’t expecting or that you feel someone who also booked through Groupon should know about? I just don’t want any surprises, lol.
Nothing out of the ordinary except when they offer to take you to breakfast on the go cart and show you a tour…afterwards you will end up at the time share building and you will be dropped off and your driver will disappear and leave while they talk you into it over champagne 😂 That’s the only thing that kind of upset me. Also don’t exchange your money at the airport. HUGE ripoff.

@@AriAbroad Did it seem to you that needed/ used a lot of Pesos or did you use more dollars? A family member told me that at the resort at least they preferred American cash and that you probably wouldn’t need to exchange, so I was wondering if I should exchange some American for some Pesos, or does it matter?

Hey! Looks like you had a great time. My husband and I just purchased this Groupon deal for November and I was wondering, how did you figure out transportation from the airport to the resort? Are there just taxis around? The Groupon said you could reserve transportation from the hotel website but I could not find that option. Also, how and when can you make reservations for all the local restaurants on the resort? Thanks!
Hi Cathy. I purchased a Taxi at the airport. Did you purchase the Groupon before or after watching my video. Just out of curiosity ☺️
Beautiful...What offers came with the groupon deal?
Hi Love. We had to pay for all excursions separately. All that came with the Groupon was the all inclusive stay. So the room, meals and drinks and of course access to certain beaches

Hello!
I have a few questions about this resort which I would love if you could answer.
1. We want to do the Triple Adventure and Isla Bonita excursions and i do not know if you have done any of these but how do they exactly work? will we get some sort of ticket with our booking and a designated place where someone picks us up?
2. How is this place with covid restrictions and testing? Anything to look out for in this regard?
3. We are also slightly concerned about the food situation as we hear people often get very sick. How is the food served there as well as any recommendations for restaurants etc.
Hi! So I’m not sure about those excursions but any excursions booked through the resort you received a ticket. If you watch my most recent Puerto Plata video it shows the excursions process.
They still required masks when I was there in December but I saw online that the DR isn’t requiring masks anymore so I’m not sure. They required a COVID test to re enter the US but the resort provided it for us. Last time we had to get it at the airport and pay for it since we forgot to schedule the test with the resort.
The food was buffet style except for in the restaurants that we needed reservations for. Please check out my most recent Puerto Plata Vlogs 💜

Thank you! I have a video of the Tropical. I believe I liked Tropical better. It was Closer to the main buffet and more people actually there vacationing. Locals aren’t a problem at all but it felt like we were intruding in their apartment complex at COFRESI rather than being on vacation if that makes sense. I felt like I was standing out as an outsider too much. A lot of locals rent rooms at the COFRESI and stay there. I talk about the differences in my newer video. Rooms nicer at COFRESI, view and beach better at Tropical
@AriAbroad thanks I watched and liked. I'm have to catch you on one of these trips. Lol but can't you travel to both resorts and all spots not matter which 1 you stay at with vip?
@@bjor412 Yep! if you stay at one you can still visit the other. It’s all one big property
The food at this place is awful!
We really enjoyed the Brazilian steak house. But the buffets were a hit or miss lol
