They should re-do this tribute for the next VMA awards and get queens from all seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race to do every look of hers from 1983-present and they should give Madonna a special award beyond just the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award,like a step higher than that award. Not that it isn't a prestigious honor but with Madonna it needs to be a grandiose honor.

Shes the worlds greatest drag muse! Her looks are not only iconic but they’re also more identifiable across the globe than any others. Show most people in any country that gold corset, wedding gown or kimono, cowgirl get up and they’ll instantly say Madonna. Artists today are so unevolved. Look at Beyaaawnce, and Rihanna... no style, no stand out images. Gaga tries too hard and totally fails. She wears outlandish clothes just for attention, theres no reason or inderlying message with her image make overs. Its just too much, its calculated to gain exposure. Shes become a clothes horse fir fashion houses, nothing more. With Madonna her image, current mood be it political or emotional, were always expressed as part of a total package. Shes a very smart woman that has the experience in the industry to pull off what she does. Gaga? Beyaaawnce? They’re amateurs and it shows..... and what about her final quick wit here... “it takes a real man to fill my shoes...” priceless!!!!!

Not to toot my own horn, but this was inspired by a show called BLONDE EXHIBITION that began in 1993 (that i created) and was repeated annually, then in 1998 MTV contacted me about bringing the "girls" to NYC but instead just used local queens and never credited or mentioned the idea was inspired or was originally planned to be form BLONDE EXHIBITION.
