The WNBC years are pretty well preserved. Not that they'll see the light of day. The internet has most episodes from 1992 to today. The one Stern NYC era that's missing is when they first got to WXRX in 1986. If anyone has complete shows from 1986 to 1990 that would be a goldmine. For me THAT is the golden era. I don't think they even started taping the entire show in studio till about 1988.

@@joeneil5485 Jackie could be a mixed bag, he wrote some great stuff but did silly stuff that wasn't very funny. And yes, he was funniest when Howard goofed on him. Jackie wasn't as funny and talented as Artie but he was definitely better than Richard and Sal, I hated it when prank phone call were done in house exclusively by them, material from listeners was always better.

Though Jackie is and will always be a hack comic, he was an integral part of the show. He wrote funny quips for Wiggy during the show, wrote PPV, channel 9 shows, parodies, Stuttering Johns questions while Artie only wrote checks to his dealer. Sadly, Artie was only entertaining when he was bumping: constantly Zzzzzzzzzz, physically attacking his assistant, throwing things, etc. but he did call Wiggy Pelican😂 With Sal and Richard, the show turned into a literal morning zoo: 1990s Jerky Boys phony phone calls, incessant gay bits (which Wiggy obviously loved) 1986-2001 The gold years
