Please consider using metal on the locking knob of your EQ mount. I've owned two and both have failed at that point. The rest of the EQ mount is metal, so I don't know why that one piece would be plastic. I had to buy a heavy duty 2-way panning head from Sunwayfoto and adapt the vixen clamp from the EQ mount to an Arca plate to mount into the Sunwayfoto head. The other thing I bet a lot of people would like is for these units to come in a hard plastic waterproof case (like a Pelican, or one of the numerous less expensive knockoffs). Use either premolded foam, or a padded divider insert, with enough room for a camera body and lens (about 135mm), and have a zippered lid organizer. If the SA GTI doesn't come in a hard case, it needs to. Tack on $50-150 for them to come with cases, or sell them as add-on options, or even after market on your website. I bet a lot of people would buy them. Or, at the very least, make customized inserts for the two most popular sizes of Apache or Pelican cases, and sell those as add-ons or aftermarket.
Sorry. Waited almost a year for a GTi and cancelled order this month for a harmonic drive. If they get backlogged maybe I will come back. But its the 2i Pro for now. it gets the job done just with more work.
Problem is the Polar Scope cap tabs are not bent outward a little. Heat them and move them out a little, just move the inside of the tab to line up with the outside of the cap. On the GTI the tabs are too long and hit the AA batteries when they are used, without batteries it clips right in. Why this is not checked during development and corrected is beyond me. Also the battery cover screw on the GTI should have been made with a captive screw.........
You guys should focus on visual astronomy. Astrophotography is more of a subset of the hobby. Would really like to see what Skywatcher could do as compared to iOptron AZ mounts. I think iOptron has cornered the AZ market. 🙂

GTI, 10 deg min latitude…if you put a wedge can you go lower?
