Sara every new video of yours motivates me to read and shows me that I’m not the only one at this age who enjoys staying at home and reading. Thank you girl 🤍
Hot Take: Glossaries and lists of characters before the story is lazy writing. It should be abundantly clear, from your story writing, who key characters are and what the key concepts of your world are. That's your job. I shouldn't have to put in the work. It's nice as a complimentary element, but not to depend on for your story to make sense.
@@evangelinefaraldoi honestly did not find binding 13 that difficult to understand and english isnt even my first language. it’s really just a few words that come back very often and that are kindof intuitive to understand in context.
i read a little life in march too when i wasn't doing my best and even though i rated it 5 stars i wouldn't recommend it to anyone either 😭 i felt so hopeless after finishing and still kind of in a book slump because of it tbh. You described it perfectly!! other than that one that your reading month looked so fun 💞
Red Rising had me ADDICTED! I got the omnibus on Kindle of the first three and devoured a 1500 page book in an astonishingly short time for a full-time worker. I couldn't out it down. I am torn about the rest of the books, because I have heard mixed reviews, verging on negative, and I don't want to taint it for myself. Phenomenal. READ IT
You’re so right about everything you said about A Little Life, and I hope people don’t read this thinking it’s a light or easy book to read. You need to be in a very good headspace and good mental state to read it, and should always look up the trigger warnings!❤
thank you so much for being so honest about your experience with a little life. i wanted to read it so bad because i’ve heard it’s amazing, but your review made me realize i’m probably not ready yet. love you bestie 💖
Sara you are wonderful!! Thank you for the brief yet thoughtful review of "A Little Life" - helped me decide I am not in a space to read it anytime soon!! You're the best
Your video about A Little Life pushed me to pick it up as it had been on my list for years. I LOVED it. I thought it was such an important read. Definitely one of my favourite books now.
I love these videos ...... i wont be reading a little life im glad people are reading it but for me i cant read it.....i loved butcher and blackbird and can't wait for the next one❤❤❤i absolutely love the wrap up videos ❤❤❤
If you like the cowboy type thing and thrillers you should read You Shouldn't Have Come Here by Jeneva Rose if you haven't already. It was really good.
Really intense, underrated, but GREAT post-apocalyptic series: The Edge of Collapse by Kyla Stone. I’ve never seen anyone read it and I love it. There is a small subplot of romance that is slow burn and develops over the course of the series so it’s not romance heavy but great nonetheless. You should look into it!
one day was one of my FAVORITE movies of all time, so i had high hopes for the book and i was so disappointed. both the show and movie are so much better!! which is surprising bc i feel like the adaptations are rarely better than the original!
I just found your channel and I subscribed! So tomorrow we’re moving into our new house, and I was reading a book a few weeks ago. Then I came across one of your like bookshelf videos which got me back into collecting books. I bought 5 yesterday and 11 Wednesday. I forgot how much I love reading books, thanks to you! :)
I started reading A Little Life because someone on Lexi (here on youtube) talked about it. It was incredible but as someone with a similar story to Jude in many ways I should not have read it the time I did. You describe this book well and I love how you do tell people what to expect without spoiling. I think if I'd seen this video before reading, I could have saved myself 3 months of misery 😆Love your wrap ups, because sometimes you put new books on my lengthy TBR that I'm so excited for.
It is so incredible how you keep up with you're TBR for these 2 month! Really this is so awesome! You really do need to celebrate this achievement of yours😌😊❤
if you like the cover for wild love, i think you'd enjoy the new covers coming out for her gold rush ranch series. they are insanely adorable and the aesthetic of them is perfection!
Saraaa!! I have a book rec for you. I know how much you love powerless and I’m so excited to tell you that “Heartless Hunter” that has been going around is the SAME vibe except with witches and not ordinaries. And the banter??? Wow yeah it’s not *as* good because no one is the man Kai Azer is, but it’s good! I think you’d really like it!
I absolutely agree that you need to be in a good mental space to read a little life. Buttttt… i would absolutely recommend anyone who is in a good mental space and has read the trigger warnings to read it. This book is absolutely life changing and I feel like everyone should read it just because of the empathy it gives you and how it makes you realize how much other people may be going through that you are completely oblivious to. Absolute masterpiece and i loved it. I think if you really analyze it by what it can teach you and the beautiful aspects of it, it will put you into such an introspective mindset instead of a bad one. It rlly is just how you look at it.
I enjoyed First Lie Wins and definitely the ending! Also read The Wishing Game I loved how heartwarming it was and really enjoyed the games and riddles; the author is coming out with a second book I got the ARC The Lost Story it was fun and gave Narnia vibes
ahh love your vids so much bestie! cant wait for all the april releases this month bc for me march was the worst slump ive been in. I read only 10 books and thats me leasttt.
I was listening to Red Rising on Audible and I just couldn’t get into it. I did not like the person that voiced the book, so I plan on actually reading it myself next month.
A Little Life was 814 pages of ongoing tragedy. The author tried wayyy too hard. The beginning had me in my feelings, but I just started rolling my eyes at page 200. I gave it 2 stars. Found it dreadfully boring.
let us know your thoughts after you see one day the movie! i needed 5-7 business days to recover. literally sat in silence for like 20min after mouth open just in shock
My favorite reads of March were F*ck Love by Tarryn Fisher (angsty, a bit morally gray, beautiful writing), and the ARC of Always Choosing You by K. Sinko (the 2nd in interconnected standalone Scoops series).
You should check out The Diseased Ones by Danielle Harrington!! It's a dystopian series and one of my favorites ever!! Especially the third and fourth books in the series!
hey Sara, if you like cowboy romances you should definitely check out Spur of the moment by Karley Brenna! It’s small town and I think you’d like it (:
i did have to slow the video down, i love you but your talk so fast. Love the wrap-up's and you want me to give the way i used to be a go again as i DNF 👍
Great video as always❤. I think I'd listen to A little life instead of reading it because I don't think I'd be able to read it myself with all the trigger warnings it has.
okay plz search for some used book sales nearby and do a lil vlog! i went to two today alone and it was the best time ever. it was honestly my boyfriends idea (who doesn’t read like we do) but we had so much fun.
i totally agree with you about little life, friends of mine keep telling me that i should read it but i know that it'll impact my mental health !
Yea definitely wait it out until you’re ready (if you want to!)

literally the reason i’ve been avoiding reading binding 13

One Day was a really sweet series. There is the love story of course, but I also really liked the theme of learning/growing/changing as you grow up.
watching sara read and talk about books is so motivating, shes is one of the only youtubers who can keep me entertained 💗

Amber smith just released the sequel the way I am now! It’s dual pov! You should read!!!
Sara it must have taken you so long to edit this video! There are so many breaks between your description of each book. Very tiring I’m sure. Xoxo
On lunch break watching🙌😁
I personally loved the One Day book, but the series is immaculate in terms of casting and emotions. I loved both a lot
One Day- The show was fantastic!!!
Does wild love have spice?
I felt the same way about When the Moon Hatched. Loved it when I read it but can’t remember it 🤦🏻♀️
