I believe the word you're looking which describes what electronics and processors and things like that are made from is silicON, not silicONE. Silicone is what spray lubricants and breast implants are made from! 😅 Other than that, entertaining play through - please keep them coming! ;-)
Every time you play you take way too long to get those Silica plants growing. Even if you don't need the silica right away you know that you will need it later and you don't plant it until its too late. Useful thing that I have noticed also is that inedible crops don't need to be protected, so you can put things like the silica plants and cotton outside of your walls to free up space for things that actually need protecting like food crops. I advise building a huge field of the silica plants outside your walls and just forgetting about them until you actually need them and then you'll have plenty. That material Fabricator thing looks interesting, can it really replicate metals from nothing but energy? you should give that a try.
I forgot to mention your can hold shift and click on a research item and it gets shoved in the front of the line. Also top left orange check icon switches to the completed research if you're looking to see if something was already researched. I'm doing my run with mods and the new characters for a change. Grain silo, heck yeah! 👍👍
The lack of electronics is kind of crazy. But you got through winter much easier than I was afraid you would, considering how brutal this game can be. Also, I think it said the solar panels weren’t connected to anything? I couldn’t tell for sure what that meant, though. Either way, really loving this game. That mech is so useful. I didn’t expect that addition to the game but I’m really happy to see it.
You REALLY need to research the flare shield, It should've been done before building your first electronic item. That way Solar Flares won't affect your electrical items.
Build some fabricators. Yes it will consume more energy but it will also save a lot of your time and you can focus on expanding and building more efficiently and effectively.

@@Grillmastah I'm wondering if it's a feedback thing, since I'm guessing you generally don't record using a headset, and you use a soundbar/speakers for game audio. It's possible your mic is picking up some feedback from that causing a distortion. That being said all my sound equipment experience is based on stage work many years ago and I have no idea how video/audio capture works for recording/streaming purposes, so I'm really just spitballing here

You're worried too much about defense with the walls. The bugs ALWAYS head straight for survivors so if you just make a defensive structure at the edge of your base and send your survivors there the bugs will ignore the base and attack that structure. Save your resources for other things.

Pretty sure manure and ore need to be stored indoors. And ore stacks better on shelves than it does on stockpiles if i recall

It's a known issue, try watching on a phone or tablet, you won't notice the audio problem
