Ms Gay that sounds so tasty with the Hatch peppers the onion, the bacon, cheese and all the rest, yummy! I would like the Salsa too especially homemade, don't much like the store bought stuff. I think I’m allergic to my grey’s dander but I’ve had him for over 28 years. I couldn’t let him go now. He’s beautiful and precious, did I say messy 😂.

Beautiful quiche. For me, the onions make it. I love bacon and onions in my quiche. I also always use Gruyere in my quiche.
But, what does the mayo do. I’ve never thought to use mayo.
lol...I don't know. My recipe just calls for it....and I put it in! It is a good recipe...I have about worn it out thru the years.

Oh, how delicious!! I love quiche. I make a veggie one with broccoli, onions, mushrooms and sweet peppers, and roma tomatoes. Yum!! I also prebake the pie crust. My recipe didn't call for mayonnaise. I will have to try your recipe.

Looks delicious, I love quiche, my neighbor who passed away made absolutely the best quiche. Your right it’s scary going to the grocery store, prices are nuts. Every bills that comes goes up but the income doesn’t.
I just don't know what folks are gonna do. Youngsters just stating out....how in the world will they ever make it?
WOOHOO!! I love quiche, and Hatch chiles make anything better. I got 2 25lb cases of hatches a couple weeks ago which were roasted and put into jars along with making peach pepper jelly and peach salsa.
That's what I did a few years ago. 25 lb at a time...roasted....and seeded them....of course took skin off....and freeze dried them. I just didn't go find a jar today! lol
I just made one recently and it called for Le Gruyere cheese, very good but a pricey cheese. It’s a semi hard Swiss type cheese. The word quiche does sound or gives the impression of foo foo too fancy; but it is a great dish. Thanks for sharing Miss Gay.
Yeah....that cheese is delicious....but pricey! I guess the foo foo is why Troy didnt want any! lol
It may not be cheaper but election in November may be crazy. Rice and beans will do in an emergency situation.

I love that at the end of your videos you encourage your viewers to prepare for troubled days ahead. I just live about a 1/2 hour from you and went through that last crazy hurricane too. For only a cat 1 it sure was powerful. I was glad I had a full tank of gas and extra food. Haven’t had quiche in awhile, think I’ll make it for dinner tomorrow night. I’m just down the road in Conroe. We are blessed to have a full house generator. When we were buying it I fussed about the cost but now I realize it’s the best money we’ve ever spent. We were in the woodlands for Ike and here in Conroe for Harvey without the generator and without power for two weeks. Glad not to have to worry about that anymore . There’s enough to worry about with uprooted trees and unexpected leaks!! Good to see you and your videos again!! Hugs and prayers …. ❤

Wife and I love quiche. Troy might have liked egg pie. Hard to get a Texan to like quiche. My father-in-law and brother-in-law, both Texans, have a problem with the name.

Unless you have an aversion to feta cheese, you absolutely have to try adding feta and parm to your eggs/quiche. I never make eggs without feta and parm anymore (except for fried eggs or something).
I also love salsa and a dollop of sour cream on my quiche or scrambles.
I just read a recipe using feta. I love feat....so I will be trying it! Thank you for your tip!
I love quiche, hubby doesn't! & yes we all need to have emergency preparedness
We all need extra put aside....just never know what emergency situation will arise. One time my son and his wife lived a year on the groceries she had put aside. It pays to be wise!

Not a big fan of quiche. Probably because I'm not a big fan of pie dough, even on pies! LOL. Love the fillings, just not the dough so i usually do bakes. Love salsa on mine also. Even on scrambled eggs.
I know i can't get out of the grocery store for under $100 anymore just getting some basics! Been thinking of other things to stock up on that may not be readily available if something happens and i found i need bath towels and some blankets! I'll be watching for some sales on those items!
