Putting aside everything you said against Meowth, it is one of my favorite Pokemon to use. I greatly enjoy its Pay day move, which is actually quite decent in the early-mid game and gives extra money. But slash is a whole other level. It never fails a critical even with most Pokemon, add Meowth and it's insane with a base power of 140. And that's just Meowth. Evolve it to Persian and it would've been a beast.
I'd like to see a Krabby only run but *without HM slaves* since Krabby can learn cut, surf and strenght to travel through all necessary places in Kanto :-)

Yeah it's reasons like what they did to poor meowth(one of my favorites) at to why I stuck to the GBA pokemon games as I never went further than them. Now to the meowth video itself, I enjoyed it and am glad you did it. Thank you for showing off what a wonderful kitty Meowth is. It's also one of my permanent team members as well. One of the best things about these videos is that they are a break from all the politics and other nonsense out there on the internet Sometimes you just want to forget about it all and watch Pokemon challenges instead

Visual Boy-M. Record in short segments and label them as you go, sort into folders you can import into your video editting software. Write a script, and do it as you complete each leg of the game so the events are fresh in your mind when you write about them. I might make a "how to create a Pokemon challenge" video at some point. I've learned a lot a efficiencies as I've made these.
I like Meowth because of the anime. Pokemon was one of the only animes in the 90s where the rare and important monsters were based on cats--Mew and Mewtwo. Plus, there was Team Rocket's Meowth who could talk. That's what made me fall in love with Pokemon.

Perserker just disappoints me. It should been a different form for Primeape. It's like comparable to Rapidash not getting a Mega with wings bc Absol got it instead.

Meowth with high speed and slash almost seems broken. The game around it is broken enough that it isn’t foolproof. Thanks for doing one of my favourites. Meowth and Persian are awesome in gen 1 as they can be tanks against most types. Too bad that was lost in gen 2.
I like the level of detail for the content you chose to include, but in future videos, can you also go over how you choose which eeveelution you assign to the rival? For this, I don't mean discussing how it works, like how the rival gets jolteon if you win both the pallet town and option rival encounters, but more about which eeveelution is the hardest for your challenge. This can also consider the two pokemon that the rival will get out of ninetales/magneton/cloyster, based on which eeveelution you let the rival have. Generally I would think that giving your rival jolteon would be the hardest because it is the best gen 1 eeveelution, and it has great speed and special. Plus your rival would also get the defensively bulky cloyster. But this might not always be the best choice, especially if your starter isn't able to defeat the pallet town rival! I get that you might want to do a relatively minimum battles video, and you don't want the extra xp from the optional rival battle to make the brock fight easier, but it could be worth doing if it leads to tougher rival fights at the end.
I would like to see you make a video or 2 about gen 1 speedrun. In case you aren't in the know, there's 2 primary competing routes: The Blastoise Route or The Nidoking Route. I think you should do one of each and then compare and contrast them.
I could certainly do it from an unskilled perspective and present my research. I've avoided doing that sort of thing to this point though because I just know nothing about the speed running community... Other than watching all the Pokemon runs done on games done quick hehe

I don't know if it's on your list, but I think a Shellder challenge would be interesting. Perhaps not as difficult as most of the challenges you've attempted already, though. Speaking of this, though, I definitely think that almost any Pokemon you pick can drive through the game.

Could you possibly do a Solo Magmar run? It's not the most difficult, but it's my fav gen 1 mon and Fire wasn't the best type in gen 1, so maybe it would be fun. Or you can try a solo Magby/Magmar run in gen 2 lol

A random thought: if you complete a run with a pokemon that could evolve before hitting level 100, evolving it as a reward would be satisfying. Probably not worth the extra footage. XD
I like Meowth and Alolan Meowth (although I loathe Alolan Persian), but yeah... can't get behind Galarian Meowth. It is kind of stupid that they keep making bad regional variants of it when there are so many other Pokemon that would be cooler.
I wish other Pokemon had gotten more love too. There are actually a lot of great designs in gen 5. They would be interesting to see reinterpreted in another region. But we get to have more Meowth forms. :(
I kinda agree with your rant at the beginning that Meowth got too many regional forms. I do love galarian Meowth and its evolution Purrserker (they are wiking cats, what's not to love?), but I have a strong dislike for the Alola versions. Compared to all the videos of yours I've watched so far, I was pretty surprised here, as your interface is so....... non-existent :D Also, you sound a lot different. I mean, it's clearly your voice but you sound somewhat harsher. I'm glad you grew out of that :)

OG Meowth was my jam! I remember wanting to grind up coins for some Game Corner prizes but didn't want to lose them at slots, so I just spammed Pay Day in as many fights as I could. Ended up being a vital part of my team along with Butterfree, Fearow, Sandslash, Blastoise and Gyarados. But yeah... Galarian Meowth would have been more interesting if it was not a Meowth. I kinda dislike the idea of regional variants in general because they're either low effort color swaps, or something entirely different that could have been a new Pokemon species if they didn't try to pander to nostalgia. I get that it's a way to show that the same Pokemon can be different in different parts of the world, and make it a little spicier by giving it different types and personalities, but... I dunno, I think instead of Galarian Weezing we could have gotten a Poison Fairy type who did the same thing but looked like a bog beast.
Persian in gen one is a crit machine. Lmao loved persian in gen 1. Especially when you leveled the pokemon to 100. Trounce all the kids that got to 100 with the rare candys
Idk. Perrserker is one of my favorite Gen 8 Pokémon. I like regular meowth too. I’m not a huge fan of alolan meowth though. But I’m partial to all cats
So a couple tips because i genuinely want to see your channel grow, first you kinda say the same phrases a lot and i know with a game like pokemon thats hard not to do but something to keep in mind. And 2nd i think you should start asking people sub its shown that when you do that WAY more people sub than otherwise would've you're pulling in decent views but have kinda low subs this would be a great remedy to that hopefully.
Dont take this the wrong way, but the fact that you are most definitely NOT a Pokemon expert makes these even better. You forget stats, stabs, weaknesses etc, making some of these more tense and interesting. If you ALWAYS knew statistically whahlt move was best to use at all times, these would suck!
I'm learning a lot from every run because I get comments that help me improve weaknesses. So hopefully you'll enjoy watching my progression! Plus I'll always think Venomoth is Psychic Flying and use terrible moves against...

I never minded Meowth's regional forms. Alolan perisan will never be my favorite, and I just didn't even want to use the Galrian versions of either.
