Just got one and shower craps out at three minutes and center lasts for five and a half after multiple testing. I'm not doubting your test, but mine are consistent with other videos. Overall, the battery is great and the test times are definitely under what the manufacturer suggests.
Definitely a game changer and the heating accessory would be an absolute must for my wife and toddler. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this review.
They have refurbished units on sale for like $100-130. I always surfed with a weed sprayer and it was decent. My buddy was gifted a RinseKit Pro and it’s so sick! We can spray off our boards/foils/gear and ourselves with plenty water left. He said it’s enough for a few people and gear. It’s also very easy to pack more water or refill this wherever you’re at.
That is a must have! I agree that this is the perfect product for those remote needs for water. Not too large but enough water to be very useful. Definitely would get the heating rod. Adding this to my Jeep set up.
Since it has a battery powered pump, if it had a water filter attachment, I'd love to have on job sites where you have to bring in bottled water, on road trips and in a boat where you are surrounded by water that is not save to drink. It gets closer and closer to a complete solution. Keep on innovating.
I am building an outdoor shower beside my dock to rinse off after jetsking or our fishing...thsi would be AWESOME...and easy to take down/disconnect in winter...Virginkagets just enough cold to be a pain in December-Feb.
Those are exactly the sorts of use cases that I imagine this for! A portable shower that you can have setup at all times, and then move when you need to. That's sort of how it will be dialed into the van. Setup and ready to rock, then when we want to, just take it with us!
David you are an amazing ‘RUclips video person’… I’m grateful for your honest video. I will wait to buy mine when RinseKit make the improvements, but I agree, good price.
Man, if you ever get a chance to upgrade, I can't say enough good things about this unit! Still some cons in there, but for sure on my list of "for sure buys" for anyone getting into adventure!
Little vinegar and you're good to go👍 I've had it a good long time though and haven't needed to clean it yet. I shine a flashlight down in there to see if anything is growing and it's still super clean!
OMG a camp shower that can be recharged while driving. The are so many uses for our search and rescue group. In the field and at camp. Solves the water pressure issue. Wow, thanks David! 👍. Loved Zoe's cameo!
One of the most through reviews on a portable shower I have seen. Thank you. Very informative, especially letting me know about the hot water adapter they might be releasing. Thanks again.
Yeah, essentially while you're charging off of portable power, you can be running it as well. But that would mean the waterproof door to the 12V outlet would be open, so maybe not an ideal thing to do. Might be better to charge it up, then take a shower👍
Did you get their immersion heating rod yet? It’s 180 to heat up the water. Also, how do you like this after a year of usage? Have you found ways to put heated water into the units for the kid’s warm shower/rinse?
@@Rinsekit I didn’t mean to diss the Rinsekit, my comment was more in general pro having pressurized water at the campsite. I went with the Waterport because I need something that is mounted on my roofrack
So dang useful for camping! Stoked you're loving yours Andy. If that one ever dies, you should for sure check out the Pro. Super impressive to be able to just keep filling it up!
Cool product. Im really a fan of the Waterport 3.8. More slim lined, and black so you get warm water by leaving it in the sun for an hour without the heater. Slightly larger tank. Also added Air Compressor feature. The Battery power is super nice feature on the RinseKit but Waterport comes in at $200 at Costco. The convenience of the battery, for a second fill up isn't worth the $100+ when I have a battery powered or car charger air compressor in my ride already personally. Love the video though, portable water is so handy with these kids man lol
@@Rinsekit not sure what you mean? But i usally just take it with me, you know it has a pump in the lid, or I can use a small bicycle pump. ALSO my compressor is battery operated and fits in my pack or in a pocket. Its design being slim lined distributes the water weight better IMO making it easier to carry when full. Not like Im walking around all over the place with 40lbs of water usally anyways, and when empty the Waterport 3.8 is lighter if i was. Only thing weighing me down is that extra $100+ in my wallet.
@@Rinsekit Yeah, it worked as intended. But honestly I never found myself in a situation were I needed to rinse on a refill, were I didnt have my $30 flashlight sized battery air compressor. And thats all you need to pressurize the Waterport 3.8 (or use the attached pump) if you are in a refill situation and dont have access to a faucet. At the Lake, Beach, Camping, Kids Sporting events, Traveling Route 66, Dirt Biking etc, I ALWAYS have the compressor on me for kids inflatables, bike tires, sports equipment, air boats. The Waterport is heated by the sun, holds 3.8 gallons, has a more slimline design (making it easier for my wife to carry when needed.) For the $100+ saving I found having a Battery Compressor that doubles as a flashlight with the waterport fit my needs better then using the Pro so i returned it. Nothing wrong with the Pro, just in my experience, the set up I described above gave me more bang for my buck, and more flexibility for real world use. Loom forward to seeing future updates from RinseKit though as the company makes a VERY good product.
Great review! I heard the owner say you can add hot water to them. Have you seen in the manual what temp you can put in. Such as, piping hot water from the sink? Then it would sit in the car for a while and cool down by the time you need to use it. I bought the new one, the cube, and I want to know how hot the water can be going in. The cube, at this time, does NOT have an available heating element. You can buy the separate tank but its like another $400 bucks. dont need that.
So for the non camper that I am....now I can become a camper because I can have shower on the go? Is that what you're saying? :) How good is it for rinsing shampoo out of hair (at what setting)? Did you test that? Maybe that should be a wife test since she has long hair. LOL Questions: How durable is that hose nozzle? I drop my regular hose on the ground a lot...it looks like plastic...are there quick connect regular nozzles out there or is it proprietary? Too pad the rinse pro motion sensor doesn't have a shower setting or does it? Looks like it was just the one faucet setting?
I'll absolutely have Morgan test that out, because for me it works great for that, but she has super long hair, so for sure a bit more of a task. As for the durability, it's pretty dang solid of a unit and can be replaced via a quick disconnect. SUPER dope though, is that they sell extras for only $6.95, so I'm going to pickup a couple extras so that I always have a spare in the van in case of droppage🙌
@@DavidManningvlog Oh that's a cheap extra part...then no brainer for sure. Let me know when Morgan tests it out...always good when we can get the family involved! LOL
How sick would it be if there was a rinsekit ultra, basically a sink with a almost infinit amount of water by capturing the water when you wash your hands and filtering it and reusing it.
Questions,: Is the battery and/or pump replaceable? What kind of accessories do they make for the Basic unit? Handpump to pressurize unit? Hot water attachments? Etc... I would prefer the manual system over the electronic system.. $150.00 bucks sounds a lot more reasonable.
I'm not getting a battery smell at all out of mine. Maybe check to make sure that no water is getting under the main top plate. Not sure what would be causing that smell 🤷♂️
if the internal battery only lasts 3-6 months is a big no no, its nice that you can recharge the internal battery but if it dies altogether for 3-6 months its a no from me, is there a warranty?
No, the battery last about three months on a single charge! The battery itself will last many years. It’s the same type of battery that RVs use for their pump systems. Yeah, that thing will last forever!
Not sure if this has been asked in the comments, but how much pressure (in the jet and full setting) are we talking compared to a traditional garden hose attached to a house? I live in an apartment and mountain bike and would use this to clean my bike off so I could stop going across town to use my buddies hose. Thank you! Great review!

Yes. The website just says it is a 12V lead acid battery which aren't the best. I would want a user replaceable battery so you could then use a small LiFePO for longer battery life & longevity.
