If you're recalling during your unite, you can wait for the bar to reach the "v" under the word "Invincible". You can still recall home and get your unite explosion out.
Another tech would be if you time your agility as you are hopping off your surf, you will gain a massive amount of distance.
And light screen is important for mews damage. You can do solar beam into light screen and get it boosted. But you have to do light screen before electro ball in order for it to be boosted. And if you are doing a move while calling your light screen back, it will not be boosted.
There's even more tech for mew, which is crazy and this video only barely scratches the surface but does cover the simple parts of mews kit.
I’ve always wanted to do good with mew, but I guess I’m too smooth brained for such a mechanically advanced mon and gave up on playing it entirely 😅. This video is a big help
finally someone like me!
I always have this muscle memory whenever I am playing as Mew.
Close fighting and farming: Electro Ball/Light Screen
Mobility and chasing for KO:Electro Ball/Agility
Sniping:Solar Beam/Light Screen
Team Fighting:Electro Ball/Coaching
Disruption and also while using Unite Move:Agility/Surf(Because no squishies can survive from this combo)
In this case, I always try to think of these movesets whenever I feel like these conditions apply while also juggling with boosted autos. It took me a lot of time to learn but when the time came, I finally became good at Mew.
Same strat here! Used to coaching beam when it was good. Haha! I like surf and agility when escaping now
When you need to defend a goal area, I also like to use the surf / light screen combo. Both are really good to push back ennemies from scoring
I'm pretty good at playing Mew but coaching I always forget 😅
A thing I would like to add is if you have ult up, don't try get your boosted auto out first because for some reason, Mew's ult is disabled when you're charging up your boosted attack. The number of times I got killed because of my boosted auto stopping me from ulting is far more than I would've liked it to not do that.
its the same with changing moves, you just need to play around it

As a og mew player i say that even if you don't know how to use the boosted attack then just focus on your light screen its the 2nd most important part of its kit after the move reset buttton

Id really love a guide on jungle rotations when to farm, which lanes to gank, when to return to your jungle and which boss to push or to wait for your unite move etc..
No one is telling you about it because pretty much no one plays Mew. It's a very difficult Pokémon but great video.
The only thing that caught my attention was you saying, "BYE!" I don't remember hearing this word cuz you always do a smack down ending
I already figured out a good amount of what you were saying on my own but from what I’m gathering:
1) I need to be way more active with move swapping
2) I need to start valuing my boost attacks wayyyyy more
3) I need to figure out what build you’re running and max out the held items for it 😅
For me i always used surf+agility mew to score first then steal their wild pokemon using max sp attack emblems
6:30 i dont play mew yet but i feel that patience like this is really important, and players including myself need to practice it more. i struggle not to ult things off cooldown as venu and garde especially LMFAO

Did you know if you need to recall while in mews unite you can time it so your untie still damages people around you the same time as returning back to base allowing mew to pick up some cheeky ko’s
Cris can i request that the next guide be snipe shot inteleon... I personally don't need it i think. Maybe it could help me... But 90 percent of my snipe shot inteleons don't even fell stinger... Please i need less of that in America
This content is peak. I’ve been wanting to learn mew but it’s hard and i also want to climb to master so i can actually play the game. This is a huge help - more content like this!
This was really helpful but I do wonder when would be the best times to run surf screen or surf agility.
It's good to get reminded once in a while about how Mew works, he's definitely one character you can very easily get rusty with if you don't play him every game (and you won't because haha random pick attackers)

I clicked this video with excitement, but I learned nothing, I already knew everything in this video. One update on top what Cris said, during unite with low health, don't recall in a rush, if there are lots of enemy waiting for your unite to end, you just stay there and recall while the recall bar hits the letter V in the invincible word. That way, unite will hit them, and you are safe at home, nothing is wasted, and you can get KOs too. There are so so so much more about Mew Cris didn't even cover. Mew has way more mechanics than this single video can cover, its a 100% skill Mon, it is so fun, and so cute too. I am so glad they designed Mew the way it is, it can be a bit more in my opinion since it is a high skill cap pokemon. Mew's moves cooldown should be the same as its counterparts, Blastoise, Pika, mime, and Venu. If anything should be even stronger, afterall, its Mew, its a superior version of them ALL! Coaching needs buffs, I rarely use coaching, not because I don't know how to use it, its just a very teammate dependent move, it is literally useless in soloQ, most players don't even know how to use the pokemons they choose themselves, let alone understand anything about Mew. Like when Cris was ripping bot regi alone with Mew, he did the right thing by choosing coaching, but he was in soloQ, no one showed up didn't surprise me at all. If it was me, I would have chosen agility for sure, you can never rely on people. Love Mew, buff skill Mons, nerf auto shit Mons!
that's all these small details that differanciate a good and a bad mew player
i always struggle with mew after the laning phase maybe i can play a bit better now and bring up his winrate. i love playing him but i feel like im useless late game with him
Theres a few mons with a high skill ceiling that I don't understand because I don't play them like Mew. So this really do helps a lot!
I still dont know what light screen does that is so important to beam, other than more damage, but is it only for beam?
just increases damage for electro and beam its a lot of more dmg though
You can use it to block/push enemies
Block enemies , stun enemies, push or pull enemies , creater distance between you and enemy , increases the aoe and damage of solar beam and electro ball and increase the distance surf travels .
Overall if not for light screen I would never have played Mew .
U good with light screen then u good with Mew .
@@lovecatsforeverMeow being good at a single move will never make you the best tho lol. With you Mew you must use between 6 moves, depending on the situation you’re in. Like coaching will sometimes be better than light screen in a big team fight

I would love to know how you change your moves while you keep moving. I need to use the same thumb to move that I do to select my moves. So it’s hard to switch moves mid fight

Yes, the further the little psychic ball travels, the more damage it deals (4% more damage per threshold, stacking additively). So yes, the greater the distance, the more damage dealt by boosted attacks.

Do you recommend playing surf on mew? I kinda like it when the enemy team has a lot of CC so I can avoid being stunned
I recommend to play all moves on Mew. Mew is eh without switching moves appropriate to the situation
