Dr D Veerendra Heggade is the visionary behind the journey that has now reached Kshemavana. A renowned philanthropist, he is the hereditary administrator or Dharmadhikari of the Dharmasthala Temple. He, along with his predecessors, have played inspiring roles in administrative, political, legal, religious and developmental movements in the history of Dharmasthala. In 2015, he was awarded the prestigious Padma Vibhushana Award by the Central Government of India in recognition of his accomplishments, and he has been nominated as a Rajya Sabha member in 2022.
