I have a similar hermes baby, it's a slightly different model. No gull wing ribbon covers, and the return lever is bigger, though. I don't know if it's a more modern, or older design of it. All I can say is that it's very comfortable to type with.

Ppl always say “One of the best”. What others would you include in that category? Thank you. I’ve just bought a Hermes Baby. Can’t wait to get it in the post.

That is a handmade cotton decked edge imported. I Emboss it with my monogram. If you wanna send more memorable notes, you might want to take it up a notch.. For man you scraps I just use typewriter paper

What is the best height for a manual typewriter? Old typewriter tables and desks are 3 or 4 inches lower that standard desk.

Whatever height works best for you. I write standing on a variable height surface, generally, though the patio table also works. Follow computer keyboard ergonomics or piano. I vary it to avoid fatigue.

I also like standing for a more embodied process.

this is very unprofessional and my heart is breaking just seeing him do it.

My only advice would be to be wary of social media if your heart is broken so easily. Also perfectionism kills dreams. So if you've never written a book, or a thing, I suggest getting to writing and not really worrying about what you perceive as 'professionalism.' Scrolling social doesn't count. ;)
