I can’t imagine most modern girly girls wanting to try out the styles of the 90’s. Tiny, short cuts, pixie cuts and tiny bobs. All diy.. We NEVER went to a “Salon” as teens and early 20’s. No way!! That was for (gak) trendy squares. Haha. Everyone had a friend or three who would cut everyone’s hair. Gee, I miss the simplicity of the 90’s. Oohhhh.. Hahaha.. Did y’all ever think you’d look back at the ‘90’s with such nostalgia and longing for simpler days?
That smile from the hairdresser is why I go to the salon (if they frown ☹️ don't go back) but if they smile when your also touching your hair 😍 that's it! Best sign ever 🤣
You base how good your hairdresser is on how fake they are? Lol. Because trust me hon...those are fake smiles. I fake smile at my clients every day. Every. Single. Day.
just a reminder that when you get layers, 90s haircuts, anything like that, you WILL NOT wake up with that volume, the hairdressers put in tons of product when they wash it and/or when it’s dry, it’s also the blow dryer they use if they used one. you will have to style it everyday to get the full volume, but that’s not a bad thing i have layers and i do it almost everyday 😂
Me too, I regret it since I have curly hair and its looks terrible if I dont style it, and its imposible to grow it straight since there are really short hair and then really long one
Just wear it up one some days you don’t have time to style it 😊 I have insane layers and I do have to style it, the days I don’t I just wear it up in a claw clip
Could one say that some 90s hairstyles were "influenced" by the 70s? I know it's a foreign concept but many models during the 90s had this exact look. Hell my own mother had this one for years during the 90s. It was trending back then.
@@LadyMaverick823 exactly... Inspired from the 70s still makes it 70s not 90s go where history started. If anything the wolf cut is the updated version and more 90s and we're recreating THAT today.
@@andie3448 This. I could say the "real" 90s haircuts are way more grungeish and "daring", like bobs with spikey bangs or wild manes (like really wild, no "trying to look wild" with 45 minutes of combing behind).
@@stephaniekeeping I literally just did not do the trendy thing in the 90s. But some of us kids were more into 70s style in that period, and maybe that was me. I have just always loved a middle part.
True but sexy gals like Pam Anderson had hair like this really big hair. I think that's the look she was going for and that's why she is saying 90's. She's thinking bombshell not Rachel from Friends but I hear you.
If this makes you feel better it's doesn't matter how thin or thick hair is the hairstyle and volume can always be achieved either way it's all about techniques and strategy 🥰
The 90s got a lot of looks inspired from the 70s. I was a teenager in the 90s. This hair is 90s supermodel hair. (Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford etc)
I’ve had this cut almost my whole life (born early 90s) and my hair never had that volume - it’s the thickness of her hair and a bit of the product they used. Just a warning for the fine hair ladies out there to not be disappointed, always think 100x before you do or believe something you see on social media.
Yea, ikr lol Everything ~old~ is considered something from the 90s for zoomers, though. Kinda’ like how growing up in the 80s and 90s, 60s and 70s seemed like ancient times for us. If anything, that hairstyle looks like a typical run of the mill everyday style you’d see on the streets. The standard “give me layers that will frame my face, please” cut. Only difference is the amount of product and volume added, which would be more in line with late 70s and early 80s styles.
so today i got my hair done from my aunt (my aunt is a hair stylist). i had to trim it because it was getting really long and knotty. so today i cut a few inches off and got layers and curtain bangs.
👀 You got your hair professionally done, but then you had to trim knots out, cut layers, & bangs yourself. I'd hire you as my stylist cuz I couldn't fix a new cut! You're a natural!! 🏆
Y’all got some great stylist/client chemistry. Y’all should put out videos together and do a bunch of themed “Get Ready For…..” series from work to prom to wedding and other events! Just a thought AND I LOVE how the look turned out!!! 🙂❤️😍
This is more like a 70's cut, back in the 90's our hair was really straight. The Rachel was just about as high as it got. We went low after the high of the 80'sþ
yeah well some of us have very fine, thin hair, so no matter the cut, mine will NEVER look anything like that! basically get curtain bangs, which i’ve always had, looks like they’re coming back!

This looks more like mid 70’s than 90’s. Then again, a lot of 90’s hairstyles took from those eras too. Look really nice either way
I was about to comment the same thibg
Yeah.. ain’t nothing 90s about this haircut. Most 90s styles were not super Long hair at all.

To truly be 90s, it needs a side part. We would never have done a center part like our mothers did in the 70s. We were way too modern
