Couldn’t agree more. I think many people underestimate him and don’t like him because of his life affairs but he’s not a no name actor for sure. He used to be popular though. He acted with many top actresses like Yang mi and his ex wife (ZLY) and his series was popular as well.
The female lead has a knack for making people around her suffer...she does a lot of petty things they were very unnecessary.. And when the consequence comes she blames everyone except herself.. Just like in goodbye my princess where she killed her father people with her selfishness and her mother side with her childishness then go ahead to drink water of forgetfulness cos of love..yes she choose to forget thousands of people who made a sacrifice for her just because she want to forget love.. Now she wanted the princess to run away damming all consequence and maybe when the so powerful tribe annihilate her tribe she uses her life to abhor hate and revenge..something that could easily be avoided from the beginning.. I wish they made her decision more sensible. She does a lot of things and get away with it they made it obvious she will stuck in our face till last episode

So Yezi kinda likes Yi Wu You but she never allows her feelings grows for him because she knew that the princess was infatuated with him. The king of Yebei was a wolf and went back on his words. He sacrificed his daughter for sneak attack. In Yezi's mind she was fulfilling a wish for her friend.
If you want to watch something Gorgeous, you should watch goodbye my princess. The costumes and setting are stunning, not to mention the cinematography as well.
Too old isnt a prob if he doesnt look like uncle..but here he really didnt matched the heroine. I do understand tho bc his character are great chao emperor but i couldnt bear this kind of romance while my visual ruin bc of the mismatched🙃
