I worked for Samsung between the year 2012-18 and made multiple visits to Samsung Headquarters@Korea. The whole campus is truly mind-blowing and almost like a small city inside. They take care of their employees in every aspect. Proud to be part of world's no1 smartphone maker during my journey. It was a great experience in every aspect of it.

Living 5 years in Korea really gave me the true power n image of this company, giving Lee family strong political influence. For those wondering, (this goes with Microsoft as well), Samsung uses MacOS and Apple products because of beta and app testing so they will work well on competing devices. They have to. The vast majority of US customers uses Apple products and the rest of the world uses Android and Windows. It's not that they want to use Macs, they have to so they can better their company and improve on what Apple gets wrong to slowly beat out the competition. Studying Apple's software to get a better understanding on what they are doing right and how they can build on that.
And, that is just Samsung Electronics and there are heaps more mega subsidiaries within Samsung Group in Korea. For example, Samsung Engineering, Samsung Biologics, Samsung SDI, Samsung Heavy Industries, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine, Samsung C&T (Construction and Technology), Samsung Everland (Hotel, Themepark, Hospitality, and Real Estate business), University (Sungyunkwan University), SMC (Samsung Medical Center), Automotive (in corporation with Renault in Korea), Clothing Apparels (Cheil), ..... and the list goes on and all of them makes millions to billions of profits too. Just incredible.
I was impressed with the Samsung Innovation Museum when we visited last Saturday. Remember if you want to visit during week days then you need to make an online reservation and join a guided tour group. On Saturday you can simply turn up as you wish. It is closed on Sundays

Especially in the tech industry that is fast paced. Corporate espionage is also a thing around multinational companies.
This is because tech spies from China, the country right next to Korea, are constantly trying to steal tech. In fact, there have been many cases of technology theft.
