I'm loving the pre-laid track option because it's good but not perfect. It's great for ideas, and lets my friend play with the trains since he hates laying track, and it lets me pick and choose which tracks to improve while giving my ideas for things to do. This update has been a blast so far!
On Aurora falls some of the track are ultra tight, i played Mr Bones Wide Ride with both the Shay and Class 47, so i have spent time re-laying the track
What do you mean? The maps were created with 50m curves. Minus a couple on Pine Valley, I think there is 1 35-45 degree curve. 50m curves can handle a class 125 going around it.
Were these fixed post hotfix coz the curves were set at 35 and 40 degrees on the original update at least for me, these were on the slope going to the lumber yard including the reverse loop at the bottom and on the hill between the steel mill and the sawmill, I've haven't played since hotfix so the stock route could be fixed
@@darknut9696 No, I did make some changes to some of the maps layouts, some tracks got buried in the ground trees/rocks in the lines. I will have to check Aurora Falls again and see if I missed some curve smoothing on those routes. Even still you should be able to make it around those kinds of curves, just slowly.
Not easy laying track up the side of those hills though as straight as you’d like it your having to work within the limitations of the gradient as well to reach the top, so you end up adding curves just for more track to reach the top. It’s good to have a few iffy points where you need to slow anyway would get a bit boring if it was all to perfect.
havent played RRO in a while. Installed trying to play the pre laid map. But cant figure out why his game looks nothing like mine, as in the menu screen. Trying a beta now, but id love to play this map :(

At 6:18. That bridge gives me anxiety.
they did a nice job on the pre laid map for lake valley plus 2 locs montazuma and the glenbrook
And nice job on the aurora falls with the coal burner and the shay with the big gondola plus the twist
you missed the 9.5% Grade on the iron mine route.
