Joseph You can tell they had more time and money on the 92 suit. That suit is still my favorite of all time. The way that cowl fit to Keaton’s head was perfect.
dunno if anyone gives a shit but if you're bored like me atm then you can watch pretty much all the latest series on InstaFlixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother during the lockdown :)
2:21 as a kid, my brain latched onto the yellow part of the logo. So I thought the Batman sign was a grinning pumpkin face for several years until one day I just unsaw it. Being a kid is weird.
One thing I think is noteworthy with the first Batman Forever suit (aka the “Panther” suit) is how the bat on the chest emblem is more threw-dimensional rather than flat than previous suits. This would continue with the first Batman & Robin suit. I actually really liked the Panther suit (minus the nipples). It’s sleek, and the golden hue combined with that three dimensional bat really gave the suit life and panache.
+JOHNNY B GUITARS Thanks. I've wanted to go back and do videos focusing on the two Columbia serials themselves. I definitely have ample notes made already and a ton of footage ready to edit. Maybe one day.
+Junkball Media Ive thought about doing one as well, just because when people talk about those two movies they pass them of as jokes. don't get me wrong I think at times they are hilarious but you have to take into consideration the purpose in which they were made and it was a different time back then. I really believe if it wasn't for all those silly goofball serials all the stuff we love so much now just wouldn't be the same. I would love to see that video if you ever do it.
My favorite outfit would be if the 92 suit emblem was on the 89 suit but with the integrated Bat tech in the suit like in the Sonar suit but no Batnips with lines on the cape that unfold when gliding with the 89 gadgets and belt including the body armor in the 89 suit. Including the armor plates. I would also add the 95 cowl fabric because it has more neck mobility. I don’t really like the bat crests on the 89 cowl either but I can get over it.
Ben Affleck's suit is the best for me. Very Frank Miller. And the way he moved was on point. None of the other movies captured that aspect of Batman in my opinion.
I always thought the nipples and the codpieces (not to mention the molded asses) were just going way too far. Others have pointed out that no one seemed to have a problem with the Catwoman suit that was practically skintight vinyl but I don't think it's the same. There was no "camel toe" built in and there were no nipples. If there were people would have lost their shit. And rightfully so. That would have been way over the line. The fact that Schumacher's Batman movies had a very gay sensibility is not a problem in itself but when the Batsuit is made into a fetish suit that is going too far. The Burton suits idealized the male form. Schumacher's were fetishized. Not the same. It's also different because Catwoman is meant to be a sex symbol. Her character is based on using sexuality to achieve her goals. The suit needs to be sexy by its nature. It's not a good comparison. Batman is not Rocky Horror. They should not have let Schumacher do that. It was completely inappropriate and helped turn Batman back into a joke after they put so much effort into making him a character who could again be taken seriously.
I feel Batman Returns had the overall best Batsuit design for the supernatural aspect. If they were just able to get the form fittingness and mobility of George Clooney's cowl and Batsuit, then perfection.
I have to correct you on one point. You state in the video that Warner Bros didn't purchase DC until the late 1980's and that is wrong. Time-Warner purchased DC Comics parent company National Publications in the mid-1970's. Even though they still used the National Publications identifier in the copyright info until the early 80's the "A Time-Warner company" identifier was included as well.
Maybe it's just me, but I wish one of the films could have used his non armored costume, with the bat in the yellow oval, as that was originally a target for criminals to aim for, the chest was protected, nothing else was.
I guess all Batmen think that's just too much of a risk... with the amount of guns and other firearms the criminals posses. He'd have to be super-sneaky or rely on his gas bombs more
christian gonzalez Definitely. I rushed making Part II, and left some stuff out. I don't want that to be the case with Part III, but I'll definitely finish it.
Calling all comic experts, I am in need of an answer to this question: What is the in-universe reason that the original, Earth 1, pre-Crisis, 1939-1986 batsuit has a bat logo on the chest? I know that the post-Crisis reason is to be a target for crooks to shoot at the most armored part of the batsuit, but as far as I've seen, they don't explain why it's there in the original, pre-Crisis canon. Batman is shown to have a bulletproof vest in Batman #1 from 1940, but they don't say that that's the reason the suit has a bat logo on it. Anyone?
During the filming of the unsuccessful movie, Time Warner (now Warner Bros. Discovery) was about to acquire Turner Broadcasting System which was completed on October 10, 1996.
I really dig the 89 and 92 suits. Both are comic book in style, but not over done. A good mesh between fantasy and reality.
Joseph You can tell they had more time and money on the 92 suit. That suit is still my favorite of all time. The way that cowl fit to Keaton’s head was perfect.

@Santiago Chris yup, I have been using InstaFlixxer for since november myself =)
Returns suit will always be my favorite....after BvS.
I’d say my favorite out of this era of movies is the 92 suit, the armored look is more appealing to me.
2:21 as a kid, my brain latched onto the yellow part of the logo. So I thought the Batman sign was a grinning pumpkin face for several years until one day I just unsaw it. Being a kid is weird.
The same happened to my 😂
Me
Never had hat with Batman, took me years though to realize Superman's chest symbol is an actual S, it just looked like some random pattern to me
The most interesting & humorous Batsuit video i have seen to date. You are a genuine researcher, you earned a lot of respect from me.
Kilmer's suit is my favorite! The perfect balance between Keaton and Bale.
My favorite batsuit is the 89 Batsuit because the suit is really growing on me and I love the 89 emblem.
Samuel Keller the panther suit is my favorite
Wish they would released the panther suit for Arkham knight
I agree. I think the only downsides to the suit are the nipples and that the belt isn't yellow
I would love to see Keaton don the cape one more time.
And so you shall.
*_He’s too busy wearing wings instead._*
Granted
Your dream is gaing to come true in october -november
I've got news for you.
Batman Returns and Batman begins are the best batsuits
I like the val kilmer batsuit. but I've always been a fan of grey and blue batman
Batman & Robin And Batman 89 Are My Favorite s
Your Star Trek videos are my favorites, but you really did a great job on these!
Fantastic video. Really loved all the background information about the suits and behind the scenes!
I love the 92 suit cause it's very streamlined and very gothic like.
The black 1989 Batman suit is my favourite one.( Out of all of them )
3:57 They could have pulled off with the black eye makeup by rotoscoping around the eyes right before Batman rips off the cowl.
Wow... great idea :)
With the HD and 4K versions of the movie, the lack of make-up becomes super-obvious :D
BatMan Forever Is My Favorite, So Is BatMan '89' And Batman Returns.
What's with the Friday The Thirteenth Part 3 theme playing throughout?
Love the Michael n val in the start of the movie suit
I didn't know about the bat shot evolution until now thanks man 🙌😎
Batman 1989 for the win. Easily my favorite one from Batman: Arkham Knight.
The Bat Turn is B-Man's signature move.
Kinda reminds me of those bat creatures from Beastmaster.
1989 and 1992 are my favorite suits
'89 is my all time favorite suit.
I love 1989 1992 batsuits
I think the best suit is in Batman Returns.
For this part:
1.sonar suit
2.92 suit
3.89 suit
4.panther suit
5.artic suit
6.nipple suit
Bravo! Another fantastic video!
Batman forever ❤️😜❤️😜❤️🦇🦇👍👍👍
Loving your channel :)
Im a big fan of the 43 and 49 versions, not too many people even know they exist let alone talk about their place in Bat history, great video!

Batman and Robin came in 1997 not 1998
lol i noticed that too ha
4:56 artwork amazing
Friday the 13th part 3 music, awesomeness.
Overall suit and cowl: 1989
Logo: 1992
Cape: 1995
Nope
@@Ian-hj4yt Always with the no's, never any yes'
Interesting to see the Forever cape chosen specifically. Why so?
Batman & Robin came out in 1997
He probably lives in a different country and it was released in a different year.
@@MDE128 Sounds american to me, Must have been an honest mistake

That's super-specific, BatBuddy :D
You should do a similar video about the Arkham games.
Im pretty sure I had all the Batman toys from your video. Even the bat mobile that lunches off the sides to go through tight spaces.
Glad we have grey and black again mate. Love the keaton suits though
Batman forever and batman & Robin was like you were doing so good on an arcade game and your friend budges in and ruins the game
I LOVE all this batsuits 😍
Batman & Robin came out in 1997!
I really like the 1995 movie!!!
is 1997 no 1998

If the cowl fits, then wear it:

What if in this video have added another video and in those videos there were batman and batwoman batsuit evolution of movie (1989 - 1998)
The 92 suit is my favorite live action Batman suit
val kilmer,,,best one of batman,,,he got far more better lips than the rest of the batman actors,,,his lips is a lot fuller,,,
My favourite batlips are Michael Keaton's ;)
Batman and Robin is made in 1997 not 1998.
Affleck's suit from BvS was the absolute best.
3:28 1989 still looks better
Yup
Plus the dope symbol
89 suit is the best
Both are great
"Depression era box car bum" lol
Lovin' the random Kiss poster at 6:00

Well, Kinney National Company renamed as Warner Communications (now Warner Bros. Discovery) in 1972.
At 1:00 you could see the wire where Batman is coming down
That was intentional ;)
It's part of his batgadgets since he can't fly. It's not the first or the last time they show it
I hear the Friday the 13th part 3 theme
Me too
I'm Batman. I'M BATMAN! Hi, Freeze. I'm Batman. I'MMMMMMMM CAPTAINNNNN KIRRRRRRK!!!!!
Why did the Friday the 13th theme song come on at 3:15?
Honestly, if there's anything that the pre-Nolan suits did right, it was the bat ears. I hate the short stubby ears, it just looks wrong.
I agree. My favourite cowls and ears are 1989 and 1992 :)
Maybe it's just me, but I wish one of the films could have used his non armored costume, with the bat in the yellow oval, as that was originally a target for criminals to aim for, the chest was protected, nothing else was.

That music when the 92 suit section starts is from Friday the 13th part 3 right?
Pls do part 3
christian gonzalez Definitely. I rushed making Part II, and left some stuff out. I don't want that to be the case with Part III, but I'll definitely finish it.
+Junkball Media can't wait for part 3 :)
+Junkball Media take your time man. John Williams said it best to George Lucas "Do you want it done tomorrow, or do you want it done well?"
WE MEET AGAIN MR.ICantTurnMyNeck !
My favorite part
Only the 89 suit looks like it might be armoured and looks worn. The others look too shiny, like a costume and not a practical suit of armour.
Batman had Nike's, wow!! 😃😄
Got the Friday the 13th part 3 theme going
I believe i can fly, i belive i can touch the void
@Junkball Media
Can you please do a video on Batgirl & Batwomen costumes
Have there been that many live action versions?
Sonar and the BB suit handsdown

I’m a marvel fan but the 1989 or 1992 Batman is my favourite
The 92 batsuit was reused in The Flash from last year.
1:22, Hey! It's Arkham Assylum
did anyone saw that beefy black model in a batman mask picture?
The batman returns suit is good but compared the 89 suit it almost lacks quality with the six packs and muscles
Yes :)
I kinda prefered the fake abs body-armor of 1989
Bat-nipples is reference to Spartan armor
hey man wheres part 3
Just posted it. :)
I saw it good videos bro
I wouldn't mind batnips so much if they weren't suspiciously absent from alicia silverstone's batgirl suit.
737215 gender equality!
Look closely and you'll notice that her suit did have nipples, they just weren't as heavily defined as on the Batman and Robin suits.
JW G that not bat nipple that bat boob
Cargo pants
Tactical harness
Fuck the cape: Parachute
Keep the cowl: bam
Horrible.
6:23 You mean, 1997?
Kilmer's suit is obviously the best
What's with the funky Friday the 13th Part III theme?
Post 1992, the Batsuits went backwards in terms of appearance.
Blue batman looks much better than the black batman costume!!!
Adoro os Filmes do Batman!!! Mas o filme que mais Gosto é o Filme do Val Kilmer.
