I went to the first showing the day before and remember seeing a ton of people online heated, calling to get both shows canceled. Insane looking back, but at least Tame Impala is my favorite concert of 2020 lol
I went here. Not only was it the last concert before quarantine, it was also the last concert with my gf of 3 years before we broke shortly after. Crazy hearing this after all that happened
Harold Edinjiklian hey man I wasn’t for my girl nearly as long as you ( year and a half) we broke up about 2 months ago, I’m doing fine now man I’m actually happier than I’ve ever been. You got this man just really focus on being happy with yourself if you need anyone to talk to I got you my guy.
It's been amazing since currents tbh they put so much work into little details of each of their songs. It sounds different than most of their album versions which make them an amazing act to see live
The fact that this was my first tame impala show seeing him live days before the rest of the tour would get canceled because of covid makes me feel so blessed, best day ever
Everyone who was at this show knows how special it was. Earlier on the day of the show, both the NBA and the MLB indefinitely postponed their season as the COVID strain appeared more and more on US soil. Cases were spiking. America's dad Tom Hanks got covid that day. I saw this news a few hours before the show started, at my best friends house in LA. I had flew in that morning from Austin TX. It was my birthday. We were tripping acid, ready for the show but the idea that the Tame show might, too, get postponed was ever-present in our trippy heads. In the Taxi on the way over we blasted Mind Mischief. I saw a little girl skipping with a rose in her hand, the bud of the rose fell off and she kept skipping. We arrived at the Forum, a colosseum lit up in Slow Rush Red. Anticipation was building. It was the third show of his tour after he released his album that previous Valentine's Day. Them vibration of One More Year filled the stadium and the show began. I've seen Kevin about four times before but there was a new, evolved energy about him. Just imagine the energy he felt, able to play his new music after touring Currents since 2015. He was in full form, confident as ever but still maintaining his introverted rock-star energy. Eventually was the last song of his set and blew everyone away. Such incredible energy in that crowd. Elephant was so great with so many like minded fans really. I've seen Tame twice since then at Outside Lands and Austin and while he crushed those sets too, there wasn't much like March 11th 2020 at the Forum, the best birthday I could ask for. One More Year of waiting in the afterglow as the pandemic roared. Much Love.
This is beautiful. When the guy said "It's almost over!!!" with that beautiful guitar in the background i got chills. Idk why, but It sounded like he was in a movie
This night hurts me so much, I have to tell my story. This was my first show of Tame Impala, I waited in line like you were supposed to in order to get your wristband for the nights viewing. I was so thrilled, I was number 13! I had loved all his music ever since his first self titled EP and my favorite song is Mind Mischief. I made conversations with those in the very front of the line and near me. When we eventually got to the last stop before they would let us on to the floor, I was so nervous, and so excited. Right before they let us go, the head of security said "Don't run! Pass it down the line!" They said if one person runs, then everyone else will start to run. Me being on the autistic spectrum, I always follow the rules and take things literally. When they let us through, I walked like I was supposed to. I had my eyes set on a certain space where I could rest my arms. Out of nowhere, this girl with short hair comes in and swoops in front of me and takes my spot. I try to be cool and say "You're going to do me like that?" She did not respond. I said "Excuse me, you cut me." She said "WHAT ARE YOU? THE LAW?" She turned her head and looked down at my feeble hands sandwiched between her left elbow and the couple next to me resting on the railing. Two seconds pass and she returns to looking forward. It was like a scoff, like she was saying "thats enough room for you". I got really angry, I have a hard time communicating in the first place, and this girl wasn't responding. I started pushing her so I could get more room on the handlebar. In the process, my elbow accidentally brushes her breast. Now, I'm gay, I love what the gay community likes to call "bears". 300 lb hairy, husky, masculine men. That is what I'm attracted to. She screams "Hey!!" And the girl of the couple to the left of me says "Is he with you?!" I feel like the villain in this moment like I did something wrong. Even though it was an accident. The girl whose breast I accidentally brush with my elbow, calls security over. She is explaining something but her accent is so thick I can't understand it, and I feel like a terrible human being. Lastly, the security guard says "Do you want to take it higher?" She says no. In that moment, my intuition told me she was in the wrong. Why wouldn't she want to take it higher? I have regret that I did not take it higher. I would use the facts that I am number 13 on my wristband, she is number 25, and I am GAY. After the security guard leaves, I try to humanize the situation, I ask her questions like "What is your favorite song?" She was still being rude and disrespectful like "Are you fucking kidding me? I don't want my concert night to be ruined." She eventually answers some questions and opens up. She says that she is from Peru, and that she had seen Tame Impala 7 to 8 times, that she had been traveling the world following Kevin Parker. She says "sorry I don't always think sometimes." This was my FIRST concert. I don't like many bands, I don't get out much, I hate crowds, there is no other music that takes me away like that of Tame impala. The girl apart of the couple I noticed had switched sides with her boyfriend. I said "I'm sorry that you girlfriend felt uncomfortable." The Mexican boyfriend said "I think she was feeling bad for the girl more than anything." Eventually, there was a short African American girl behind me who asked "When Tame Impala comes on, do you mind if I switch with you?" She told me her name was Fiona. I said yes, you could because I am tall and I guess I am too nice. This was MONTHS ago and my mind continues to relive that night over and over. I am hurt, I felt like a villain, I felt ostracized even when I followed ALL THE RULES. Now I cannot listen to Tame Impala without thinking about that girl from Peru who cut me ruined my experience. I get angry, depressed, feel powerless, and I don't know how to move on from this experience.
Damn dude I’m surprised her rude ass didn’t give you covid! I was at the show too and we stayed on the stairs away from our seats because we were paranoid about getting sick. It was my first show too, I’m glad we were one of the last people to see TI!!!
@@CinthiaGarciaEvidenceChannel Thank you for being so positive Cinthia, I hope you had a great time at the show! I hope it was a lasting experience that will bring your happiness for years to come.
Fuck her! A phenomenal band shouldn’t remind you of shitty people. I’m sure she’ll get that karma right back to her. That girl had no right and could’ve waited her turn like a person and not a snob. I’m sorry for your experience, fuck those shitty people.
Fuck, I remember this night like it was yesterday. The vibe the Forum had with Tame was amazing. Sadly, this was the last concert before they shut down everything due to covid, but definitely a night to remember.
Saw them perform for the first time 11/3 @ The Hollywood Bowl. This song was my all time favorite moment. I literally get chills when thinking about it. I hope they play at The Forum again soon cause the crowd at the Bowl sucked and Kevin deserved way better.

I would love to hear these songs live so much but I will probably never do that :( Please Tame Impala just organize a trip to Europe. It seems fascinating.
I was around the 4th row. I got there around 4:00 show started at 8:00. However I got lucky and got closer, I was initially like 10th-15th row, there were two split lines at the entrance. I’m going again in November, I’d go this time around 3:00.
however I bet it varies based on where you’re seeing the show, this was LA so it was a bigger venure and more die hard tame impala hippies (including my sis and I) lol.
this is so PAINFUL. watching this live literally the day before everything got shut down was a blessing
I went to the first showing the day before and remember seeing a ton of people online heated, calling to get both shows canceled. Insane looking back, but at least Tame Impala is my favorite concert of 2020 lol
it actually physically hurts to watch this, i swear at the end he sounds like he’s about to cry
this was the best night of my life
I was there. Amazing.
I was there! Soemthing told me to go bar hopping after. Got home at 5am and woke up to “eveything in Los Angeles shuts down” 😭
I want to see this song live so bad. Like HIT ME WITH YOUR SPEAKERS.
I saw them in St. Augustine, FL back in 2019 and the subs when the chorus started were bone shaking lol
SAME, I don’t think I’ll ever be fully satisfied in life until I see them perform this song live
i'm not crying i swear
i'll see you very very soon :(
it's the 'thank you for being here' that gets to me
It’s the promise that kills me 😪

i feel ya - I was there too and had an extra ticket to sell because of a breakup
How you holding up man

Their live show has gone to another level since this new album

Do you remember we were standing here a year ago...our minds were racing and time went slow...
If there was trouble in the world we didn't know......If we had a care, it didn't show.......
i remember when I went to this concert while this song was playing a guy next to me smoked a whole blunt and threw up... It was a surreal moment.
Lol
I would literally being crying if I saw him play this song live I love him smmm

I truly never thought I would watch concert videos, and now we're a year into a pandemic and I'm SOBBING. Thank you for this little piece of history.
3 years later and still waiting for them to tour the uk… they’ve not come here since 2016 :/

and only sings (ruins) "haaAAAAAAAAaaAAAAAAAAAaaaAaaaaa" - which is the best part
