To add to the steel plate body question, my father is a medieval armourer, and as I've watched him over the years as I've grown up, I've learnt a few things. 1) steel plate bodies, if you're wearing one, they generally wear chain armour underneath that, and then underneath it was something called a gambeson or arming coat. 2) In the game, I like to think that you dedicate 3 of your steel bars to making the chain body and use the rest to make the plate. 3) Depending on where you're from or what type you're making, there were 10 to 52 leather straps to keep the body armour together, which is about 1 kg of weight. I like to think that extra weight is the leather straps and the arming coat. (note edit for grammar and spelling mistakes)
RIGHT! Love when this stuff happens in games whether intended or not, like how Cyrodiil from the elder scrolls is just the word clitoris played in reverse XD
The only problem is that it doesn't really say fuck buddy/fwb. The words on their own are correct, vän means friend, ligga is slang for fucking (it literally means lie down). The way we would say knullkompis/kk, to me "vänligga" sounds more like the activity if you and a good friend would sleep together, but it isn't really a word. It's still fun as a pun though, I for sure thought it was a naughty name the first time I saw it.
I thought it was just Vanliga instead of Vanligga. Like just the word "ordinary" rather than "used to" and "laying down" stitched together. Since it's an a and not an ä
The steel plate body has 2 explanations for weighing more. 1. Jagex just doesn't put much thought into what items weigh. 2. My head cannon, when making plate armour you need all kinds of straps and padding to hold the armour together and make it reasonably comfortable to wear.
Nah, the floor is just covered in a layer of clothing from all the bots that get banned. The character itself gets removed, and like in an oldschool horror movie, the clothes just fall to the floor and get trampled down over time
The platebodies gaining you extra total weight is actually a pretty impressive detail to include. In my forge-smith days in the late 1970s we had to calculate in this in our large batches because of the deviation would result in lost profits. Today most don't know about this since technologu has moved on. Essentially what happens is that some of the hot air that would rise from the forge get trapped and banged into the metal as we hit it with a power hammer. The air diffuses into the steel as micro bubbles, which weaken the structural integrity of the metal. Most would assume this air cools down and do little harm, partly true, but since the compressed, trapped air rapidly dissipates its heat into the steel, it leaves the air bubbles in a semi-superheated aggregate which makes it keep the upward buoyancy of the heat. The effect is called "reverse Bernoulli gas fusion" and is until recent years believed to have been a myth. Essentially what this means is that thick material (like bars) have enough trapped air, therein upwards buoyancy, that the resultant force of the gravity pull of the steel is reduced! So if you put the steel on a scale it reads lighter than the actual material, that is. Working material thinner with high impact, like making a platebody, reduces the amount of gas fusion. Then the material when put on a scale more closely resembles its actual weight. Aslo I'm born in 1997 :P :P
@@lunitarosrs thank you. I'm actually very impressed by my creativity right here. Biggest horseshit I've ever taken. Only the last line is true hahahah
When running back to the bank from teleporting with the lyre, you should sell all of your warhammers (or at least, some) to the warhammer store in Relekka. It gives more money per warhammer than the alch value, but only when it's not too full. So, instead of having to hop a bunch when selling the loot all in one go, you could just sell it on the way back to the bank, to save yourself from having to hop a lot.
How exciting, loving this series. Would be awesome if Jagex somehow gave u bot banning capabilities for this chunk haha.😊 Probably worth updating thumbnail with the series number if you haven't already.
for the bot competition, would you be able to sell the vendor ore on a main account and purchase the stock (whatever the base limit is since ironman) on your one chunk account? its a little weird and murky in terms of being in the spirit of the challenge, just bots seem like a failure on jagex's end rather than the chunk if that makes sense
Extra weight will come from things like the leather straps, the fittings like rivets etc. Is odd it's not a required material to craft it, like let's say 1 soft leather and 1 bronze bar per body but also glad it doesn't need it
for the bar/plate body weight - i like to imagine run-weight as 'the effective weight of what you're carrying'. plate bodies are bigger and carry in your bad further away from your centre of gravity?
i really feel for you and other chunkers when you get death chunks like this. Cause it's not just that you have to do this grind for hundreds of hours, but you're stuck without as easy to use of footage for videos. These chunks don't just take a while, they literally get in the way of some peoples' livelihoods. Sometimes I wish I could convince you guys to cheat and skip the grinds, or maybe just postpone grinds/do them gradually over time to keep the variety of content up? I know that's against the spirit of the whole thing though. You keep doing what makes you happy, and we'll watch whatever you do in the meantime
the jagex that released this area was the original jagex they had some clever jokes hidden in most of the quest even with their heavy censoring of the chat
Casually spoiling my next episode smh >_> ;p Also, you can't get lamps from beekeeper, everyone got Mandela-effected on that one apparently. Good luck with smithing!
On buying ore could always do what caniff chunk did and have a main sell ore to the shop so you can buy it as long as you dont sell more than shop max at a time tou can buy it since the bots are making it hard no reason to add so much time just to fight bots
With regards to weight increase, I'm not a metal worker, but I do know you use leather to make straps to hold the armor to your body, so my headcanon is that you steal some nearby leather and that's why the weight goes up
"urda" is a type of cheese in eastern europe, but everything else in this region references norse and scandinavian stuff, so "cheese" is not correct. Urda is a name. "Urd" was a goddess of destiny, and "urd" means destiny. The name Urda comes from Urd
It's sucks that the place is so botted. I have no clue why that would be. It has nothing to do with players buying gold from goldfarmers, that's irrelevant, Jagex's fault
They are wearing cheap non-bland items so people don't give them a second glance as they kinda fit in an odd way, if they are unequipped with gear then people think it's a bot.
It is of course up to you at the end of the day, but maybe padding out the video with like 4+ alch value checks of the exact same items, just larger piles of them feels a bit dry to watch. After the first time you showed the loot in the bank, just showing the results after your decided to stop would be fine i feel. I love having longer videos, but at the same time, showing the value of your pile of rune kiteshields, addy full helms, granite shields, etc. multiple times through the video didnt feel like it added anything interesting to the video. I enjoy when you go on tangents about small details you found or a random items drop rate, or show a funny clip of you getting bonked not praying trying to pick up an item, as those are all a little different each time, but i think the video would honestly be stronger if a few minutes were cut to not be almost the same clip multiple times.

Damn, your dad could make millions with their anti-aging strategy if they're still going strong all the way from the middle ages.
The translator needs a raise.

I suppose that is true lmao
The cat named after Raven is probably a reference to mod Raven, who did a lot of the lore stuff back in the day.
Great info, thank you!
Maybe also a play on John uskglass, the Raven king?

1. Jagex just doesn't put much thought into what items weigh.
2. My head cannon, when making plate armour you need all kinds of straps and padding to hold the armour together and make it reasonably comfortable to wear.
The straps do make sense, remake steel platebody to require 5 steel bars and 1 soft leather Jamflex pleae
Nah, the floor is just covered in a layer of clothing from all the bots that get banned. The character itself gets removed, and like in an oldschool horror movie, the clothes just fall to the floor and get trampled down over time
Gah, I posted basically the same comment just now lmao
3. The mechanical energy from the hammer transforms to mass in the platebody, E = mc^2 and E = 1/2m_(hammer)v^2. Just calculate for m for the result!
100% straps and padding. No one would wear plate without them. Plus, jagex doesn't care about those extra materials.
Just wanted to let you know, Skulgrimen's Battle Gear will buy those Rune Warhammers for like 4k above alch price.
Love the editing and commentary style, excited to watch this one

Lmaoooo got me good there!
When there's a system update, it restocks all the shops on all the worlds. You should go buy as much ore as you can whenever there is an update.
Always great when the Rellekka brother posts!
When running back to the bank from teleporting with the lyre, you should sell all of your warhammers (or at least, some) to the warhammer store in Relekka. Maybe you can try to play around updates when all the bots are kicked off the game for a while? Then buy a big load of ores
I would love to know how the song at 1:30 is called. Searched for half an hour OSRSBeatz and couldnt find it please help me find this banger
It’s ”Etceteria”, on the normal OSRS soundtrack, and it plays on (you guessed it) Etceteria :)

And a lot of ozher onechunks have done this. I believe fray bought fish, limp sold his runes for more gp
Finally caught up. Binged the whole series in 2 days. Great stufff
The extra weight comes from the box of infinite leather straps and padding that is next to each anvil but can never be seen
Was just saying in Happery's stream last night that I had been waiting for your next vid 🙌 keep up the good work ❤
Thank you sir! Sorry to keep y’all waiting haha

Might be worth it to get the infinite charges Lyre? If you can get one that is.
Would be nice for sure! Unfortunately it needs Manta rays and Sea turtles as well to charge up.
@@lunitarosrs Ah, so it does. My bad
Can Beekeeper randoms give lamps?

Correct me if I’m wrong don’t Ironman and non iron have different stores? So the bots buying stuff wouldn’t deplete your stocks.
Some old shops aren't updated, and some botters use Ironmen
Fremenik Trials is impossible for Settled tho lol
Oh damn, good point
You should turn on agression timer and agro lines, will make the troll grind much easier
I like the cleaner more old school look tbh, but thanks for the tip!
Jatizso really is Gielinors Kouvola.
It truly is, although less gray.
Well, we now understand why this episode took so long lmao
We love to see the man mining
Are you not able to get the unlimited teleport for like 1k sharks?
Unfortunately it also needs 1k mantas and 1k sea turtles, so no 😕

just fyi but beekeeper event does not drop a lamp. if you have the full outfit, its flax or like 12 coins or something. its completely unworth doing.

So sorry about that lol! Eager to see the video about it 😎
A possible solution for the botting issue could maybe be using PvP worlds, dunno if anyone mentioned that or if it's been tried yet.
I completely forgot they added a shortcut to DKs.. rip
