As a blue belt, I can tell y'all everyone was being nice, especially purple and up.
purple went for style points with the belt choke lmao
everyone was going a bit easy on them cuz it would be humiliating otherwise
yea man that black belt would get them all in like 10 seconds if he tried
@@bigplaya0682 like they gon be dead if they were tryna get them
@@bigplaya0682 with that lack of footwork and manipulation they'd be on the ground in less and in a choke or lock in less than 5

Note: we also need to remember that the belt is subjective, its a reward for how much progress a person has, but some white belts with a lot of advantage like size difference can beat a blue belt, it just means the blue belt has become a better fighter than they were when they joined. Although of course a black belt will very likely beat any untrained whitebelt regardless of size difference almost every time, even purple belts, at least in my experience, can beat pretty much any untrained person regardless of if they are tired, have a size/strenght handicap or even have an injury.
So for example the girl has a different kind of game because she is lighter, she uses leverage and agility, meanwhile the dad could just use his bodywheight and strenght to overpower the guys, and did classic big guy things like the americana.
It's more so about learning skills than being able to beat someone.
Agreed, you see she was the only one who played from her guard - comes from experience in that position. White belt Dad had a lot of strength and stature and enough confidence in submissions not to do so.
great way to explain belts to non BJJ practitioners! people always think that belts are like ranks but it's really a measure of your own personal progress, even tho Gracie does have an outline of what does belts are supposed to mean, if you're at a good gym, it's more of a measure of how much you've progressed, not necessarily how good you are against other people.
@@seanpe8474 exactly, if a blue belt loses to a guy 2x their size… now imagine if they were a white belt… that’s how I see it. If you are smaller and all you have is wrestling style grappling you’re done, bjj gives you a set of tools, the better you are at them the more chances you have of winning against a larger opponent.
Of course this goes out the window if you’re equally strong or even more so, then it’s like the father who just smashes people, but funnily enough it’s always the lower belts who smash people, higher belts embrace the gentleness of jiu jitsu and feel like they are dancing or flowing effortlessly unless they have to apply strength against someone who does so
Ehhh not all gyms are that way. If you are getting your butt handed to you by white belts, most gyms won't promote you.
My gym has only promoted anyone after they've won competitions at their belt rank.
The belt is as good as the person who wears it
this was hilarious
bro is clearly clout sailing ong

Biggest mistake for newcomers: never underestimate your female colleagues. They usually have more flexibility and will take advantage of your hesitation. Go at them the same as your male friends.
even if you have more muscles it doesn’t really matter if your female colleagues have experience and technique
the white belt did better then the female blue belt but ok. newcomers will lose but id bet the first guy beats that girl in rolling
@@nightmare7067no shit, he's been a white belt for 1.5 years and is like double her size
@@nightmare7067 He submitted them faster because of his size and strength. If they fought one on one, I'd say they're probably going to be equal, but their tactics will be different.
@@djangoscott-cowling9950 1.5 years makes dad almost a blue belt.
Props to this guys. It's a humbling experience live rolling with jiu jitsu players. The amount of safety that was taken into account says a lot about the gym they went to
Except for the leg locks the black belt did.
@@dang1953 the straight ankle lock is the first leg attack we learn as a white belt, no way the sensei put too much pressure in either case.

Ginani actually losing against his dad didn’t really surprise me.
Gianni always loses tbh
As a 16 years old green belt in Jiujitsu this video made me laugh so hard lmao I love how they're all standing up reading to beat their ass but as soon as one adult approaches them they back up instantly 😂😂😂
But in all seriousness though ya'll did a great job, now do Judo next 😅😂
There's such a thing as green belts in BJJ? Only ever saw white, blue, purple, brown and black belts (with stripes).
@@donchimet nope, there are! Minors have different colors for some belts. Since I'm 16 I still have my greenbelt but I'm supposed to change it for blue now because I'm old enough. It's like for younger kids, you see them start with a white belt but as they progress they'll end up having a gray bar on their belt. It should be similar in most countries, I practiced Jiujitsu in Canada and in the USA
Alright, keep pumping that iron chief.

Good on you guys for taking on that gauntlet, hope it inspires you to pursue it full time! Especially having your dad as a role model!
I’ve never seen your channel before. I practice jiu jitsu. Props for putting yourselves out there, that’s the first step. Hope you keep training :)
the reson why the white belt did so much better than the others is bc he was treating this like he was fighting 5 weebs just trying to sub them fast were as the other one (besides the black belt) were treating this like a actual roll
Although this is correct to a certain extent, it’s also because Giannis dad is not a normal white belt. He’s a power lifter, a brown belt in Akiro, and has also been training Jiu Jitsu for 1.5 years🤣
@@TheAnimeMen but you can also see by the way he just kinda goes for stuff where as the other the other guys try to set stuff up but your dad is definitely due for a blue belt soon
That white belt definetly close to his blue belt ❤
Good on you 'AnimeMen' for giving it a good go against these Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) practitioners. You all did quite well, and you were all good sports about the challenge. It looks like everyone involved had fun.
I love this. Man BJJ is my life, it truly is the most humbling thing I've ever done. YOOOO Joao is the BB!!! Captain is his Dad. I miss training with those guys!! I also love anime hahahaaha. You got a sub from me.
Im only a white belt with about 7 months of twice a week experience so take what i say with a grain of salt.
A couple things I noticed was that Gianni's Dad having 1.5 years experience should make him borderline blue belt. So i wasn't too surprised to see he tapped the guys faster than the blue belt after him. (Obviously him being bigger and stronger allowed him to take shortcuts as well)
Also the biggest difference i saw in between the black belt and the belts below him was that the black belt had flawless balance and technique. His movements were not as fast as the purple's for example, but the moves he chose almost looked staged because of how effortlessly he made it look. He also transitioned from one move to counters in such a fluid way that it seemed more like a fluid true combo than just isolated movements/ attacks.
I enjoyed the video.
Good on the dude with the shoulder injury. Just being super sensible and tapping early in a high stress environment. You got the clarity of mind to be really good at this!
I've been doing BJJ for about six months now, and even at my inexperienced level its clear how powerful bjj is against literally anyone who doesn't know martial arts. I live in a area full of people who do practice martial arts and love to spar. Even with my limited knowledge of BJJ I was able to submit a wrestler and a couple people who know Taekwondo. Super rewarding, I recommend you commit to it :D
whats the point of bjj no offense but usually arts follow a certain rule e.g boxing punch judo wrestling taekwando kicking street fighting hitting someone with a trash can etc
So basically BJJ is a grappling sport, like judo (They are actually cousins/brothers) but you also have submissions (Chokes and joint locks) Grappling sports generally focus on takedowns & groundfighting, while striking sports focus on punches, kicks, ect.
Boxing & Taekwondo are striking, while Judo and BJJ are grappling, although Judo focuses on takedowns, throws, and slams more than submissions. BJJ is good against everything because you can pair it with the (objectivly) best striking sport Muay Thai and have groundwork & striking skills, but even with just BJJ you can kill any streetfighter. Although if you wanna be a MMA or streetfighter you need striking skills, grappling is way more important, because if you know a takedown you can throw some kid onto the asphalt easy and knock em out, or even do standing submissions, as if you start to grapple most people don't know how to respond, and BJJ blocks against tackles at the white belt level lol
@@Somewaffle0 i thought so, cus usually i hear judo and bjj being similar in their objective as they are both defensive, just that bjj allows you to mix it with other stuff
Same. People always trash on BJJ but with 2 years I was able to take down and submit wrestlers with more experience
@@thebignachoi nevrr seen anybody shit on bjj, at least peole who know even a fraction on martial arts know bjj is very good
One tip for newbs in bjj, if you are in fights with less strong people, ex females or smaller men, just do the turtle. No I mean literally turn around face the ground put your chin as close to your chest and get your hands inside and stay like this. They will be trying to either get your limbs or your throat open but it will be very difficult for them since you overpower them from a position where leverage is hard to acquire. Then wait for the round to end. Good luck :)
Terrible advice, in a tournament you will lose on points if you just turtle and wait for the round to end
@@Eganja. that’s not for tournament. That’s for newbies on their first week getting trolled by experts 😂like in the video
@@Altair11125 nah I wouldn't do that cuz it ends up just not being fun and you don't really learn anything or get better

OK, I’ve said this before but seeing you guys bring up jujutsu makes me so happy because I feel it is the most underrated martial arts and it’s just fun to see it in videos
“I’m just grabbing random stuff” Ayo💀💀💀
The blue belt is excellent. She really has great guard retention and guard pulling. I’m gonna steal some of her moves. And I’m a black belt in jujitsu. Excellent job. I like how you guys showcased all of the different types of belts. Really impressive video.
2:57 for a second he realised "IM A MAN " then fucked up
2:11 Pretty incredible to get tapped out by a caffeinated beverage.
jiujitsu with the squad 🔥
as a man of jiu jitsu i can confirm that they had no chance of winning
Content like this is fire
It was funny to watch as a wrestler who started out BJJ a few months ago. BJJ definitely has that style factor.
Keep going bromegos youll become the anime boss that can't be beat.
I’ve been training BJJ 2 years and hearing open guard with spider grips called a “weird guard thingy” is the funniest shit I’ve heard in my life
Good job guys keep working hard
Ossssss! Great video!
Keep these martial art series up I was sad when I noticed this wasn't wats all your content is about
2:12 man got submitted by a coffee
This gym must also teach quite a bit of judo judging by the way these guys do throws and sweeps.
Absolutely. They do far more than just guard pulling on each other like so many bjj gyms do
Thank god. I'm lucky I found an old school place that teaches judo and wrestling unlike a lot of schools
@eulogioalbertorobles4133 the bluebell did nothing but pull guard
@@ElNiNjA246 Yes and no. Judging by her foot placement, it looks to me like she was attempting to do Tomoe Nage throws.
@trapperscout2046 nope that's what you're taught to do when learning pull guard as well. Tomoe nage is pretty much the same footplacement though except you launch them 😆

The narration killed me through out the whole video 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That blue belt straight pulling guard on all them dudes
Great content 🤣
they were pretty lucky, many weebs will never have a woman touch them like that
THIS IS HILARIOUS FOR SOMEONE WHO BEEN DOING JUI JISTU FOR 5 YEARS 😂
Brown belt went like:DISRESPECT MY HAIR I DISRESPECT YOU
As someone who does BJJ, don't go super low it's easy to get caught in the gilotine, wait for them to make the move.
I had some Judo experience before trying BJJ. Tawara Gaeshi was my go-to throw on guys with low stances and I've also used it as a double leg counter. I've had moderate success with it.
9 times out of 10, these kids were just tapping to pressure.
I've been training jiu-jitsu for five years now and this was genuinely comical to watch these guys do Muay Thai next
Next y’all need to go up against the kid belts
21 yr old brown belt here, always happy to see the anime world and jiu jitsu world collide being thats what got me into bjj
With every belt up, they became finer pretzels.
The blue belt was crazy
Against someone new, pulling guard and immediately shooting for a triangle choke will end >90% of matches in under 10 seconds
Training 10 years , if someone is that easy for me to submit, I don’t see the point, I just try and work with them and pass some knowledge on
"i farted" got me dying lol
You could for sure see the kindness in the brown/black belts on the throws. I’ve been thrown by black belts. It’s very quick, and it never feels good 😂.
CONGRATULATIONS ON 1M!!!!
As a 11 year old Grey belt this is very good information for me to study to become better in Jujistu.
I'm an orange belt in jiu jitsu and this was pretty fun to watch tbh 🤭
my main tips if you have no experience would be to
1) not "tie up" like you're a pro-wrestler, don't let them touch you to control you
2) think about what you're doing BEFORE you make contact rather than latching into them and desperately thinking the whole time
3) think about your weight and leverage. trying to muscle through every move will just deplete your strength. that's why these dudes are just hanging off eachother half the time
New Challenge get all the boys in the journey to blue belt
They brought Walter White for brown belt and thought we wouldn't notice.
I love the club panguin 😂
You shoulda used the "Ive got the power of anime on my side" line.

Yo should start training in bjj and, in a few months, make a comparison with this video. As someone who is a white belt with 10 months of training I can garantee you that within three months your performance will look DRASTICALLY different to this.
as a blue belt i had a ton of fun watching this the white belt in my opinon is bordering on blue he's pretty good has a great sense of blance and control over peak anime video get more people

Jujutsu, also known as jiu-jitsu and ju-jitsu, is a family of Japanese martial arts and a system of close combat (unarmed or with a minor weapon) that can be used in a defensive or offensive manner to kill or subdue one or more weaponless or armed and armored opponents.
Jiu-jitsu dates back to the 1530s and was coined by Hisamori Tenenouchi when he officially established the first jiu-jitsu school in Japan.
This form of martial arts uses few or no weapons at all and includes strikes, throws, holds, and paralyzing attacks against the enemy.
Jujutsu developed from the warrior class around the 17th century in Japan.
It was designed to supplement the swordsmanship of a warrior during combat.
A subset of techniques from certain styles of jujutsu were used to develop many modern martial arts and combat sports, such as judo, aikido, sambo, ARB, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and mixed martial arts.
The history of the art during this time is uncertain because teachers kept everything secret to give their art a feeling of importance - and then would change the stories of their art to suit their own needs.
“I have no enemies.” 😂
I think the blue belt was trying to style with a helicopter armbar from the start.
