Late to the party, but I have to add this. Being labeled as "independent contractors", WWE has no obligations with health insurance or other employee benefits. Guys like Nakamura have to pay out of their own wallets in order to travel around, not to mention other expenses involved (food, rent, clothes, medical bills if any, and so on). WWE makes it seem that Superstars are living a glamorous life, and some do (ahem, John Cena), but for most talent, they have to manage their finances properly, cause anything that disrupts their routine can screw everything up for them.
The US is so huge, and also it doesn't help that the culture is so car centric so the distance has to sound insane for someone not from here. I personally wish we had better countrywide transportation other than highways, but at this point changing it would cost so much money.
