The "He is Ollie, you are Sven" greeting is a reference to "The Flintstones" episode "Swedish Visitors", where a Swedish rock band rents the house and the bassist introduces himself as Ollie ErRocksen and is corrected by the band leader by saying "No, he is Ollie! You are Sven!", but Sven just repeats the statement. 2. This was the first episode that was finished by Games Animation after Spümcø's termination from the series. Games Animation made the intro/title card and added the music into the episode. John Kricfalusi has gone on record that he hated the title sequence and the soundtrack provided for the episode, but Bob Camp mixed another cut of the episode with different music cues and quieter sound effects. This cut would eventually be used for all subsequent reruns and is accessible on the Time-Life DVD release of the show, albeit censored. However, the 1st and 2nd season DVD set, although uncut, still has the original audio mix from the initial broadcast because John K. screwed up with the DVD re-release.
The scene where Ren is threatening both Sven and Stimpy, by telling them he will gouge their eyes out was a deleted scene witch is why the time code is there
Why was this episode so much better animated then all the past and future ones besides a couple? Also I'm sad they never used Sven after this episode, he's such a great character. The only time they mention him past this episode is in a Christmas song.
The co-founder of Carbunkler, Bob Jaques, was an old college friend of Kricfalusi's. The other co-founder was Jaques' wife Kelly Armstrong. They said they quit the show both to get out of controversy and out of respect for Kricfalusi.
I love how they used the freakin Alfred Hitchcock Presents theme in the beginning lol. Also this ep just shows how awesome Billy West is at doing maniacal laughter. 😊 Also may I just say, the loyal order of stupids sounds like the PERFECT name for a Ren and Stimpy discord server lol.
My favorite episode of the show, and probably of any show... the funniest cartoon I have ever seen. This actually changed my life when I watched it back in the early 90s.
The part where Stimpy gets kicked in the head by a horse. Is due to one of John K fellow producers had a brother kicked in the head by a horse himself or so they said on the DVD set commentary.
This episode is really funny no matter how you slice it, but it reaches comedy gold for me due to a personal story. My grandparents hail from Sweden, & my Great-Grandpa's name was Sven Winstrom. Occasionally, We still get junk mail addressed to him, & I always chuckle when that happens, as running through my head in that moment is "Dahhh He is Holek, You are Sven!". Cracks me up every time!

I believe the 2nd was in Marooned, which is when Ren says "We're marooned!", and Stimpy replies "Just like the title of this cartoon!"

ren and stimpy was a lot more disturbing than I remembered probably because at the time I watched the show I was like 6 years old
