The issues were pretty clear cut. The coach wasn’t getting thru to the players so he was the scapegoat, then the players were under achieving and Sweeney was clear that it’s on the players now and that falls to Sweeney’s watch. The players are on notice now, and Sweeney is watching 🐻
Mixed bag. Craig Berube recently stepped up and said he felt a need to speak up for Monty as he served with him in STL; was an excellent coach for 2 years there. That's a fine endorsement. Monty has a great record in BOS. Of course, he was handed a team that almost coached itself, as he is on record for saying. Some say he blew that one; got out-coached by FLA. Perhaps, the sheer number (65%) of quality goal-tending stats set the table for a second winning season? Some say this is where Monty lost the team...against FLA. I all but fell out of my chair when Monty claimed the refs do an excellent job...as if to get the team on track to avoid losing to FLA 2 years in a row. But that was after one of those team things where...there's still unfinished business. The captain was physically beaten out of the game and ...the refs did not even do a decent job. We got the evidence but...nothing to see here people. When have things been OK since then?
The league's biggest defense is leaving the league's biggest gaps that are getting exploited big time. Playing like the league's biggest defense does not imply penalties, not if they are playing the game as it should be. And bigger does not imply slower, as surely as skating speed is not congruent with hockey speed. The ideal of installing a bigger team that is not slow is still on the table for those who can collaborate to the extent that the good hockey speed can play out. Regardless, the league's biggest defense should leave the league's smallest gaps! 🤔
@@curiousbrowza My take on the Bruins are too slow is this: when you are new, when you don't have a lot of confidence, when you are thinking too much, of course you are going to be slow! Constantly shuffling the lines and D pairs didn't help either.
I think the Bruins lost a lot over the past five years and each time we lose one of those key players we never replace them with the same caliber player. The team just lacks talent. It’s pretty disappointing.
Quenneville would be good, but with the controversy around him and after the whole Miller fiasco for the Bruins, I doubt they hire him. McLellan I don't feel is good as head coach, assistant would be fine. My top choices would be Dale Hunter and Gerard Gallant.
Marchand 4 shots on goal McDavid 24 min TOI. Very nice joe haggerty

Enough with the gambling ads. Are you going to hook people up with their local drug dealer next?

Haggs saying it like it is. Montgomery wildly overrated. 😂

Swayman needs to stop worrying about getting a degree in business and focus on getting a degree in stopping pucks

Monty lost 6 straight home playoff games to FLA. That in itself should be the end of Montgomery. He was a playoff misery.
