I like a lot your MD" videos, it will make it easier for newcomers if you organized your videos by playlists. That way if someone comes looking for something in particular, they don't have to search for it individually. Great content
I do have a Massive Darkness Showcase Playlist. Just click on my Playlists tab and search for Massive Darkness. I believe there is approximately 16 videos in there currently.
I tried monk and personally it felt somewhat underwhelming to me. I would like to hear your general thoughts on how good you think each class is (tier list?). Another content ideas: review MD1 characters, best characters/class to play in campaign.
I didn’t catch it - can you give the tokens to other heros at anytime? Or is it something that has to be determined up from that someone else is getting it and they use when necessary? Or did I just completely make up that other hero’s can get tokens?
The card/action will say something like "give any hero an "x" token". In most cases you can give a token to any hero, including yourself. If the token can only be claimed by you, it will be stated on the card.
Hi sorry I was wondering if you could answer a couple questions regarding the monk. When you play the Chakra card - Guidance - Shadow 1) does that zone follow you around the board as you move or is it deployed where you start? 2) does it make is such that a light area is treated as both a light and shadow zone? 3)any ability that says “hero’s in your zone gain x token”, does that include yourself? 4) the chakra card that provides magic points can these be pulled from across the board or only for hero’s in your zone.
Hi there, to the best of my knowledge, 1. No, the zone stays put. 2. It treats it as a light zone only. 3. You are included in that bonus 4. I'm honestly not sure.
@@TheMeepleMarathon no, you’ve been a great help. My club as recently started on a campaign and I’ve looked all over for an answer to these questions lol as every person in my group had their own opinions. With you having an extensive library of reviews of the games etc. I thought why not ask some one with first hand experience and knowledge.
Played the monk yesterday and tried the martial artist skill. I was really confused as the single yellow die +1 sword doesnt not really compete with any of the weapons I would find or even the starting equipment. By the time I can upgrade the skill, to improve the damage, the kind of weapons I have found by then still far outclass the skill in damage and extra utility which you completely lose out on. What am I doing wrong? Am I reading the skill wrong? Are there more dice I should roll than what is on the skill card? It just seems like nerfing your self to me.
You pick it to accelerate the game. You still get starting weapon, you no longer need to attack with. You pass it to one of your allies, so they can dual wield. So the yellow die is preserved and you yourself generate 1 yellow die +1 sword per attack. That sword is really nice as it is free and guaranteed. So you increased your team potential max damage output by 3-9. Even more if you take Chakra into consideration (+4-12 for 3 mana). There are also dual wielding specialist heroes that will be really thankful as finding 2 weapons of the same type is really tricky.
Thanks for doing this series Looking forward towards more content.

@@TheMeepleMarathon Guess I'm dumb. I'd look for it and didn't find it initially but now I see it. Lol.
Great series, thank you for all this info!
Thanks for sharing. I agree, it has a Gloomhaven vibe.
All of these videos have been awesome!! After the 3D piece videos you should make a video explaining campaign mode and how the town dashboard works!
I'm going to do a playthrough of a standard game first and then begin to cover the Heavenfall box.
Great work.

I know it is late but I'm finishing doing MD2 heroes within class tierlists on boardgameGeek Massive Darkness 2 subforum.

One mistake you made with Riya was that during combat she re-rolls a monster die, not any die.
