These are useful tips. Thank you! I am currently working on Strangerville in my own save file. I created a former mayor who is the opposite to Ted Ross well in any way. They are arguing constantly and it brings a nice dynamic to this little town. Their children though, which I added are deeply in love. It gives me a kinf of Romeo and Juliette vibe. ☺️
I've started to rebuild worlds in a save, and am really enjoying doing that. What I don't understand, is how I can use that redo in future games I start. I start new saves almost weekly, and would really like to re-use what I'm working on. That part I can't find the answer for. I know how to redo, but I don't know how to make it used in more than the one save file I'm playing a family on. It seems like too much work to only be able to play on with one save. Do I need to just stop aging on households I'm not currently playing, and use add household when I want to start a new game? That sounds... confusing, when I have 20 different challenges running :P
Instead of starting with a brand new game, load the save file you’re working on. Then instead of saving regularly, use “save as” and change the name to whatever you want it to be, like Not So Berry Challenge. That way, you’ll have both the original save and the new challenge save. Then, you can play the challenge in that save file you’ve done all the work in, but can still use the original save as the jumping off point for challenges and such by loading it up and using “save as” again. Hope that makes sense!
@@WitchlingSimmer That makes total sense! I've never even really noticed the save as option. Or if I saw it, I didn't think it would be a separate save. Like it would just rename it and be the same save file. Thank you!!!!!
@@WitchlingSimmer could you maybe make a quick tutorial?? like on Instagram or RUclips reels? Because I'm having trouble and I'm a visual learner so it's a little hard to comprehend what I need to do
If you click “load” when the game first launches, you can give your save file a unique name, and can scroll through different saved games there to find it as you add to it over time.
Thank You My Fellow Definitely Human From Planet Earth In Solar System Milky Way. I Am Typing Normal Is Typing In Caps Every Word Not Normal? I Am Human Too Of Course. joke aside thanks :D
This like the 3rd video I watch about how to create a save file and no not a single one said what it is and how to do it. All these videos are telling "you can edit your sims" 😂
A save file is pretty basic computer knowledge, so I imagine most people creating videos assume an understanding in their audience of what a save file is. Google might be more helpful if you don’t understand the term or how to use the save as function…?

That sounds great! I’ve always been tempted to do something like that, and have different clubs for different political groups in town.
@@WitchlingSimmer That is a great idea! ❤️
Now I want to create an entire custom save. What have you done lol. Your voice is so calming btw 🙈 thanks for the idea’
Glad you liked it! Having a custom save makes the game so much more fun!

I want to create a base save game that i can use and save with different stories and main sims while keeping the original, Can I save them separately?
Yes, just use the “Save As” function instead of the save function. 😊
@@WitchlingSimmer thank you, I figured it out :)

Wait so how do I find the new save in my saved folder as I update it over time?
