I like it man! You did a great job. Sometimes the delay made it hard to hear the reverb, but wasn’t a huge issue. Cool to see your first go at it. Keep it up
@@loveisrealdudes that was intentional. I’m willing to bet most people getting this will use it delay. I also made sure to give you a bit of R1 itself before hand tho too.
Well I’m convinced!!! I wanted a reverb pedal that didn’t occupied a lot of space in my pedalboard and that it sounded good. This is it, great sound, big ambient sounds and the ability to sustain a chord like a pad!!! Come on what else you want? Thank you guys for a good demo from a worship guitarist point of view!!!!
It's cool to see you guys review a regular guitar pedal again. This one is very interesting. Sounds amazing and has great features, but it's priced within $50 of a used Big Sky.
Well comparing the new price of an item and the used price of another isn’t a fair comparison 😂 I get what you’re saying tho. Up to the consumer either way :)
@@bmitchellmusic that's true, it isn't a fair comparison. I was just coming from the mindset of if I wanted to make a purchase today, what are my options at that price point. Great job on the video btw, I'm sure that took a ton of time and effort to create
Just sold my BigSky and am downsizing to one of these babies. It was a hard choice, the BigSky is probably the best reverb pedal ever, but I just wasn’t using near enough of the features to justify it, especially when this can get the job done for about half the price and size.
How do you like the R1? I just picked one up was hooked. I try to justify keeping my flint on the board with it but the R1 covers so much ground it’s unreal
A lot of demos of this pedal just aren't doing it justice it's weird, people are skipping features and just using very short decay times ... not showing how you can adjust the stereo image of the reverbs, basically not showing what this thing can do and this demo shows how nice this Reverb can be
Hey great video. It sold it for me. But I need a little help. I am having trouble setting modulation. It’s little bit crazy sometimes. I like what you did with the BFR. What are your settings for mod there? Thanks
Can you provide the settings you used for each algorithm? Difficult to tell from the video what the knob positions are for each setting. Even just for Hall, BFR, and Air if you don't have them all written down.
Good job. Gets to that ethereal place like the slo and slötvä or whatever umlaut latte spelling. Def digging Mako R1 and Starlight by UA. Stereo is where its at.
@@bmitchellmusic hey bro! Just saw this comment. What was the issue you were having with the ACS1? I’m pretty sure I have a weird situation going on where I’m unable to put different amps left and right. It’s almost as if it only works as one amp or something. Curious if I’m crazy!
And also (last one): this is preferential, but dispersing the talking bits more with the playing bits is nice. That way it is more even out for listening to the audio demo vs listening to specs.
This is cool like the style of the video. Would love to see you guys show off some cheaper guitars with non-top tier pedals. Some of us poor folk cant quite afford some of these eye watering setups lol
sooo, theoretically, you can use the midi to send to say, a 5 switch controller, and save different presets on each bank, and stack the different verbs from this pedal?
Hello... Did you ever play the R1 alone on this video? Or in conjunction with other pedals? Because I never got any of your sounds from my R1 playing it alone on my amp !!! none of the sounds in this video!!! I am beginning to think that there’s something wrong with my pedal or it’s just a piece of worthless steel enclosure. Gotta contact Warlus and see what’s going on. Thank You so much for your effort.
@@bmitchellmusic yep. I was searching the VoodooLabs site last night and found the current doubling cable. I’ll just ditch my LED lights and free up the extra power slot. Verb>LEDs. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks Bradford.
They’re different in a lot of ways. I think where we are at in Reverb pedals is not “does it sound good” but rather, “does it offer a feature(s) I care about?”. All of these units sound great but their functionality and layout are so different that I really think THAT is what makes people choose one over another. There’s no menus or deep diving necessary on this thing to get sounds. Some may loooove that. Some may prefer the screen and size of the BigSky. But in a general sense (which is all I really think one person can offer another because of personal bias) it absolutely hangs and stacks up right along side em. Incredible piece of gear in so many ways.
FIRST. Also, this my FIRST video I shot and edited. Be nice to me but tell me what you think!! :)
Great Job 👏
Make more pedal demos, Bradford. Please and thank you.

Just bought the r1 for 250 can’t wait to try it out
Man, that's worth it for the Refract setting alone, gorgeous!
This is exciting. I bugged the Walrus Audio guys a couple years back to make their reverb stereo.
A loooot of people have. Worth the wait.
Bradford, nice playing, good shots of the gear and nice, clean video. Good job!
Thank you!
"it's delicious, it's lush".... it's de-lushious
Well done.
I have gone through a few reverbs and this is the one that is the most fun and unique! forget if it sounds real or not, it just sounds good

Most def 😎
Dude for your first vid, amazing.
Using a grippy pad or something to keep the pedal still when you touch it might be useful!

I would say no. One algorithm/preset at a time.

Nice!!! What about spillover? If your coming from a a big verb into a small one does it cut abruptly?
It does not! It fades between the 2 sounds very smoothly.
Has anyone played this pedal and the Alexander space force. Which one would you pick in a head to head?
Well time to start selling some other stuff
can you imitate the reverb in song way maker by using this walrus audio R1?
Great job on your first vid! I see it has a USB port. Is that just for firmware updates or does it have an editor too? Thanks!
Haven’t heard anything about an editor.
Good setting for rhythm guitar suggestion?
