I found a kid on animal life in roblox, they joined my rp server and poor child couldnt respond 😭 so i used my name box to chat and they responded back with there name box! It was probably wholesome for them because they could talk!
It would be nice if they added only some sentences you can say to communicate if ur on parental control, since it’s a socializing game and for others to see your chat but some chats would be censored from others due to the parental control.it’s still important for a kid to learn how to communicate

Dude my mom put parental controls on my device (I was secretly watching her cuz I thought she was gonna do something dumb like that) and tried to play skywars, it didn't let me so I checked my settings and put in the "weird numbers" my mom typed. It worked and I'm super glad 😄
unfortunately some parents are so strict they may think this is perfect i think for anyone under the age 4 and under they should have these just bc they may be scared of some games and MOST 4 yearl olds cant type but my cusins mom turned on parental controls after i built them a cafe and she didint get any custemers after that

When roblox removes parental controls the parents would be furious and when roblox keeps parental controls the kids get mad. By far its just the audience’s fault for some dramas

you mneed to type it into the chat to use the emotes, but chat is disabled

One time my parents turned this feature on thinking it would just keep bad people away from me, but as soon as I found out they enabled this feature I had to explain to them that it was GARBAGE.

I literally suffered the same issue as his before ages in games existed (like +9 and +13 and any age update) and like he said,you can’t do ANYTHING, when I thought it’s better now, I saw THAT IT DOESNT LET 9+ GAMES, so it’s technically the same as before, unless the parent allows you to chat or use +9 games

I can’t imagine not being able to join age restricted games. I already get bored on roblox sometimes so if I had a limited amount of games to play, I would probably just quit.
There is this game called sensory room, in that game there is a community board for people who can’t chat, where you can click buttons and they would light up, some of the buttons are “Yes” and “No” and “Please”, making a great way to make friends without chatting.
It was for a while
And also it’s for people who have disorders such as autism so if a child plays Roblox, has autism, and can’t chat, than it’s a good game for them

Parental controls is basically zipping your child's mouth and forcing them to play the worst games on roblox

@@battlecats1337you can ask roblox to remove it, also yes it worked for me because there was still restriction even after my parents took it out from me, but it was settings restriction so that meant that I couldn’t change anything on my settings but I reported the issue and the pin requirement was gone
Nah some non age restricted games are actually really good like tycoon games (the really good developed ones not those trashy copy and pasted ones)

once my account got hacked and i still had access to my account since the person wasn’t able to change my email. problem was that they turned parental controls on and somehow made it so i cant turn it off. i had it on for a week till i had enough and messaged support. then i had to wait a few days till it was turned off.

As someone who played as a guest a lot when they were available (not parental controls but basically the same thing) this brings back a lot of pain and nostalgia
This feature is meant for parents who don't want their kids to talk to strangers online and play games for the older audience I used this for my 5-6 yo brother but he could still see chat

I actually hate that chat feature. Isn't the current filter "good" enough? Don't just zip your child's mouth. That's what causes innapropriate behaviour and uh, crimes later on in life. Children need to socialise to earn good morals

The no chat thing is something that xbox players deal with on a day to day basis. I played Roblox on only xbox for a month straight and ngl- I forgot chat even existed
aha, I had parental controls when I was 5. I'd always make friends. If you're planning to do this again, I recommend playing more role-play games or hangout games, and jump in-front of someone, if they jump back at you, start hanging out! hope this helps. :)
Yeah. I had to survive no chat for almost 3 years until I finally begged my mom far enough to unlock it.
1st: I love ur pfp, 2nd, if your mom ever puts it back on, make an alt and use it to see what people say and talk for your main account. All you need is a 2nd device!

Tip for if you do it again: go in any game you can and friend anyone (best if in adopt me)if they accept tell them that you have parent control and can't see/type in chat and ask if they have any game suggestions that you can play with them in
If you're an Xbox player, you are literally forced to have no chat and there isn't even a way to enable it. But the good thing is parental controls don't exist on Xbox!

My little sister had it on (btw only the chat thing) but we always play together so I can tell others what she’s saying. So if you’re going to do it again maybe do it with a friend you know in real life. But when I wasn’t playing with her, she liked to play, fling things and people. It’s a fun game you should try it.
I had it for one day, (like you) and spent it learning basic hacking and got it back. I wouldn’t be able to play MM2 and Admin owner, my favorite games ever again.
I had to play roblox on my Xbox since 2018. I barely got my first account on a PC in 2021. I couldn’t chat, play age restricted games, Etc.. it was a nightmare and very annoying. So glad I got an account where I can experience all the stuff I’ve missed over the years
not having chat isnt bad at all it helps me from getting distracted so i can actually play the game

I survived on the no-chat and no 13+ game feature for 2 months (This happened when I was 9) and now it finally removed (eventually I figured out how to remove it and my parents forgot bout that)
5:55 Man it has been a long time since I played Adopt Me. There weren't any jobs back then. You could only earn money from paychecks or looking after your kid or pet.
I played Adopt Me when it didn't have pets (basically the Golden Age of adopt me)

As a young beginner, I never had parental controls. 😅 Glad I didn’t cause some of my favorite games are 9 plus! I also love to make new friends!😊😊

Ever since I joined Roblox, I've had to deal with this for a while. No chatting for a whole year wasn't fun, but I still managed to have great fun on Roblox. But anyways I convinced my parents to get the chat back on as I need to learn how to socialize!

I had this for 3 years, that I didn’t even know chat was available at the time.
This is basically being a guest, and if you do this again try tower heroes, it’s hella fun and you barely need any communication. But they recently had a doors crossover, so that MIGHT make it a 9+ game.

Actually for parental controls- you can either play zyleaks mm2 or slouses mm2. That’s what I did when I had that
I had to use parental controls for 365*2 times longer than you becuase my former "parents" thought parental contols would make the game much more fun, im glad i left the house and moved before it got out of hand.
edit: 365*2 = 2 years.

I suffered parental controls for TWO GODDAMN YEARS from my older brother for his own selfish reasons.
When i first started roblox i didn't need parent controls but my mom said i had to only add people i know in real life.
I remember that once my dad blocked all my chats, i already couldn't access the off game one so this was horrible. I couldn't talk to my friends and they always said "what are you saying lol ?" it was for like some months and i can't tell you how much i cried, at this time i loved in a new school and had few friends who ended up writting my name in the school toilets and add some well.. Wordz (like b1tch, slvt etc..) so those persons were mostly my only friends, but guess what now, one of those friends i had (one that didn't write my name in the college toilets..) is now my gf, all i can say is that this was an actual nightmare and I'm so glad i found the person that helped me out, hope everyone find theirs !

I can actually relate to this. A few months ago my account got age restricted, I was confused so I tried to change it but there was a pin. I never remembered a pin so I asked all my family members. None of them set a pin. So I contacted Roblox support and eventually was able to play the games I loved again.
