I felt that Druig was the most compassionate and empathetic of all the Eternals. Even Sersi has a black-and-white view of the world... but Druig felt for even the Deviants, whom he spent millenia hunting and killing. For all his harshness and power, all he is in actuality is a deeply guilty man.
I find it interesting that they *told* us Sersi was the most compassionate towards the humans, but they *showed* us that it was actually Druig. Sersi lived among humans and dated one and all, but Druig was the one visibly grieving the humans lost in countless wars and genocides even 5,000 years later, and holding humans captive because in his misguided perspective as an Eternal he thought he was saving them from pain and fear. He was definitely the most impactful character and I wish he'd had a bigger part in the movie...

Its a more mature film, with some deep topics, questions about morality, value of life, respnsabilities using their powers, with proably the best actings of all MCU movies (everyone was great, but the performances of Barry Keoghan and Angelina Jolie were even better, they were just perfect). They visited different scenarios, times and cultures (London, South America, Mesopotamia, Canary Island, India...), not just New York and USA as EVERY superhero movie. Different characters (asians, indians, hispanics...), new superpowers, new background stories (Eternals, Celestials, Deviants...). But people expected same corny and childish jokes as every other MCU movie, with action all the time, explosions, guns, fast cars and all that. Im not saying the rest of the MCU is bad, they are great and entertaining, I love modt of the movies. But idk, Black Widow or Shang Chi were waaaay worse than Eternals for example, but according to critics and fans, Eternals is one of the worst movies... How is that even possible??? 😂🤦♂️
the way his thought processes are explained in the movie make it so much more powerful. it’s been a while since someone this complex and human was represented in media.

the scene where he was talking calmly and as soon as Ajak said he was upset he lashed out was the best scene imo. Because"upset" doesn't even come close to what he's felt all that time.
one of the most intelligent eternals character. he could stop and develop human mind using his ability. if it happened could we imagine what would we become. our mind would go beyond the infinite.
Reasons why Druig is the best Eternal in MCU : 1) Druig is the first Eternal to realize that they were all pawns of the Celestials . 2) Druig is capable of possessing entire human race and end conflicts but never attempted it knowing that it will destroy their free will . 3) During the final battle, Ikaris first attacks Druig believing him to be the biggest threat against the Celestial Emergence . 4) Ikaris believed to have killed Druig when the latter survived with a scar showing that Druig is much more powerful than other Eternals believe him to be .
As an empath, I really connected with Druig the most out of the Eternals. The scene where Sersi said “they have a consciences. That makes them dangerous.” And his response was “No, Sersi, that makes them us”, was absolutely deep. Druig was the most powerful in my opinion. Not just because of his gift but because of his compassion and understanding of humans. Also his friendship/love interest with Makarri is much more meaningful than Sersi, Ikaris.
You captured his story arc so amazingly in this short edit it's beautiful. The music in the background is also just the icing on the cake man. Gorgeous
He was the best part in that movie. I initially believed he'd be the main antagonist due to his ability to control minds and being the first to leave the group. Surprisingly, he turned out to be the kindest and most thoughtful member of the team. This movie would have been better if it was longer like a show that had each episode take place during a new time period because the Eternals have lived for so long, yet their long and complex history is completely ignored off-camera. They deserved that development.
His scene telling them "do you have any idea what that does to someone after centuries" is the most moving scene in the movie... He not only sees the destruction and genocide, he also feels them unlike the other eternals who has no idea how that feels. He's the only one who's truly suffering in pain while the people around him who doesn't feel the pain tells him to do nothing.. Druig definitely stole the show for me despite the lesser screen time. It made the whole movie more bearable because that one scene cuts real deep.
Wow, I got literal chills watching this. You did such an amazing job editing, love what you did with the sound and really sparse music, it fit the story you were telling so well. The "Please, I know you're better than this" and then cutting to one of the more playful/endearing scenes in the movie with Druig and Makkari was wonderful and heartbreaking at the same time. The quiet, peaceful white scenes you chose with Druig talking about taking over humanity matched so well and were haunting. And then the end!! "Truth will set them free." Literal chills! Thank you so much for doing justice for one of the best characters and actors in Eternals!
1:02 You can tell from his voice how angry and frustrated he is, he could literally take over the world using that power of his, but he choose not to, becuase deep down, he cares for humanity

It's so fascinating and his character is so interesting to me. Also, this edit is my favorite ever. Its amazing and so beautiful. Thanks for making it :]
This was an amazing edit. When he first broke away from the group I thought he was being bratty but by the halfway mark, I realized he was right. I think that shows good character writing. In the end he was right even though he wasn’t the main character. That’s how ensemble casts should function. Each character should add a layer to the story.
As a Mexican seeing Tenochtitlán in the movie was just incredible, when I was taught out history I remember being also saddened by it, the Aztecs didn’t stand a chance and now their sacred lands are falling on themselves (Mexico city is literally sinking) and the beautiful animales that they knew are going extinct. Dunno hit me in the feels
I know that Druig was never a member of the Avengers in the comics but with his power set and a little enhanced martial art training, he could be one of the best Avenger on the new team.
Eternals is one of my favorites Marvel movie, I never understood why it is so overhated 💀 the cinematography, the themes and the characters (and actors) like Druig just made me love this movie so much. I find it hilarious that Barry Keoghan isn't classically trained like Kit Harington, Gemma Chan and Richard Madden are yet he is worlds above them in acting prowess, screen prescence and charisma and how he can have chemistry too.
I find it hilarious that you think that's good acting. It's honestly terrible and looks like the kind of acting you would see on a cheaply-made tv show. Keoghan just doesn't have the range or "acting prowess" to play anything outside of his weird, lovable goofball routine. I'll admit he's good at those.
I love the way this demonstrates how easily Druig could have been portrayed as the villain--but he wasn't. He knows he could stop all conflict, but he knows the cost is too high. Thanos would have called him weak-willed for that. He'd have been wrong. As a side note, thank you for bringing my attention to a little detail at 2:18. The decision to show Sprite in the background as Druig and Makkari share a moment provides an excellent example of blocking as a storytelling tool.
Don’t know about Keoghan as a person. But his performance as Druig is genuinely brilliant and the emotion of his characters beliefs and lines are excellent. Best character in movie tied with Makkari.
Wow, this is such a powerful character study! He's such a fascinating character and you captured all aspects of his arc perfectly! You pay such great attention to detail in the sound and I'm obsessed with how you match similar sounds based on their intensity and the emotion you're trying to convey. Druig can be considered the most human in the eternals group
Yeah, he's the one who stepped away the quickest. Didn't try to control the world, just to help a small community around him. Mind control is always morally questionable, but so is inaction when you could prevent war.
@@Mark-pl3bv yeah. The problem is, for me is the worst power to possibly have. Like, see Sersi or Ikaris or any other Eternal, they can use their powers anytime they want because there isnt any moral behind them, their powers aint bad or good, just neutral, and the morality of their use is just shown by their own purposes. But Druig? It doesnt matter if it is a good or bad purpose, its always morally ambiguous. Like, he has a good purpose about ending wars amd hate and all that, but using hisnpowers for that is just bad. Wouldn't like to be on his shoes really. And i think both Barry and the director have shown perfectly this conflict.
@@Tocunsus yo that is some philosophy shiz now that I think about it, damn
@@Tocunsus very very true, either he use or restrain his power, both made him feel bad. and no one in the eternals seems to understand his conflict esp ajak
All the eternals are so good druig is up there as one of the best of the group
underrated movie
@@shmrnt5996 exttemely underrated movie
@@ArchitGamingAG literally just saw it yesterday and is now a top3 MCU movies for me, just behind Infinity War and Endgame. Dont know why so many bad critics and hate...
@@Tocunsus ikr, for me its no. 1 in mcu. Marvel does something unique, creative and different and critics hate on them. This movie was way ahead of its time
@@ArchitGamingAG yeah!!
Actually he is the strongest. The mind is faster than the hand. They all know it. Thats why they are inhibiting his decisions. Truth.
Actually he's not but he's the best character in the movie
An opinion. But he is still powerful for me tho ... He was to compassionate to mind bend all and earase humanity with a whim without their notice. Realization ✌
@@angelocastillo6420 yeah he could literally kill all the Avengers with his mindcontrol not to mention he's smart af(since he's one of the thinkers in the group) which adds to his supremacy
But if he gets amp by unimind he can kill all the Eternals and Celestials(maybe)
Just an opinion on my part. I'm not bothered tho. I'm a mutant fan actually ☝😄 dark phoenix and the mad witch are still the apex 🤟
Pretty sure Makkari could blitz his ass lmao
Sersi might love Humanity first, but Druig understands them better.
He was a helicopter parent though :P
When he shouts "UPSET!!!!" and that gunshot you edited, my heart skipped a beat.
the scene where he was talking calmly and as soon as Ajak said he was upset he lashed out was the best scene imo. Because"upset" doesn't even come close to what he's felt all that time.
Amazing work!!! Druig was one of the more interesting eternals to me, and this video really showed his character well.
Are the straight up cult leader and the speedster who's only in the movie for like 10 minutes the best eternals? Yes they are
one of the most intelligent eternals character. he could stop and develop human mind using his ability. if it happened could we imagine what would we become. our mind would go beyond the infinite.
Reasons why Druig is the best Eternal in MCU :
1) Druig is the first Eternal to realize that they were all pawns of the Celestials .
Phastos said technology is part of evolution and something that can't possibly stop. Phastos didn't try
My favorite character by himself. Loved every time he spoke. And I adore him with Makkari.
hands down druig was the best character barry really did a an amazing job acting and his lines were soo meaningful this edit is awsom
Barry can become a generational actor. Every movie he has been on he steals the show. Always perfecr performances.
You captured his story arc so amazingly in this short edit it's beautiful. The music in the background is also just the icing on the cake man. Gorgeous
Thank you!!
His line about deviants "That makes them us." was truly my favorite and so moving tbh
Love 1:01 when he yells “upset” and then the guns go off. Wonderful job!
UGH i love him so much, such a well written character. And Barry Keoghan was the perfext Druog. Cant wait to see more of him soon
Thank you so very much for watching !
1:02 You can tell from his voice how angry and frustrated he is, he could literally take over the world using that power of his, but he choose not to, becuase deep down, he cares for humanity
I loved his character. I love the idea of his ability to help but being forced not to, and what that does to a person. I hope they explore this concept with him more.
While we live in an industrial era of cinema, especially because of Disney, this movie has a real heart. This is what the MCU projects should be : not product, art.
"Inside every cynical person is a disappointed idealist" -George Carlin-. And I think Druig was a great example of this quote.
damn, i found the video im gonna watch on repeat! best edit for druig so far, really captured his dark, emotional side and his characters mindset so well, and the music choice oof
Thank you so much !
I like the detail about all other Eternals being a legend of old, hence their names are relevant for different cultures around the world except for Druig because he's the only one who laid low
Him and Angelina Jolie carried this movie. I loved watching every minute of their performances. Everything else about this movie is heavily flawed, but not their acting.
@@J259-k9b I actually took a moment to go read reviews on rottentomatoes, and by the looks of things, most viewers are simply too dimwitted to catch the story if it's not shoved down their throats.
Makkari too. Her and druig scenes are way better than the main couple.
@@J259-k9b I liked eternals A LOT. but since ppl go with majority vote, they will see the score and think it’s bad.
@@demyanrudenko they are used to previous marvel phase. This is just very new and different.
Great video! Druig was one of my favorite characters in the movie and you did a great job in portraying why.
Saw Eternals yesterday. Loved the film and every character but above them all for me was Druig. For me his is the worst power you possibly could have. Like, see Sersi or Ikaris or any other Eternal, they can use their powers anytime they want because there isnt any moral behind them, their powers aint bad or good, just neutral, and the morality of their use is just shown by their own intentions. But Druig? It doesnt matter if it is a good or bad intention, using his power its always morally ambiguous. Like, he has a good purpose about ending wars and hate and all that, but using his powers for that is just bad. And if you add to all that that he shows to be the most compassionate among all of the Eternals... Wouldn't like to be on his shoes really. And i think both Barry and the director have shown perfectly this conflict. And also this amazing vid, perfectly edited!! New sub 😄
excellent job editing this, it felt like it could be a movie on its own
You really made a lot of justice to his character with this edit, i love it
Druig’s argument with it ends now is the best part of the entire thing. Straight gold of a character and writing.
This tribute really does capture the essence of Druig perfectly, beautiful video.
the gunshot lining up with the yelling was fantastic! great editing overall!!
Druig and Makkari were definitly my only favourites in this, the untapped potential is astounding.
This is my 100th time back watching this. I cannot stop coming back! Amazing work.
This captures druigs character and why people like him so well. Thank you for making it!
his acting is phenomenal.
This is the perfect trailer for Druig. He's suuuuuch a cool character in the movie! They really nailed directing and representing him. Great job to the actor and the director .A.
I honestly think that Barry should get a best supporting actor nomination for his portrayal of Druig. No cap
The real reason he was angry is because he was stuck carrying the entire movie
Lmaoooo!
He's the only character that got me to cry in this movie.
Damn this would have made an amazing mini series! Character development man! Elaboration of the motives behind actions and stuff...
“Do you think they’ll accept the truth, like we did?”
“Yes, because the truth will set them free.”
That ending to this edit gave me chills! Awesome work and Druig is by far one of my favourite characters in the movie and I hope they flesh him out more
Oh daaaaamn. From this edit alone, we can tell how much you understood and loved his character, this is beautiful!
This is so amazingly done, I’m so obsessed with this!! Now I need a Druig movie!!!
oughhh this is so good and absolutely reignited my love for druig, makkari, and this whole film!!!!!!!
Love Druig and the actor who played it.
having infinity of languages, Druig decided to speak with the truth
Don't care aabout some people who only love action and jokes said, this movie is a masterpiece
"Pawns to their leaders, blinded by loyalty" is the most hypocritical thing he ever said
druig is literally the best character i love him so much
wow..this is a masterpiece of editing. the flares in music match the scenes perfectly. feels like a movie trailer
My beautiful, beautiful Makkari.
OMG, brilliant work! I watched it like ten times in a row, and now I'm going to make my friends do the same:D I love the way you captured his character, and the music mixed with the shots were just amazing!
He and Makkari are definitely my favorites in the movie
I loved this and I loved him! Beautiful tribute
Thank you !
Druig is the smartest among all of them.
The Eternals may not have the best reviews but the characters are really interesting and I love how the mcu shifts from different worlds like Wakanda, Space, Queens, New York
He was the main reason I even wanted to rewatch this movie
I still can’t get over how got this is even after so long, I have it added to a playlist that just helps me sleep, the music and everything is perfect and calming
this has become my comfort vid in the last days. so good. ugh. SO GOOD. thank you
11 days later & I'm still thinking about this😫 It's beautiful, I love Druig 🖤
Druig is so handsome and cool..
You captured his character so well in just less than three minutes! Amazing work 👏🏻
Jeez, I'm so in love with his voice.
this is so well made!! love druig and this made me love him more
I find it hilarious that Barry Keoghan isn't classically trained like Kit Harington, Gemma Chan and Richard Madden are yet he is worlds above them in acting prowess, screen prescence and charisma and how he can have chemistry too.
The decision to show Sprite in the background as Druig and Makkari share a moment provides an excellent example of blocking as a storytelling tool.
i met him the other day on my way to play soccer in ny, and i seen him, genuine guy
But what most blew me away was the incredible sound design in this vid. You pay such great attention to detail in the sound and I'm obsessed with how you match similar sounds based on their intensity and the emotion you're trying to convey. You truly are so freaking talented! ❤
Thank you so much ❤
If I had a nickel for every time Marvel made me feel sympathetic towards a character that used their powers to strip a community of their collective free will, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
idk why people didn't like Eternals, I luv'd it! Also- Druig, was by faaaar my favorite Eternal! I really hope we get a part 2 soon.
*I watched eternals for the plot.*
The plot:
this reflects druig so well!! good job!
The editing on this is just gorgeous
thank goodness he's a good guy. He split out to save people from war and disaster
This is the most stunning edit I have ever seen. Brilliant character study. Sound and visuals meshed so well.
First everyone thought that he is not good but here is the truth he is the only one who cared about human most😌😌
