The little kid who loves dinosaurs and incredible prehistoric animals, and the adult who likes science and history inside me, are both excited for this one.

So me twice? Got it.
As someone who grew up in the 2000s with the best prehistoric life docs of the time like Walking with dinosaurs, prehistoric park, and walking with beasts, and as someone who is now putting in the work to become a paleontologist, this makes me so happy. The story of life on earth is over three billion years in the making and is such a fascinating story. I cannot wait for this!
This series is nothing new, its based on very old and outdated facts.
Do yourself a favor if you are watching this, research their facts before you believe em.
Like the rippling water, its actually impossible.
'93 Jurassic Park has more actual facts in its trailer than this docu trailer and thats 1993!!😂😂
@@CharlesLechmere_the_Ripper My dude, I'm literally studying historical geology in university. I'm actually doing a research project right now on late cretaceous dinosaurs. Indeed. Although this one looks a lot more Hollywoodified , but looks like it would be fun nevertheless.
I’m very interested on their representation on the KT catastrophe. The shot where the Smilodon climbs onto the Glyptodon looks stunning too
I long to see more of the gorgonopsid at 0:40. May the therapsids thrive!
@@TheThrivingTherapsid it’s nice scutosaurus is finally making an appearance in media too. Permian creatures in general are criminally underrepresented. Most people when they see a dimetrodon immediately call it a dinosaur and then are surprised when you tell them it’s a synapsid and more closely related to mammals than dinosaurs.
@@theotheseaeagle it also highlights the numerous groups of animals which thrived in the Permian and co-dominated with the synapsids, thinking primarily of the temnospondyls and the parareptiles, and did not make it further down the road due climate and archosaurs. In his 93 years, Attenborough has visited every continent on the globe, exploring the wild places of the planet and documenting the living world in all its variety and wonder. But during his lifetime, Attenborough has also seen first-hand the monumental scale of humanity's impact on nature.
I grew up watching him on the screens. He is one of earths most valuable assets :) The man who made me love and appreciate nature so much, David Attenborough.
Indeed our actions are ruining earth…leading to biodiversity loss and it’s sad. I am building a startup to tackle this challenge and I welcome everyone to join me on this journey.
That's Morgan Freeman who's narrating this .
And I don't think that david Attenborough is the one who documented the things you've watched, there are some amazing filmmakers who do that , he reads scripts .
@@adil.670 Attenborough did document a lot in his early years (and he was the writer for many of his famous shows presented/narrated by him until 2015), but yeah now he usually reads scripts or presents for brief moments in big-scale series and works mostly as a presenter for BBC specials (though being able to do that at his age is still amazing imo)
Attenborough is doing the one for Apple TV, this one is Morgan Freeman aka God from Jim Carry Almighty movie.
It's like a epic reboot of Walking with Dinosaurs/Beasts/Monsters
The long-awaited reboot of the Walking With… trilogy.

Really wish we could witness these animals in person
Just to time travel back and be amazed at life back then how pure and wild it was to exist.
If you had the option to travel only once to the past , and spend just a day there, which animal would you like to see (the answer might include several animals, if you know enough about the time period of choice. Planned out in such a way that in this one day you could see several animals that co-existed ) ?

I have been a big fan of dinosaurs and prehistoric mammals since I watched the BBC's Walking with Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Creatures documentaries almost 20 years ago. With the animation now, I hope they give us a good documentary with this new program from NETFLIX.
It will especially be phenomenal to have Morgan Freeman 0:33 as narrator and Steven Spielberg as executive producer.
The part where they show the extinction of the dinosaurs almost brought a tear to my eye. Poor creatures.
@@H.K.5dude they dont exist

I want a second season already !

The mother and baby raptor together was the sweetest thing from this show.
I’m super excited to see another Prehistoric documentary series that explores the Paleozoic and Cenozoic eras considering we had so many prehistoric series center on Dinosaurs and the late Mesozoic era (Cretaceous) for a long time.
And in regards of the CG even if it’s not in the level of the CG used in Apple TV+’s Prehistoric Planet I Consider this to be almost on par with that series and love the looks of the Prehistoric Creatures being brought to life by ILM.
I wanna see in-depth documentaries about animals after the age of dinosaurs I mean we were growing tired of Trex and Velociraptor rightttt
Don’t get excited about the Cenozoic. We’re only seeing the Pleistocene (which was LITERALLY MODERN DAY in evolutionary terms; almost all living animals had already evolved by this point), skipping over the ACTUAL story of mammalian (and other) evolution during the Cenozoic that had happened before that point. We also know there are several glaring issues with some of the Pleistocene segments.
It’s really just the Paleozoic segments that stand out.
@@bkjeong4302 Well regardless, I’m excited we’re seeing other Prehistory eras outside of the late Mesozoic era (Cretaceous) especially the Triassic and Jurassic eras considering we’ve had so many prehistoric documentaries set during the late Cretaceous.
@@EChacon I think what we should really be getting excited about is the fact that the Permian period is finally getting well deserved attention in mainstream media. Boy am I excited to see some gorgonops and Scutosaurus action
Stephen Spielberg AND Morgan Freeman? Take my money 💰
I could listen to Morgan a freeman all day and could it be any better than directed by Steven Spielberg? Will buy popcorn tomorrow ready for this epic show.
This is even better than I was expecting!!! Once this masterpiece comes out, I’ll be binge watching it the day after for the next eight hours.

"maiasaura"
Is ouranosaurus not edmonto
Correction: The dinosaur that appeared before Doedicurus is likely Brachiosaurus, though promo art shows that Diplodocus will likely make an appearance as well
Correction: What I initially identified as Moschorhinus is most likely Rubidgea. It's skull is too wide to be Inostrancevia though.

This is incredible looking. Its gonna be sad during the mass extinctions, especially the Great Dying. But incredible nonetheless. Titanis, Scutosaurus and (assumedly) Innostrancevia, the giant Nautiloids and the dromeosaurs at the end all look absolutely amazing.
I think the dromeosaur at the end might be pectinodon judging by the snout. I could be wrong though

Honestly man you need to check your vision. CGI is very mediocre in this one. Dinos look plasticky, basic to none muscle simulation, poor animation and the shader/material look is not very good. However they did that they could in circumstances they had, which is either low budget or unrealistic deadlines.

It's unfortunate that the trailer itself asks a question that only humans will ever think about or ask. "Who will rule the world". Not a single species has this on their agenda. Life is all about balance. Human kind is all about tipping that balance in our favor to, rule the world.
Hear, hear.
And anyway, to my mind arthropods "rule" the animal kingdom, which itself is only possible thanks to plants & fungi. These flashy vertebrates are tiny players in the grand story of life.
A dominant species like mammals, dinosaurs, or super salamanders would be considered to 'rule the world'
The only one that rules the world is Nature itself.. it finds a way 😅❤
Humans rule the world with our minds while Dinosaurs rule the word with their claws and fangs.
@@romella_karmey Nature is just a collection of bodies and phenomena that are actors and acted upon. God alone truly owns all of creation.

Do you think this series will be better than prehistoric planet
Design and animation wise, definitely not, prehistoric planet has more accurate designs and looks more realistic, but ph shows everyday lives of the mesozoic creatures, life on our planet eill focus on more eras and eill show how life developed and survived,so they are quite different based on what they focus on,but i think it wont be better than pregistoric planet overall, maybe will be more informative and interesting
