Thank you for sharing this short beautiful video. It encompassed so much detail not one short film. I was deeply moved as a beekeeper to see these small moments into others lives around the world. Those sacred churches with the bees in them was enough to renew one’s faith. Truly reverential and holy. It is true that it would seem they live with little in the way of money, but they are wealthy in culture and beauty.
I love the shot of the immense Sycamore Tree where Abby waited for the bus towards Laliba. Of course I truly enjoyed the amazing BEES ---- little "angels" ---- provided to us from Nature! I admire the rural Ethiopians pf their Faith and good Ethics!!! VIEWING from California. 🎉🎉🎉
Raw honey or even just straight honey comb is so healthy and has fixed a few of my health problems. Eating raw honey everyday is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Get it from a local farm if your can or do the beekeeping yourself.
Thank you ! The Master of Bees in Ethiopia represents a holistic approach to beekeeping that intertwines economic sustainability with cultural heritage and spiritual reverence
I LIKE DOCUMENTARIES RELATED WITH HONEY. THIS IS A GREAT ONE IN LALIBELA. THERE IS WHITE HONEY IN TIGRAY, ETHIOPIA. I ALWAYS WONDER WHAT KIND OF NECTAR THE BEES USE. I HOPE TO WATCH A DOCUMENTARY BASED ON THAT.
Awh this was so heart warming. I can’t explain it. Such a beautiful documentary. I learnt so much! May God bless this man and his family and all of Gods children 🥹🙏🏽
Its amazing that in 2024 some Africans have preserved their culture and worship the true God.God of our ancestors. And they heal their bodies with God given creatures and herbs.
yikes, 50 birr per kilo? That's only 80 euroCENTS per kilo!! He sold 6kg of honey, so he earned less than 5 euros for all of it, minus bus expenses and days of walking. He is lives a grateful, but tough life.
@pearls1626 No one but when the video had misinformation about Muslims in it I felt like adding this and it is relevant because of the importance of bees because if they die we all die... This is youtube I can share my views and I don't really care if you like it! Now I could understand your objection if I posted about Islam with absolutely zero connection but I've just told you 2 connections! 1) the blatant lie about Muslims! 2) The Quran has a whole chapter dedicated to the honey bee because of its important and yet Modern science only caught up to this somewhat recently.

Blatant lie in the video about Christians being barred from Jerusalem. In fact, the roads leading to Jerusalem were not safe, which is why the new Jerusalem was built. Ethiopia has a special place in the heart of Muslims as our Christian brothers gave refuge to the earliest Muslims who fled persecution in Makkah. Love ❤Ethiopia and its Christian From a Muslim.
Always interesting to see how people keep bees in different parts of the world. Looks like they tend to do lots of mini harvests throughout the year rather than a small number of large harvests like you would using a Langstroth/centrifugal extractor combo. It's interesting that they also leave it unstrained, wax chunks and all, surely they could run it through a piece of cloth if they chose to.
Actually all honey is semi healing. A doc told me once to put it on my wound from a port removal and it helps heal. it also has antibacterial properties.
I pray to see these vilagers life improved to the one who produced these documentary please if you're not to help these people for good don't expose them to the eyes of the greediest rich people that would destroy them for the sake of their very natural and organic lifestyles to scramble their lands. You could make a go fund me for these people so that they get their life improved!

He travelled all these kilometers to get only 50 birr! It is more than a kilo. And still he was very happy and grateful. May God bless him.
I think it was 50 Etb per kilo. Should be a few kilos in those containers.
But still, makes you appreciate your desk job.
They are using the old money 24:35 so it is probably filmed 6-10 years ago. 50 ETB per killo
Looked like roughly 3kg or so. A kilo is around 800mls.
