Experimental music from The Dialtones!
This track is made entirely from field recordings of dishwashers, cloths washers and dryers, and other miscellaneous sounds. Inspired by a friend’s first time to engage in intercourse, appropriately on top of a washing machine, the moans are pitched down expressions from Karla Manzur.
The video features footage of Maya Deren (director, choreographer from the 1940’s), I’ve used her work before for visuals and find every movement she makes is mesmerizing. Also included is experimental film work by Jean Cocteau (Blood of a Poet, 1932).
