I wouldn’t worry too much. We used to drive horse and buggy. Peoples careers revolved around it. Now we drive cars. We will find a way to adapt, no matter what. Technically, mainstream sucks for me personally. Most of my music is shit on SoundCloud, most people haven’t heard anyways. There will always be a demand for live music as well :)
Tbh I think its another avenue for producers to express them selves. Sometimes you can’t sit a vocalist in a studio retaking for 4 hours to get it perfect. And honestly it can come off as disrespectful if you are just directing a vocalist to get exactly as you envisioned. They could want there own creative expression in the track as well. There’s definitely a place for AI vocals in the future.

Scarlet Johansen is currently suing a company for creating an AI voice model of her without her consent. Even if they were paid it likely wouldnt compare to a lifelong career of voice acting or singing that the ai voice would replace
