Early Saturday morning, NYC, second cup of coffee on a rainy/cloudy day...time to relax, sit back while watching another superb Les Frenchies video with Colleen and Antoine. Excellent work as always ! Cheers !
I hope you bought the red scarf. I loved the other one with the circles too. Enjoyable video, thank you.
5:40 AM in MN - starting my day with Les Frenchies! Yay! Great episode - wonderful finds! Thank you!
At first I want to say thank you, for all your Videos... every single Video is a little journey to France. I enjoy it so much, I hope you have a lot of Stuff for much more content. At last I say go on and enjoy us with nice Restaurants and Shops and so on. Stay healthy and enjoyed the good Wine and Cheese... ok ok Champagne :)
And cognac :)
Not all potential subscribers and travelers consume alcohol, want to eat out all the time or go to crowded museums. They are addressing that with this video which is very well done and curated.
@@r-cdmx For the most part, I just wonder around the city or where ever I am. I also prefer to prepare my own food. I never to out to restaurants. I did see Versailles which was very nice and also the Vatican.
One of my favorite videos. Looking forward to my next holiday to France. Merci.
One of my bosses has now grabbed this video and making notes.Looks like AMEX gets hammered after the weekend.
The scarves are fantastic! I hope that you purchased a few, Colleen. The art store was so cool. The chocolate store!!!!! Oh. My, looks delicious. MMMMM....cashmere! Such a selection. I love watching you two, you make Saturday mornings so enjoyable. Merci et On y va!
My souvenir of choice when I travel is a beautiful scarf! I wear them often and I always remember where I bought them! And they don’t take up space!
Thank you so much for making all this informative videos: I wrote everything down, and it’s so good to see quite few things in the 6th Arr. I can’t wait to try them all. ❤❤❤
Handbags are one of my must buys when traveling. You can get beautiful pieces that will be unique at home without spending a fortune
Merci. I'm going to be in Paris in two weeks for a couple of days so shopping in a couple of these shops near my hotel will be fun.
Enjoyed this soooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!
H is for hard. B is for black. So the pencils are on a scale according to how soft (B) or hard (H) they are. Pencils for writing are often HB, so in the centre of the scale.
The numerical designation also indicates the hardness of the "lead"; the lower the number, the softer the "lead" for pencils which are used to create shaded pencil drawings.
Y’all are so cute together! I love how you show your love for each other.
Great ideas!! Thank you!!
I have a family full of chocoholics....When I went to Paris, I knew they all wanted the same thing: Chocolate...so I went to Jaques Genin and Maison Laroux based on your recommendations...It was a HUGE hit...
Nice... My wife and returned from Paris a few days ago. Had a wonderful time... Paris is beautiful! Easy to get around the city on the Metro. Easy to get out of the city on the RER or TGV. Safe in the areas we were in. Friendly, helpful people everywhere. It was a great time, we definitely plan to go back!
Your RUclips channel was a GREAT help!! Thanks for everything you guys do...
FWIW... We stayed at the Les Dames Des Arts hotel in St. Germain. Excellent hotel and perfectly located! Friendly staff. Clean hotel rooms with a great breakfast. Good gym for those that want to exercise (other than walking, which we did). We walked many places from there.
Thanks again Les Frenchies!!!
When I finally get to Paris, I will be bringing an empty suitcase for all my Paris treasures ❤ Thank you for another fabulous video.
Thank you for finding and sharing these hidden gems! 😊 Nadine Delepine bookmarked for when I visit in November.
I was the same, but I am currently here and stopped by the shop today. Worth it! Beautiful stuff.
Oh my goodness!! That was pure bliss , such unique gifts and shops, once again thank you 🌸
Watching this video could prove expensive..in the best possible way. Well done!
Forty-seven Euros on a pair of socks. He must be a loved husband. Great video today.
Did you buy that amazing crochet scarf? ?Cost?
You need to buy one of those beautiful scarves, they looked so gorgeous on you!
Agreed!!!
I hope that you bought that gorgeous red floral scarf! It looked lovely on you!
That big ad wall they put up in front of the opera sure is a huge eyesore.
I think it’s a cover over the renovations.
It's being renovated, it happens to all the monuments... also, the adverts partly pay for the renovations.
@Baracuda-xj6zk I am currently staying at the Intercontinental Le Grand at Opera. It has been Paris Fashion Week and a huge fashion parade was held in front of the Opera House on Monday night. The renovation of the Opera House is taking forever - we were here in March last year - the L’Oreal ad looks better than the bare scaffolding!
I'm coming to Paris in May next year. I'm Australian and have never been to Europe and I am so very grateful for your videos! Lovely kind people sharing wonderful tips!
In Brisbane!! I've been often. Looking forward to going chez moi in a few weeks.
Marvelous!!!
❤❤Les Frenchies❤❤
Oh my, now I need another trip to Paris, everything is lovely! Love the crafts store!!! 😍
I'm in Paris right now, and I think I'm going to Si Tu Veux tomorrow. I love those kind of old-fashioned toys!
I will be in Paris again next year, and I can’t wait to hit some of these spots! Thank you for the recommendations! 😊
Finally. A more curated video. A potential subscriber. Merci.
🙌🏽✨

Bonjour frôm TX, which hop-on / hop-off tour would you recommend?
Upcoming trip to Paris
Do you know- Musee L’Hotel de la Marine on Place du Concorde?- We went there yesterday - fabulous history. Magnificent rooms. Entrance 17.50 Euros.
It also houses the Le Cordon Bleu Cooking School - where you can book cooking classes.
I really love this video.
Thanks guys. More than useful.
👍🏻👍🏻
The epiceries in Paris are amazing. I remember window shopping near l'Arc de Triomphe over 20 years ago. Tiny little glass pots of mustard made with 100+ year old cognac. Incredibly expensive, but I bet they were so good! (Way beyond my means, but so fun to see and dream about them!)
Great! I knew if some but discovered others to visit when I go back to Paris. I also love going to Mariage Freres and Kusmi The and Jacquard de France.
How fun. You two are marvelous!!!
Where is a good place to buy silk?
Another super video to bookmark, especially for ideas to take home to my family for the holidays! Merci, Colleen and Colleen! (and Antoine got 2 pairs of socks for his birthday 😉
I'm currently planning my trip to Paris for next year :) I want that walking stick!! It's brilliant!!
OMG at first I thought from the title - ok because it's you guys, I'll see. After watching, I thought, wow! the few times I've been to Paris, I didn't take the time to explore these because you try to do all the "big" things. Now, I think you should just fill the trip going to places like these!!
Just got back from Paris and nice- ur videos helped me prepare so much! Thx
Mam, writing from India. Your programs are really nice. I have been to Paris once. Request you to show premium range women and men's fashion store [higher than high street but not luxury] which are authentic French and very trendy and in tune with world style standards. Best Wishes!
Cool video! Si Tu Veux is a must stop for stuff for little ones back home, and it’s just a neat place to wander around in. I’m look ing forward to checking out some of these places next time around. Thanks, once again, for the new ideas🍷
I could not resist stopping by Nadine Delepine's workshop today after seeing this video this morning (such good timing, we were going to be sightseeing in the 6th today!). I fell in love with the red scarf you tried on in the video! I knew I was going to be in trouble when you didn't mention how much it cost, but the detailed work and past experience with knitting told me it wasn't going to be cheap. We stopped by this afternoon and I fell in love with it for real. (Fortunately I checked out her website before we left, so no sticker shock.) The owner was super nice and warned me to be careful--not leave the scarf on the back of a chair where someone could walk off with it. I assured her I would guard it with my life. It's so beautiful! Thank you for mentioning the store in the video, I loved looking through everything in there.
I love shopping, especially in Paris. I am surprised that in the Scottish Cashmere boutique there was a top at that price though.
3:21 Lol this is actually for dusting :) that is a true american oblivious moment 😂
Excellent information for my trip next year! You guys are wonderful.
Oh, those Pencils were Faber Castell. That was a Count in Franconias Castell village named after that family, and they made these Pencils worldwide and even equipped all Russian schools with them for free, just to help the revolution win 1917 and enable the first countrywide education all over in cooperation with Lenin, whom he met in Zurich, Switzerland. Until then under the Zar all farmers and rural populations were personally owned by the noble class and were not allowed schools. And the sign HB is the degree of hardness in the graphite mine. There are others for special usages. HB were, what we learned writing and sketching with at school.
Secondly my father lived and died in that very village of Castell and was not allowed to receive his funeral service in the wonderfull huge Baroque church, because it's privately owned by the local Count Castell, and only members of the Castell family were allowed as corpses in there. It was then held up under the sky in the cemetery. I always have to think of both those facts, seeing Faber Castell pencils all over the world still today. Even in the US and New Zealand ive seen them.
I have a lot of Faber Castell coloring pencils, water soluble pencils, etc. Your post is very interesting. Thank you.
When I was a kid, I had a nice box with all colors of Faber Castell pencils from my Italian uncle. Do you know the Hammer family cooperated with pencils in URSS as well? In 1926, they had a factory there.
@@monicavivendoemla5537 yes, and they imported US trucks via Vladivostok to help the Russian Army, and they even named their son Armand, just like the revolutionary flag ( Arm and Hammer
Your enthusiasm and charm as a couple show through and are admirable. My husband and I aspire to live a life like yours, discovering the pleasures of life and gastronomy. We have been together for 30 years and we can say that the secret to a great marriage is to cherish and experience life together through travel and together moments. We wish you much love and blessings and thank you for your great Parisian experiences! You make us want to come to Paris more and more! On y va! 😍
Thank you, you guys are the best! I've just added 4 shops from this video that ship to the USA for those of us who cannot get to Paris as much as we like.
I love Le Petit Prince Store in Paris because “Le Petit Prince” is one of my favorite books. I got souvenirs for myself and for my friends there and they loved them.
Just as I thought I couldn't love you more. Merci!
Thanks for the information where to buy special gifts😎
Wow, I wish I had known about some of these shops when I was there in June. Oh well, next time.
Your videos are a wealth of knowledge.
Bonjour Colleen and Antoine. Not one but ten hidden gems. Merci beaucoup😊
This was a great video guys! What fun! I can’t wait to visit these shops when I get to Paris again. Thank you
Apparently I need to make my way back to Paris sooner rather than later. And I'm not really a shopper so that's saying a lot!
Colleen, I hope you bought that scarf. ❤ I could tell that you loved it.
Would love to get an idea about the prices as well
The L'Oreal ad on the front of the Opera is distressing. 😢
Wonderful, I want it all!
Thank you so much for this
Thank you
Enjoyed that!!!
Amazing as usual
Wonderful
Luv you two ❤
Wow❤
Wow❤
My sister and I were planning on visiting Paris. Sadly, she won't be able to. She passed away this afternoon.
My most sincere condolences 🥲. Sending much love and prayers your way.
@@chobleu Thank you. That means a lot to me.
Its fish leather, that little envelope style purse.
I have heard pebbled leather texture but not fish leather 😮
I LOVE Marin Montagut -and in July it was just two blocks from our rental by the Jardin du Luxembourg. Gorgeous!
I thought it was pebbled leather, but I could be wrong.
@@shadowguard3578 you could be right also, but i seemingly noticed the fish "chips?) don't know their english word. But fish leather is rather exquisite and would fit very well in such a shop. Very rare, only vey few people make fish leather mostly in one person only shop. I just have a pair pebbled leather shoes yesterday brought to a shoe maker for new soles. It is not that fine that pebbling.
@@Salzbuckel I looked up fish leather online. The pictures of the texture/pebbling of fish leather that I saw online was far more pronounced and was more raised and less flat. Some fish leather also reminded me of snake/reptile skin. I don’t know anything about fish leather, I never knew it existed!
