Even if it hadn't been teams, cubes with your friends where you can all metagame based on your past experiences with them are some of the best experiences in Magic.
"I challenge you to find a better feeling in magic than 3-0ing the team draft, when both your teammates 1-2d, to be the hero." This truly is magic at it's finest!
Love Cube draft! It's my favorite format in the entire game. Singleton with your favorite cards from the entire history of the game all playing together. Amazing 💚💙❤
The green deck here would have been pretty crazy. Definitely cool to get back to old school drafting, where you have to think a bit about your opponents and their tendencies.
@00:55 His teammates, while skilled in their own right, couldn't help but feel humbled in Luis's presence. Yet, they understood the greater purpose they served. They recognized that while Luis may have appeared as the hero, their collective efforts were crucial in achieving success. They were the supporting pillars that elevated his genius to even greater heigts. sub for more
But Luis, ever humble, attributed his victories not solely to his individual brilliance but to the unity and synergy of his team. He recognized the unique strengths and talents of each teammate, nurturing their growth and weaving their abilities into his grand tapestry of triumph.
People started to notice that Luis's triumphs seemed almost too perfect, his maneuvers too impeccable, as if guided by an unseen hand. Skeptics began to question whether his exceptional abilities were truly his own or the result of a malevolent enchantment that granted him an unfair advantage.
yeah the thing about drafting combo or blue in general is that it's really good in leagues where basically no one is hate drafting because why would you, and also the average drafter is fairly bad. When it comes to cube with other serious players, it's really hard to make combo work consistently if at all. hate drafting in a pod vs a league is just incredibly different. And it's very easy to hate a couple critical cards from blue decks, while still having easily enough green or white dorks to fill out a nice aggressive strategy, where many of the cards are interchangeable. TL;DR - straight forward redundant strategies are much more powerful when facing good opponents.
Yeah, suddenly goodstuff/superfriends looks great, because no one can stop you from assembling 4 color midrange. (Or, not without a great detriment to their own deck, or moving into it themselves I guess.)
@34:40 Feel like there should've been some consideration to exiling the fiend then if they don't crack the clue on their turn you get to burst lightning the tracker and loran the clue if you really want to.
This video is just full of reasons why Pod drafting is better than the Leagues. This drafting strategy and then all the card knowledge you get from playing against the people in your drafts!
Karakas is such a broken card. One time I played it in a RU deck to protect my legends and get value out of Venser/Clique and felt invincible when I had the combo.
tanglewire stinks. It's similar to how he explains ravages of war. It's a win-more card. You need to be ahead on the board already for it to be effective. Horrific top deck if losing. Land tax is similar. There are many games it does literally nothing and it is a HORRIBLE do-nothing top deck later in games. Doesnt effect the board at all.
@@bretfarrell5765 Don't you build the deck so you start off early? Tanglewire is akin to Geddon. "Doesn't effect the board" the turn you play it. It certainly effects the board as it takes all your land drops out the deck. Makes every card you draw better from that point on better. Or at least a greater percentage of your draws better at the very least. Sylvian Library doesn't effect the board either. Land Tax is basically the white library.
what are the rules here for communication about decks between games? you're told one of the players is mono white. Can you say the archetype? the cards? a full list of everything you saw?
Arena is viewer-friendlier than MTGO so I hope wizards adds formats like this to it. LSV, would it be possible please to zoom in 10% or so to help readability of cards with lots of text?
"Arena is viewer-friendlier". Hmmm no. It has been made for the show, to make "impressive" game of magic, but lot of things are not shown, or too quickly resolving.
You passed both Temple Garden and Stomping Ground and said you don't see a world where you play either, but aren't they both potential upside with fetches? Even if you think you're 0% to play green, they can turn R/G or W/G fetches into duals. Plus, I do think there's a slight chance you would want to splash green if you open a Minsk and Boo or something similarly bomby in green. The other thing that stood out this draft was you did a lot of hate drafting over taking playables in your colors. Not saying it's wrong, just that it seemed to be much more than you usually do. I wonder if it's because there's some color bias going on, i.e. you hate the idea of people getting good blue and black control/combo cards more than getting red or white aggro cards because you prefer those colors and strategies.
Are you saying this deck would have been significantly better with Land Tax? Seems like if the Sultai deck resolved a Grave Titan against LSV it would have been pretty miserable. Plus there's a better chance one of his opponents took the Necromancy and Grave Titan is a pretty nice roleplayer in that deck; very reasonable pick for team draft. Not saying your wrong but yelling at your screen over a Land Tax seems a little too far.

Have cards, need 😊friends
For real, the more texture added to any magic games/events makes for a better time
lsv played aurelia the warleader in vintage cube, i thought i would never see the day.
and it clenched the 3-0… what timeline is this
Dear lord that game 1 vs Sandydog was an absolute beating, basically got rinsed every single turn of the game lmao
that was an amazing game, what a ringer
44:20 could also have flickered the fiend. 8 mana means you get to kick the burst lightning and attack for 3 in the air for exactsies.
I was thinking the same. Adversary was not even needed lol.
I wait anxiously every day for vintage cube drafts. Love ‘em!
Well read, well drafted, well played - even got to see whether the gambit paid off. Also, we even got an awesome ending! A+
"I challenge you to find a better feeling in magic than 3-0ing the team draft, when both your teammates 1-2d, to be the hero." This truly is magic at it's finest!
So many vintage drafts these days, truly a Cubemas in July.
It's June buddy
Oh yeah baby more vintage team draft the champagne of limited
I love these videos 😍😍
Ps.after watch ... Aurelia!!!!!!!! 😂😂😂
Love Cube draft! It's my favorite format in the entire game. Singleton with your favorite cards from the entire history of the game all playing together. Amazing 💚💙❤
44:07 alternate win route: Flickerwisp the mesmeric fiend, kicked burst lightning to face and attack with spellbinder = 7dmg
That last match was a work of art

thanks for the carry this time!
I need to know if both your teammates victories were against the mono white guy you cut all draft making you the ultimate hero!
I will not tolerate this Tangle Wire slander. It's one of the most fantastic cards for white-based aggressive decks
The title is enough for a like
Then seeing all those beautiful white cards was an extra bonus
Best MTG channel! Hoping for some more LTR drafts again soon as well!
Very nicely done LSV! Great draft.
"What is this, armageddon? Ok. I am done with this game."
This was a great draft! I was so surprised how open green was. I like to play green, so I would definitely drafted that.
Game 1 woaaah! Insane! Loran is awesome!
At 55:20 you could of gave monastery mentor unblockable to red creatures and win because of the prowess from swords to plow shares.
Your vintage cube videos are awesome bro
bonfire is always in the opening hand by law, unless you're mulliganing
Unless you're facing Kibler at Pro Tour 😅
sweet draft loving this content

Did you really say Land Tax and Tangle Wire are bad cards? Premodern juggernauts😂
200iq first pick and first pack
Feel good draft for LSV! WP
18k views on 18k subs after 15 hours is peak metrics. You love to see to it.
best draft player ever!
Not a big fan of “mono” white, but it was great and fun to watch!
I am really surprised sandydog went Mono W and passed us the Flickerwisp
Awesome games! Boros ftw!

Aurelia, peak Magic!
Good stuff!
"Oko is just too much." Yeah....
Great strategy at play! Who would have put LSV on Boros aggro?
Wow. How the cube has changed. Power level is so slow here
masterclass
next level.
How did he pull that off with this deck, and those games
Lets find out who the real Lsv prime is.
Is there a list for this cube they are drafting?
CHEFS KISS
The Mana Tithe disrespect.Selfless spirit is super meh
What are the cube changes?
You love to see it
Aurellia clearly too strong for the cube, take it out.
Karakas is such a broken card. One time I played it in a RU deck to protect my legends and get value out of Venser/Clique and felt invincible when I had the combo.
Is this mtgo because it looks very different and if no where is it and does it still run vintage cube?
@@Ffancrzywe belive the webside is draftmancer
Damn, last few videos LSV been flooded with lands sometimes
Overly complicated line, you could have just flicked and burst ligntning for 4 damage xD
Wait. LSV thinks Tanglewire and Land Tax are bad? 🤯

@@lloydlineske2642 haha you can disagree, im just saying why LSV and the majority of players will pass them. They are very often tabled cards.

Is there not collation for vintage cube or just on this website? You opened literally 0 white cards pack 2
He was being passed to by someone drafting mono W

They won't, as that would require making arena actually good.

"Arena is viewer-friendlier". Hmmm no. It has been made for the show, to make "impressive" game of magic, but lot of things are not shown, or too quickly resolving.
Arena is 100% not viewer friendly. In fact it is atrociously ugly.

The collation on these packs is atrocious. We opened two packs with zero white cards. I don’t think that’s possible on MTGO or in actual packs.
Take the L so sad
thats why mtg is dead.... lands
Hol' up.. This whole time.. You've been the fake LSV!? Shame lol
