The real motivation is that middle to lower class people should not afford to have a car, either due to taxes (gas car) or due to it being very expensive to buy and replace every 10 years (electrics).
My workplace actually looked at the math for reusable vs paper cups. Disposable cups are actually extremely efficient. It takes about 1,000 uses of a ceramic mug to overtake the efficiency of a paper cup. The energy needed to create a reusable cup is extremely high and the washing machine uses energy and polution too. Then you have other factors that may come into play like the costs of the machine and its life cycle.
Agree on all points. May I add another oversight so called environmentalists seem to ignore, which is the mining and production of rare earth minerals. Every excavator, earth mover, truck, backhoe, etc. uses an exorbitant amount of fossil fuel to mine for lithium ion and various other ingredients to produce the battery itself. I urge all electric car enthusiasts to look up images of a lithium mine, which exhausts the environment and is not in any way renewable. I also find it funny that proponents of nuclear power always claim that it is the greenest form of energy production, which all used fossil fuels to construct the plant itself as well as the incredible amount of ongoing maintenance of the plant. Not to mention the inevitability of an accident whether by malfunction of malevolent intent, which can devastate the area for hundreds if not thousands of years due to the half-life of radioactive fallout. I think individual responsibility and lifestyle modification is the best way to make a positive impact or be less of a burden on the environment.
I don't disagree with everything that you said. However one thing to consider, petrol cars share all the negative attributes of electrics that you've pointed out. I remember watching the washing of coke bottles on a number of visits to a coca cola factory when I was younger. You're right: we haven't died of infections and apparently we were even able to cope with some visual imperfections on the bottles from repeated reuse and the abrasions that caused.
I've sed this for years. Running a 10 year old car for another 10 years is more environmentally friendly than scrapping and buying a new electric car... we should be encouraged to keep older cars on the road....
Depends on how much you use it. If you are generally using public transport and you use the car only occasionally and in case of emergencies, then yes, you shoud keep your old car in use as long as yu can, and then buy some other used car in good shape, for both economical and environmental reasons. However, if you are using it frequently, especially in case of business use, the cost and environmental impact of buying a new car can often be offset in only a couple of years by the lower fuel consumption associated with efficiency increase from new vehicle, as well as lower emissions and less frequet need for maintainance.
Remember. Co2 isn’t a pollutant. It’s needed by plants. Second, gasoline is renewable as its a hydrocarbon and can be created. Not unlike hydrogen peroxide. Lithium Ion batteries use a finite resource. That’s not renewable.
You're so right Ethan. I have been running the same car for 28 years now. I haven't therefore, during all those years, increased my carbon footprint by ordering a new car. However the Mayor of London, in his infinite wisdom , will force me to buy a new car as he will charge me £12.50 a day for taking mine off the driveway. Where's the sense in that? There really does need to be an holistic view taken of what constitutes a carbon footprint rather than the politically fuelled agendas we as citizens have to obey. I am all for investing more research into carbon neutral synthetic fuels, or even hydrogen, rather than electric cars. That way we could carry on using combustion engines and not need to scrap them all - with the inherent negative ecological consequences. However, the vested interests of politicians and big business will, I'm sure, bury these alternative fuel technologies.
Awesome points, well said. Being actually clean does not involve driving for the first 100 things you could improve. So I produce my own electricity and extra. I use that to cook, bathe, heat, drive. That’s mine. You can’t take that away from me. My electricity provider made a “mistake” and for the last two years the entire country paid 2-4 times more than used, convenient mistake, and after 4 months of discussions they told me to pay or else. So yes, I produce my own now. People say that in an emergency you are left stranded in an ev - A 911 does not go as far as my EV (tank vs charge), so would the world end we’re equally screwed, if running away becomes a need. But for putting miles stuck in traffic I see no better partner for a 911 than a Mini Cooper SE. Throw all the soul sucking miles on a cheap enough, fun enough car, and enjoy the 911 the rest of the time. Most of my 35.000 km a year are not fun, why depreciate the poor 911? And I do do most things from your list, but for my sake, I know there is zero difference, and the good I do in a year goes out the window when my neighbour burns tires for some winter holiday in the street. Apparently Santa had Goodyear’s. You said in a video that the 911 is as quiet as an electric and you appreciate the exhaust being quiet - a dude came to my kids kindergarten with the exhaust on - very bad taste if you ask me, made me dislike the car, for a while. So the ev makes me silent, no heads are turning, I pump my own “gas” and I am as independent as a 911 in case we run out of fuel and have to escape to some mythical land 600km away. These are for me the benefits, not saving the world with a new car every 3 lease years. My ev is close to 6 years old. I need at least another 4 to discuss maintenance costs, it was zero until now, coming from some high costs before, it is a huge plus, but we’ll see. Love the channel. Great work. I am sure we’d agree on most if not all points if we were to discuss them. The rest, put on me not being native. Cheers!
I drive a bmw sport wagon diesel in the u.s. the price of diesel here is exspensive but we are not trading it in for a electric. They need to figure the battery trip out and the grid concerns, before I will consider getting one. Great channel I'm hooked!
I own a classic Mercedes W123 300d from 77, even if there was no Diesel I could still drive it on Veg oil :).. I have a friend who has an electric BMW scooter which is about 5 years old. The Battery is already dead, the price of a new one is more than the whole vehicle.
Hi Ethan, i found your channel recently and i love the classy vibe, your etiquette and your thoughts on certain cars. Could you make a video about which supercar you found most reliable or which supercars don’t cost a fortune to maintain?
i oppose the idea that it is the "everyday normal humans" obligation to solve the polution problem, because that is just shifting responsebilities for convinience. there are enough examples out there that show that even if every normal person does everything they can, it wouldn't be nearly enough to even have somewhat of a lasting effect. no, the changes that would need to happen are far bigger and would heavily effect large and powerful organisations, which in turn is exactly why those changes won't happen. and since i am an asshole, i refuse to completely change every facette of my live as long as they refuse to do the same.
It’s funny how one of my coworkers feels superior by saying he’s not buying petrol cars ever but would gladly take rides on my friend’s diesel pickup truck when he needs to go somewhere because he doesn’t drive. It’s only good when you do it isn’t it lol
I recently discovered your channel and like your views and advice. I understand what you are saying from the sustainability angle, so let's put that aside. As a car enthusiast (you said you're a "petrolhead") and given the choices out there, are you interested purely in fossil fuel (ICE) cars or are you open to EVs too? Apparently, there are some incredible EVs out there like the Porsche Taycan, Mercedes-AMG EQS, BMW i4 M50, Lucid Air (and more to come in the near future) that provide excellent driving experiences that rival, mimic or even surpass ICE cars. Do they pique your interest? Thanks and stay safe!
There are some misunderstanding. He doesn't mean electric cars are demon. He means that while driving the electric car, it looks so "green". However, as soon as you look behind the curtain, to produce lithium battery, there are mines, there are factories spend tons of electricity. Where is these electricity comes from? Most of them comes from non green electric production like coal or natural gas. So, you are not burning the petrol at your car but you burn the petrol either in car, battery or electricity production. So, electric cars did not change how much petrol you consume, electric cars just changed where the petrol consumed. No fence for long explanation. Cheers 🍻
Nuclear energy is clean energy. In the sense that it does not release any CO2 into the air. Unfortunately, nuclear fuel is not the most used method of producing electricity, it's coal. So basically electric cars are mostly coal powered cars, with extremely polluting to produce and dispose of energy containers, and with a shorter life span. I like the fact that you think beyond just the pollution you generate while using an object, and that you think beyond that product you use: how is it being built, used and disposed of; the full cycle. The amount of people that think cars grow in trees and go to the great big car heaven in the sky after use is amazing.
Right on! I’ve always thought recycling was a waste. Let’s not mention the joke of recycling facilities. I mean there big trucks bringing in cardboard and recyclable material that may be worth a couple hundred dollars at best per load. It’s madness.
Hi Ethan, I test drove the electric mini, I was blown away by it softness silence and riding quality….I bought and am so happy I did. I feel like the Jetsons when I turn it on. It’s super fun to drive. I also bought a AM DBX I think is the best suv in the world, the finished the engine noise….it blows away every time I drive it. I have had two Range Rover which I really loved and one Discovery that I also loved, but driving the DBX it feels a hundred times nicer, it’s really espectacular. I would love you to test drive it and tell me what you think 🤔 Greetings from Santiago, Chile
Also if you get into a car crash with an electric vehicle that vehicle weighs 2 to 3 times more than your average petrol vehicle. Most crashes will be deadly then. That's one of the other dirty little secrets the electric car manufacturers don't want you to know.
Hello Ethan. Starting off, thank you for putting those out. Coherent thoughts, appropriately articulated and backed by sane, fact based argumentation. It is really refreshing to see something like this nowadays among this ocean of click-baiting, misinformative and "impartial" (although company backed) "know all-ers" Long story short, I have a question for you. What is your opinion on Lotus's Emira? Thanks. Keep rocking ;)
I have just discovered your chanel and the only thing that I can say is - spot on! And this is so logical and finally somebody spoke about it and said it! Beside being lazy (because you are right, it takes discipline and work to change lifestyle) there has to be also that part of conformism. Being comfortable is often the greatest enemy of progress. Or at least the "right progress". You're right - small things can make big changes but in the end most of us are not really free. We gave that up. For being comfortable.
I agree with all of your points. I want to add this example, in Tamil Nadu(where I am from). We had been trying to get rid of plastic covers for a long time. The first mandate came about 15 years ago and it lasted for probably 6 months(old habits die hard). This was done at a state level. But 2 years ago they brought it back and started implementing it at a municipal level, this time they targeted all the major retailers and forced them to 'sell' (not give away only recyclable bags. The smaller shows were allowed some leeway initially but in 6 months time they were forced to sell only the recyclable bags. What happened was that people started reusing their bags(no one wanted to pay extra). And a lot of issues with the drainage and water supply immediately improved. It unfortunately went to the point of government intervention for something like this is happen. But in the end, it was the smallest and easiest step to reduce pollution. Not saying it is perfect but just wanted to highlight that we aren't looking at solving the problem by making people spend 100k. I feel like a lot of Western nations are not trying to solve problem from the bottom up but rather top down. It probably has to do with the fact that the bottom up approach is cheaper and there really isn't much money to be made off it (by funneling tax money to preferred private businesses).
I love your videos. I love how you say things as they are, which most people can’t handle. Regarding coffee cups, here is Australia it’s very common to use reusable coffee cups. The coffee shops even sell them and you get $0.50 off the coffee when using them. UK should get with the times.
I agree partially with your logic. Though I stop short of thinking that our path is predetermined and that there is little logic to our attempts at reducing our carbon footprint. I agreed with a lot of other things you mentioned based on propaganda and governmental decision making. I believe many of our issues especially in energy production is political will to do something and technology just about keeping up with our needs. Once we have solved the power storage issue and made batteries out of cheaper more abundant and available materials many of these challenges will solve themselves. These technologies are also possible, they just haven't been scaled up yet. We are talking about recent breakthroughs of the last few years. I'm an optimist, you maybe able to tell.
Yeah, I believe that many of the problems with Li-ion batteries for both vehicles and grid storage can even now be solved with sodium batteries that are just entering production. It will take a few years for them to be produced in sufficient quantities though
This is a great video showing the downside of EV. One reason of purchase was the performance of those vehicles compare to the petrol cars, then the fantasy of 'clean' design which is so different from the conventional vehicles. However, the recent surge of electricity cost and electronic components would cool the demand a bit.
Great presentation. I like the way you explained that EV’s are not green. They are definitely not.I respect your opinion. I bought a Model S a year ago, I literally bankrupt myself doing that. I think I am the poorest Tesla owner out there. :) I just had and have this desire for high tech stuff. Ever since every time when I sit in the car it puts a smile on my face even on the gloomier days. I guess you know that feeling after the exotic cars you had before. I am over the top with its performance and the low maintenance cost. It’s free superchargable for life. I think solar will dominate in the future and there we plenty of clean energy. When I drove my diesel cars before I always felt ashamed when I saw baby trollies and children as most of the ice cars are stinky and it’s unhealthy the inhale the fumes. Forget about the planet forget about everything, the most important thing is our health. It’s makes me happy that my car not poisoning directly my local environment.
Depends on which country you live in. In my country the power is hydroelectric, hence 100% renewable and clean. We also have incentives from the government such as no VAT, reduced tax on toll roads and ferries for EV's. And to top it all off, the power is cheap in my part of the country. And it doesn't take a genius to understand why people are buying EV's when you take a look at the current fuel price. But i agree with you when it comes to a better lifecycle management for EV's.
Yes we all know Norway has this because of the water landscape but the rest can’t do it. But right now Norway needs to produce oil to stop our reliance on Russia and Middle East until we find a long term solution.
@@EthanFromLondon The long term solution is, and was, already here the whole time. But they will sell it to us as a new wonderous solution for a big price.
Why can't we go car-less? Why does every family need a car or two even? The government should encourage people living in every major city to use the public transport by decreasing the price. The cost of public transport in/from central London is ridiculous and discourages the public to use major mode of transport. US is worse in terms of mobility in this case. All the big countries push for a cleaner environment by ultimately putting blame on the masses. 🤷♂️
The pollution can be reduce if we change the teaching of the economy. Every public company has to show profits every quarter and this leads to producing more staff to buy and this leads to more garbage. Somethings should be life time purchase like car, furniture, other things should be at minimum 10 year purchase like clothes, washing machines, TVs etc. But this will require better products and less profits
Agree with most of what you say. I think we should strive for human flourishing for as many as possible, preferably all humans on earth. For that to happen we need cheap, abundant and reliable energy, and then we can't just immediately ditch oil, coal, gas and nuclear. We humans are incredibly successful in creating new technologies and solving problems and will solve this problem as well. Energy will be much more abundant and cheap if we don't stifle innovation and don't ditch the energy sources we have now before we have new ones. I'm planning to buy a 911 992 sometime in the coming two years and really appreciate your videos :) A great book to read about energy is Alex Epstein's The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels and his new book Fossil Future, also Michael Shellenberger's Apocalypse Never. Thanks, and keep up your critical thinking.
Population is the biggest cause of pollution but we are not allowed to say it in this PC world. We were 1.3 billion 100 years ago and now over 7 billion.
Respect Ethan. Opened my eyes on some realities of electric cars. I mainly like the idea of them because fewer moving parts should mean fewer stuff that can break down, I didn't know a small crash could total the car, though! Seems like a huge tradeoff, lol. Another thing with EVs. Charging stations would need to be everywhere, otherwise huge queues would be an eternal part of the landscape once they become mainstream. (I doubt recharging as quick as topping off gas could ever become a thing). Anyway, New subscriber here!
I agree re: the use of charging stations. I mean how long are you meant to wait there for. Charging the car overnight in your home is one thing, however, charging it at a station during the day seems like a total waste of time in comparison to refilling with gas. I can’t see how this could ever become mainstream.
@@spain7002 I don't know if it was thunderf00t or common sense skeptic that said in a video how introducing huge amounts of energy into a battery very quickly would make them explode. I doubt in the near future a breakthrough technology could overcome such a foundational hurdle.
Interesting view Ethan, yet you are missing some crucial parts. I don't think you need a scientist to realise that EVs are a good method to go towards a more carbon free world. Would be happy to chat if you're interested to find more. Nicolas, Scientist
I believe the best option is nuclear energy. From the polution or lack there of compared to the amount of energy that is produced, to the fact that it is very safe compared to even renuable energy like solar or wind. The type of reactors we use today are very different from the one in Chernobyl, they are much more safe and reliable and if we take into account the deaths that are the direct result of polution in all its forms that are a result of energy production, we will find that not only is it a safer inveronment to work in but we would need many Chernobyls to mach the ammount of harm compared to other forms of energy production. I do agree with you when you say that ``the game is rigged´´ so to speak from the governing bodys around the world for the fact that they are dishonest in they way they bring fourth studies on many of the subjects they investigate. Love your videos aswell as your different takes on matters that affect us all as a community. People paid an extra tax for buying a new diesel car in the 1990s.This Tax should be returned now the u turn on Diesel as happened. Diesel cost far less to refine compared to petrol so should be far cheaper anyway.
Very interesting thoughts.Over 30% of global energy is now used just for servers. The servers are for 90% of the time processing social media rubbish etc. This needs to change.EV batteries are useless after about 7 years. The whole thing is a mess.I still love my 20 year old s type jag.Its a brilliant combination of ride and handling and still does 35mpg on a run.!
Please watch some nuclear energy videos and I think you'll change your mind How many people are dying of nuclear energy verse fuel energy and others And how much pollution creates vs fuel energy and others And some other comparisons Thank you 😊
On one hand we have every car manufacturer on this planet (except possibly Toyota/Lexus). On the other hand we have... Ethan. Hmm... I wonder who is correct here?...
I appreciate your comments. There could be more information that may change your opinion. A recent article on Radio 4 confirmed that an electric car is better for the environment after 12 months of operation, including allowances for future battery disposal/recycling. Petrol is so harmful for the environment but oil companies are hiding the truth as they have significant investments in future oil production
Radio 4 is lying to you and gets funding from the WEF. Gas produces co2 which is needed by plants. That’s hardly harmful. And gas, being a hydrocarbon is renewable.

Before the invention of the light bulb, the world pretty much slowed down and went to bed. I’m sure a small percentage carried on with candles and oil lamps. Once we were able to work around the clock everything else as adapted to follow. The move to slow down the pace of the world will come down to availability of resources. Personal economics is the only way to lean people off the convenient and easy lifestyle we have all come to expect. Economics is controllable by the powers that be. There is plenty of fuel still readily available, however the commodities markets Is already raising the cost per barrel of oil. If the agenda is to move towards electric that’s were the majority will end up. Those that don’t, will be using public transportation or taxis, Uber or Lift. In the worst case walking. There will be the exceptions like the biofuel holdouts but public shaming will wear them down. Air pollution is always a worthy goal, climate change might be possible but highly unlikely. Preventing global warming, who knows. I’m personally skeptical of the global warming fraternity but it’s a huge agenda with powerful lobbying behind it. Volvo made a good study comparing their xc40 electric and gas cars, and the result was 90k miles for them to be carbon equal - which is basically telling that there is no difference

Is going to be like cell phones. You have to change it to upgrate your phone. Nope not me. What is next Robots? like R2D2 starwars?? Anyway there is nothing like a engine sound.
Yes, but you are also replacing lots of small exhaust pipes for few big ones, which makes it easier for emissions control, and enables them to be located outside densely populated areas where they can directly harm less people
This electric cars are hooked to the internet all the time. its like you are sitting in a Giant Iphone with wheels. it listens and it stores everything. short range, faulty doors all the time and other bugs. And like IPhone, you are looking all the time for charging it. Yes its a Tesla
Electric cars is a good project, with good intentions, but not implemented correctly, or at least not completed yet. Nevertheless, the future is hydrogen cars. Electric cars are just an intermediate stage.
Electric cars are a smart choice in cities, to reduce fine powders. In the countryside not yet, until we won't be able to power them with green energy.
Electric is definitely not the future, we don't even have enough electricity to power our homes during a cold winter let alone charge all those electric cars at night when people return from work.
If you are living in Europe, then the reason for not having enough electricity is difficulties in supplying oil and natural gas used in its production, which will hardly be solved any time soon, and are required for both electricity production and running ICEs. However, you can at least alleviate the electricity problems on a 5-10 years by investing in alternative sources with current technologies, but alternatives for oil for ICEs are all basically dumb ideas at this point. If you are living in US, then the problem is your aging elecicity networks that will need to be worked on, electric vehicles or not.
Reverse the Beeching report closures. Make public transport free for everyone. Construct proper cycle ways alongside every canal in the country. What we need is a revolution not to simply replace the ICE with a different energy source. EV’s are not the solution. I’d never buy one even if I had the money. The government is just waiting its chance to shaft you as soon as they think they can get away with it. You know it’s true.

And if you only knew about carbon footprint....
Try a Tesla model S plad for a week and see if it changes your mind 😜
100% agree with your view. I spend a lot of time pondering this topic and the simple things that can be adopted. It all starts with one person.
Cheers 🍻
I think globally we need to utilize more solar and wind power for electricity for cars or homes or businesses.
This world will not last forever. Everything will come to an end. Enjoy and make the most of it while you can. Cheers brother!
Coal is dying. Renewables are now the cheapest and fastest growing in the energy sector.
Right on! I’ve always thought recycling was a waste. Let’s not mention the joke of recycling facilities. I mean there big trucks bringing in cardboard and recyclable material that may be worth a couple hundred dollars at best per load. It’s madness.
That’s something I concern about. Until now I rarely eat food order online. I just try my best to avoid it
Moreover, there are significant losses associated with transmission of electricity.
Hi Ethan,
I test drove the electric mini, I was blown away by it softness silence and riding quality….I bought and am so happy I did.
I would love you to test drive it and tell me what you think 🤔
Greetings from Santiago, Chile
And all of us can afford a $200K Aston to appease the mob???
Well said Ethan. We share a lot in common.
I love this video so much. I watch it again & again Ethan. This is a great video.
It is really refreshing to see something like this nowadays among this ocean of click-baiting, misinformative and "impartial" (although company backed) "know all-ers"
Long story short, I have a question for you. What is your opinion on Lotus's Emira?
Thanks. Keep rocking ;)
I’m going to reserve my spot in line in a few days.
EV are not environment friendly at least not their production phase, you just have to check how batteries are made...
You are my new favorite You Tuber. Another great video Ethan, thank you.
Question: have you driven the Honda NSX?
I’m a petrol head too, but if the petrol comes from Russia then I’m very interested in electric cars…
Hi Ethan. Nice to meet you. Glad I found your channel.
This is a great video showing the downside of EV. One reason of purchase was the performance of those vehicles compare to the petrol cars, then the fantasy of 'clean' design which is so different from the conventional vehicles. However, the recent surge of electricity cost and electronic components would cool the demand a bit.
Got here from the Ferrari review and after watching few videos of yours, I must say you are a very smart man, sir.
Agree , here in America the same incompleteness with the whole picture
Why can't we go car-less? Why does every family need a car or two even? The government should encourage people living in every major city to use the public transport by decreasing the price. The cost of public transport in/from central London is ridiculous and discourages the public to use major mode of transport. US is worse in terms of mobility in this case. All the big countries push for a cleaner environment by ultimately putting blame on the masses. 🤷♂️
Mass transport blows that’s why. If i need to get across town, a car will take 15 minutes. The bus, 2 hours.
Cars save time and money.
I watched few of your vids. Makes sense what you say, you have my sub. Appreciate your input.
Petrol and diesel cars can be recycled while electric cars once a write off no recycling. The batteries ends up in landfills in Africa.
Thank you for sharing this with us sir !
f.
I wish you would make more content and Ethan I really enjoy your channel take care Sir
Love your videos!
Prius running on CNG is the most ecological thing possible
long time no see and hear another great video keep them up mate
100 % !!!!!!! 🥂
Thanks 🙏 for your consideration and response!!!
Listening to you i have a feeling I'm talking to myself.
Very insightful. Eye opening even.
Thank you! Really enjoying listening to someone who views everything in a holistic manner.
I miss my old banger very much, a Renault 9. Unbelievable fun just pootering about. Those days are gone sadly .
Therefore it's nearly impossible to have "instant charging". At least according to their models of physics.
Carbon dioxide can be neutralised by trees. Nuclear waste can’t ! Perhaps make a video with your counter argument
Would love to see you do longer videos in a sort of podcast format although i dought you would have the time for it. Might i sugest a once a week longer video debating such matters perhaps.
Best wishes from Portugal.
People paid an extra tax for buying a new diesel car in the 1990s.This Tax should be returned now the u turn on Diesel as happened. Diesel cost far less to refine compared to petrol so should be far cheaper anyway.
When you left the medical profession did you also experience a major shift in thought process or state of mind for lack of a better phrase?
Very interesting thoughts.Over 30% of global energy is now used just for servers. The servers are for 90% of the time processing social media rubbish etc. This needs to change.EV batteries are useless after about 7 years. The whole thing is a mess.I still love my 20 year old s type jag.Its a brilliant combination of ride and handling and still does 35mpg on a run.!
I agree, 100 percent. Thank you.
Please watch some nuclear energy videos and I think you'll change your mind
How many people are dying of nuclear energy verse fuel energy and others
And how much pollution creates vs fuel energy and others
And some other comparisons
Thank you 😊
Agree 100%
Love the quote, “the public are stupid”.
😂
Exactly Ethan, not to mention the production of one EV creates as much climate damage as a combustible engine vehicle does in 5 years. Civilization is a heat engine, no matter what we do.
Not true. Just one more myth peddled by the misinformed.
@@manfredpolster1732 Look you spouting a climate text book is of no relevance to the nonsense you first posted. which is what I responded to. A recent report by the EU showed an ICE car will consume 300 to 400 times the resources of an EV over it's lifetime.
@@manfredpolster1732 Please read my post. It is not relevant to your original post, which is what I was responding to. The EU report I mentioned took into account all aspects of production. including mining of materials, and the results speak for themselves.

Off topic but, what sort of hi-fi do you own??
There is a video about that
Another great video, which I will be sure to share with many friends!
There is plenty of fuel still readily available, however the commodities markets
Is already raising the cost per barrel of oil.
You mentioned almost everything and a few new observations so I won’t be repeating any of them.
I knew I would enjoy watching more of your videos, please keep it up.

100% agree with you.
I don't like the design on most electric cars. Why do they have to look like concept cars or cars in sci-fi movies?
The market wants their car to look like a dystopian world run by computers
"If you have three showers a day, have one!....So, that is my view on electric cars" LOL
Ahh yes we've been here before. Lots of valid points somewhat marred by 'crazy guy in the pub' conspiracy theory politics.
Promise me you'll never change? 🤣🤣

Yes you are right and even the gas so expensive now still cheaper then EV because you have to pay up front of same category vehicle and down on the road the EV no resale value then gasoline car

Volvo made a good study comparing their xc40 electric and gas cars, and the result was 90k miles for them to be carbon equal - which is basically telling that there is no difference
Hello Ethan. We are not ready for electric cars. This world is going to fast. People don't have time to sit and wait for a charge. The tecnology is not there yet. Anyway, I'm a petrol head. I agree with you on this topic 100% You are right by saying that humans must rather adapt to nature instead the other way around!
Well said!
I find you very refreshing, ❤
I have electric cars, they are RC cars. lol
Given the way electricity is generally produced, electric cars simply relocate the exhaust pipe to a location where it can be less easily observed.
Yes but increasingly renewables are that source, which are now the cheapest and fastest growing in the energy sector.
Well said
Try replacing a battery on one. It's worth more than the car.
Yes but prices are falling rapidly. In the next few years and EV will be no more expensive than an ICE car, and will only continue to get cheaper.
Electric is definitely not the future, we don't even have enough electricity to power our homes during a cold winter let alone charge all those electric cars at night when people return from work.
EV's are inevitable, and the change is coming a lot sooner than people think.
@@daydreamer8373 it’s unrealistic technically speaking. It’s a fad
@@zwimipo1828 It is very realistic and is happening as we speak. In a few years EV's will be a no brainer.
@@daydreamer8373 You don't have a brain, you are shilling EVs on a bunch of comments for this video like it's a full-time job.
Very well put.
