The fact that Olivia always mentions that the vellumental was being folded really makes you wonder how they looked like before. I mean, good for us that they are, we probably wouldnt have to battle them if they werent, which means we would have never got to hear this music. Yeah I know, horrible thought.

Ah... My favorite battle theme in the game. I had the biggest grin on my face when I first heard it and this is the theme that really convinced me that this game was going to have an outstanding soundtrack. Just listen to the violin go at 0:38... Perfection.
i had almost no problem with the feathers. they were somewhat annoying but [SPOILERS FOR FIRE VELLUMENTAL FIGHT] when Fire releases their feathers, it damages them. i wait until there's too many feathers on the board to wait much longer then do a Water attack. it worked great and got him first try.
You gotta love how Paper Mario's head is bopping to the tune of the godlike Vellumentals' theme right before he charges off through the rings to lay down the smackdown with Olivia by his side. God, this theme is SO damn good! It makes fighting these things SO much more worth my time.

Until Mario discovered her in that damn wall. Her origami skills are great, but she has a lot to learn before she's ready to save anyone. But I believe Olivia can save the world.... Origami, The Last Wholesome-bender (I spent 15 whole minutes making this parody up on the spot lmao, but i couldnt resist given how much of an opening the game gives me with four elements and a dictator and an innocent child mastering elements)

Fire: If the field is too cluttered, try to put at least one heart in your next path. Ice: Use your finger (or the camera if you need to) to memorize the path you have to take.
Man the goosebumps I got when this song first hit in game. That's a good song when it does that! Especially those hard-hitting doomsday notes that are amplified in the passive/thinking mode of the song. You could feel the weight and urgency of your decisions. Great composition!
Was not expecting this masterpiece at all. This amplifies the atmosphere surrounding the battle and adds a sense of history and god-uhh-things making is truly incredible. It starts good but then that violin just makes this even better. Another great piece!
I thought I was the only one. For some reason I was never clear what to do against the water one. I also caused the fire one to respawn TWICE, and almost lost hope against the Ice vellumental...I'm getting old, I think I was better at games in my teens. Not giving up though, gonna beat this game no matter what.

For the first boss theme you hear in the game, this goes incredibly hard; easily my favorite theme from the game. Hole Punch is a close second and Stapler's third.

The Vellumental temples were some of the best parts of the game for me. They really nailed the zelda dungeon vibe and gameplay on the head with this game.

That's why Paper Mario is The strongest Mario out of all the other Marios. He has a star rod able to give him Invincibility power and can grant Mario any wish, he fought gods in other games like TTYD Super Paper Mario and did beat other forms Of Bowser with no problems whatsoever. So yeah Paper Mario is pretty powerful.

The vellumentals are actually kinda wrong, expect for the fire vellumental, suzaku is the vermilion bird of the south, and represents fire, but the other ones they get it wrong, the earth vellumental, genbu is the black turtle of the north, is actually supposed the water vellumental, the water vellumental, is seiryu the azure dragon of the east, who is supposed to the wind vellumental, and the ice vellumental is the one who got the most worng, byakko who they are supposed to be is the white tiger of the west, and is supposed to be the earth vellumental, so if I were to switch vellumentals around, I would have you meet the earth tiger vellumental in the east, then the fire Phoenix vellumental in the south, then the air dragon vellumental in the west, and finally the water turtle vellumental in the north, so you go earth to fire to air to water.

Something I've noticed so far, these Vellumentals seem to based on creatures from Chinese folklore. A turtle, dragon, phoenix, and a bear.

The vellumentals are actually kinda wrong, expect for the fire vellumental, suzaku is the vermilion bird of the south, and represents fire, but the other ones they get it wrong, the earth vellumental, genbu is the black turtle of the north, is actually supposed the water vellumental, the water vellumental, is seiryu the azure dragon of the east, who is supposed to the wind vellumental, and the ice vellumental is the one who got the most worng, byakko who they are supposed to be is the white tiger of the west, and is supposed to be the earth vellumental, so if I were to switch vellumentals around, I would have you meet the earth tiger vellumental in the east, then the fire Phoenix vellumental in the south, then the air dragon vellumental in the west, and finally the water turtle vellumental in the north, so you go earth to fire to air to water.
Pro tip for ice vellumental: Just move the 1000 arms tile to the front of Mario
