training tip: We put a bell on the door handle and we taught them when they need to go to the bathroom for them to ring the bell and then we take them outside

Oakley is absolutely adorable & well Olivia is literally a real life angel
j would recommend not putting him in his crate as a “punishment” so to say. they tend to start associating their crate with punishment. my puppy sleeps in his crate and now he loves going in there because he thinks it’s his little house 😂 once their older you can do like 10 min timeouts but to start just show him that it goes outside & make him understand his crate is his space ♥️♥️
We use my dogs create as punishment. But he does still go in there and sleeps and just hangs out. He loves his create when hes not in trouble.
@@abbyjean6995 We have started to do that but wanted to get him used to that being his safe space. but he got used to his crate super quick!
Our dogs use their crates as punishment and constantly go in there on their own to nap , chew a chew bone etc etc etc they love their cages. I used to hear his too but saw my mom and a couple of friends use their cages for many things and their dogs also loved theirs so we started it and our dogs fav place to sleep is in their cages.
not to be rude but i think we should just let her deal with her own dog and what works for them.

I really like it when you play with your puppy and he's very sweet.
When we were potty training we put bells on the door anytime we went outside I would hit them and say potty. They use the bells still to this day. I also take them out every 15-20 min when first potty training.
Or you can get a fresh patch
(freshpatch.com) it’s a piece of grass you can get delivered every week or two. You can keep it on your patio. Until he starts holding it longer them take him outside.

my tip is to mot punish him, just tell him when his done a good thing. and i would also say that you shouldn’t close his cage, neither on the night or as punishment! :))) love your vloggsss

Best tip potty pads or yoy can but him on a leash when you walk him around take him near grass and see what happens!!
I just got an 8 week old puppy! So far potty training her has been really hard. I've tried to stay super consistent and be really patient when it comes to accidents in the house. I signed up for Doggy Dan - The Online Doggy Trainer and it's been incredibly helpful in terms of training her. I started noticing improvement in just the first day! Highly recommend. Hang in there :) I love your videos!!!

What I did with my puppy is I taught her to ring bells to let me know she needs to go out. You basically hang a string of bells in your door to go outside and every time you take him out just show him how he is supposed to ring them. If you keep up with it he will catch on to it! Also your puppy is the cutes thing! 🥰

Your so lucky he stays in that kennel and sleeps and doesn’t make a fuss. All 3 of my puppies had terrible separation anxiety and cried all through the night until they were like 6 months old 😅

You are FINE to put him in his crate as a form of punishment... we do it with our dogs if they do anything bad and all we have to say is 'cage' and they go off to their little 'timeout' sesh, they also go to their cages all the time on their own, my parents do the same thing and so do my friends , the vet is who told me to do this. My dogs literally love their cages.

A big thing with potty training and especially in general their whole life you should take him out to go potty right after he eats to try and get his poop out and eventually it will become a routine for him to go

Also ramps when you get a couch. Doxies are fearless and don’t realize they have long backs.
