German Spitz

The German Spitz. This fluffy little guy is a great looker, he’s also a great house dog. With such a decent amount of energy he can be quite the playful one, he’s always ready for an adventure; but if you’re not in the mood this loving little man will happily relax with you too.
This dog is quick, his attentiveness making him an astute learner. Great with kids and adults alike, even friendly to strangers.
His liveliness needs surprisingly little in the way of exercise, a good walk or a bit of rough and tumble will be more than enough to keep him in trim. That gorgeous double coat does need attention though, with a good brushing required twice a week at the very least.
He’s a fantastic jumper, and loves to spend time on his hind legs. Without social activity he might get a little reserved, and even a bit snappy.
Interesting facts: As a keen watchdog he used to protect the barges on the Rhine River, but when the barges got bigger he fell out of favour.
