Did you disconnect the field windings? In your previous video, you had connected the armature and field in parallel.

yeah, usually he would hold the two wires together for a better connection, but he didn't which proves that he's using power from the AC line

Next time show the motor starting from standstill, NOT with you spinning it whilst connecting the supply! Also how the heck are you so sure it is running at 10K RPM? NO ONE can guess that speed by ear and eye, could be anywhere from 6k upwards. Nice idea if it actually works in an everyday application???
