My personal theory about Martin going in the rift was actually that I thought he was an interdimensional traveler, and that's how he got to hermitcraft for the charity stream and how he left, too.

Same, and I also think that this theory has been proved to be true on xbcrafted latest video. He entered the portal a few times traveling through space and time
Here's an idea: both Grumbot and Bubbles are interdimensional beings. what if these two are at war with each other and one is trying to contain the other. that's why you have worlds with only Bubbles or only Grumbot. we know there's multiple Bubbles but there's only two Grumbots (that we know of of) we've not seen them interact yet and therefore don't know what will happen if they come into contact with each other
Bubbles is Keralis' nickname for Bdubs so I was very confused by your theory for a sec there

I hope the "Grumbot is the villain" thing goes somewhere. It might not have any implications for Empires but it's a plot thread I'm really intrigued by.
Personally I did not find that the “Grumbot is trying to take control of the multiverse” theory really had much merit itself until I saw the story mode connections. But, it was also brought up how once Mumbo became mayor there would be no additional goal for Grumbot and Grumbot certainly has a mind of his own. Why come to season 9 unless he has come up with a new goal?
On a self-aware note I love thinking of silly little block game plots hahah

The message that was sent through to Hermitcraft said "Jimmy is in fact a toy".
So the reason why this happened is Joel used his godly powers to send the hermits to the empires to help Jimmy understand that he is in fact a toy.
This theory is backed up by the fact that none of the hermits questioned the Toy story decorations and buildings in his base and even started the intervention almost immediately with the "Andy is here".
Why was he Jimmy still able to move you might ask. Two things.
1. Andy wasnt there so there was no reason for a toy to stop moving.
2. The toys can still move with humans around, they just dont so even if Andy was there Jimmy would refuse to move anyway.
Another thing that support my theory is the new inhabitant in Tumble town, Scar. He have the task to live with Jimmy and slowly get him to accept his true identity by dropping small hints over and over.
I sometimes miss when we where just 2,500 emperos, But at the same time so glad that prismarine got what she deserved, hope she remembers me as one veteran emperor. If ur seeing this prismarine I luv u, u deserve this and more. Thanks to jimmy and many other members of the empires server to help her grow bigger.
I wasn't that far back but I was around the time before 10k and yeah it's pretty nostalgic.
She excluded Bdubs in that 13x13 theory.😂 Interesting idea, but I did think it was just a simple collab to bring two worlds together. Grian is just extra in trying to isolate the hermits from the empire members - I'm more interested in how the hermits make homes in different empires. It would be so cool to see that integration.

11:39 alternate theory: Grumbot is trying to get to empires to find Mumbo. His sole purpose is to make Mumbo Mayor, so if he can’t find Mumbo in any of the worlds that he had access to, he’s trying to get to the empires one to see if Mumbo is there.
The war theory is also viable because of something that Grian said at the end of one of his videos: “…invasion- er, I mean crossover…”. What do you think?
great to see jimmy watching people's theories yet again! also as I have commented on another video; crazy rift theory: the reason the rift never became the texture of the ender portal was because grumbot was not there to add the begun sign since it was never the true portal it couldn't use as much energy as required to stay lit! however, it is still able to regrow which must be caused by the rift on the hermit craft side, giving the empires rift energy since they're both connected to the rift, it's attempting to balance itself what happens to one side must e the same on the other but they are leading through different realms making it harder! if things go through the less powerful side they're altered, we could see Lizzie's fox Garry as a regular one, the hoglin seemed to have come through as either a zombie pigman or a pig same with the note it got scrambled! since sausage removed some pieces the other rift put energy into that instead of making it light
I like the idea that going through the Rift, all the Hermits were okay.
But coming back through… oh boy.
I think grumbot is going to have taken over the hermitcraft server upon the hermits return. The non-rift-traveling hermits have stopped recording on the server (xbcrafted did briefly then started rift hoping himself). Potentially having the rift-hermits finding the home-hermits at war or prisoners to grumbot. Grumbot's real goal was to send that majority of hermits away to give it chance to take over.
Re: Scar's hat. It's not a loaf of bread. It's a hard hat that mimics those worn by Disney's 'Imagineers' (since Scar is building a theme park as his base on Hermitcraft).
It isn't really 13 vs 13, as two of the empires are also hermits, so the real count is closer to 15 vs 11.
Yes finally, I miss the Prismarina reactions from Jimmy, I found out these reactions are from upcoming livestreams, so I wonder if the livestream today is going to have this but watching the same thing twice in one day even if he knows we seen it might not make sense so maybe in the future I’ll know or it’s one of those that isn’t from a stream.

It would be interesting to see him make the empires grumbot based more on magical things. Then have it have issues properly communicating with hermitcraft's grumbot due to not understanding technology.
Fun facts: Timmy is a toy, Grian is confused, and Scar likes bread on his head don’t judge, don’t question Cleo because she has a knife, anger Bdubs cus it’s funny, Joel claims to be a giant, but is the same height as most others, Jevin scares me.

What If Grian is already mind controlled by Grumbot, and is sending him information with every new episode… anndddd Grumbot is teaming up with the other watchers from the Evo series, who both A: want to cause trouble, and B: want Grian back, so Grumbot gets a win win. That’s also why Grian created the new tag game, to satisfy the watchers lust for destruction. How bout them apples 😏.
Grian has stated in one of his earlier episodes that the lore from the Evo series is confined to the Evo series. So, no watchers.

@@BrokenPencilArts we don't know if Martin's lore about the watchers for the life series is cannon or not for the entire server or its only for Martin. But it would be cool if it's cannon for the entirety of the server.

You know... It would be hilarious if all the different SMP servers started making Grumbots to finish out their seasons.
So if Grumbot’s the villain, that makes Timmy the villain, and his motives is the toy jokes, and he ends up like raging and ends up scaring everyone, and maybe Timmy also targets people that have taken the joke, ‘too far’ he might head for Joel, then Grian and maybe he’d even get really angry by something Grian/Joel said in a feebile attempt to calm Timmy down, that he decides to wage war on everybody, and he starts by destroying the rift, and trapping this version of the hermits, and Grian therefore has to work doubly hard to get the Grumbot attached to Hermitopia, working and kind of like Shu in Beyblade, he tries to inflict his Will on the blade (Or Grumbot) and then it ended with the thing having to be destroyed for Shu to come back to his sense, and I think that might be something we might see, or maybe Timmy is just gonna flip the Monopoly table over and walk away, idk but it’ll be fun watching him be evil if that’s was the cards have decided for everyone’s favorite not a toy toy.

Grian did build a machine in the empires server already that someone asked if it was from Grumbot and he said something about it being "Grumbot style". Sure it's only purpose for now is *just* to make Hermits shorter, but Grumbot's original purpose was *just* to make Mumbo mayor.
