I F***ING LOVE THIS VIDEO SO MUCH I CANNOT EVEN PUT INTO WORDS. So much I want to try..."sculptors mesh"...that simple paint scheme...the floral mesh.....Y E S.
Wyloch's Armory Thanks for the kind words Wyloch! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I will keep making videos and hopefully you keep enjoying em. I look forward to seeing what you create with these techniques!
Wyloch got me into this Hobby and Eric is inspiring me to do even more! So cool
Never expected to see so many asterisks from Wyloch! :) But he's 100% correct! Your builds, Eric, are simply amazing and certainly inspirational.
Fun fact: In 40k hazard stripes ARE a design element. The people of the 41st millenium have actually forgotten the reason/purpose behind hazard stripes but they're so prevalent that industrial groups have taken them on as a sort of heraldry. This is why they seem to be basically everywhere such as on knight shoulderpads and the reason they're used by the Iron Warriors.
thats some cool worldbuilding
That caution striping placement is so sensible and such a nice detail, it really shows what kind of builder you are. I adore it.
torymiddlebrooks thank you!
You only have a few videos right now, but if you keep up the good work I am sure you have the potential to be one of the top.
You use cheap, easy obtainable materials.
You show exactly what you do even if nothing requires great experience.
So everybody following your videos can build an individual, full, interesting, awesome looking, fun to play on, table with a very limited budget and resources.
PERFECT!!!!
Daniel Krause wow, very kind comment. Thanks Daniel! Comments like this give me a lot of motivation to keep producing content!!!
I think a good way to spice up smaller skirmish games is to have more pieces of scatter that makes an environment feel more lived in. IE trash cans, benches, lockers, destroyed vehicles, chairs, ect. I think a whole video could be done on that alone.
tt Scatter terrain is especially important for blocking line of sight too! Great suggestion.
This is THE channel I had been waiting for. Solving so many questions in 10 minutes, I've been searching for catwalk materials that looked decent for hours lol. Thanks a lot.
I FIND IT INCREDIBLY THERAPEUTIC TO LISTEN AND WATCH AS YOU TAKE THESE ITEMS AND CONSTRUCT THEM INTO WORKS OF WONDER THAT I FEEL CAN RIVAL SOME OF THE BUILDS FROM THE G.W. MODELS. ALSO KUDOS FOR ACKNOWLEDGING THE OTHER CRAFTERS THAT INSPIRE YOU. WELL DONE.
Ok i'm convinced; you are one of the best terrain builders out there. Amazing!
Your miniatures are amazing and your voice is very relaxing, I started falling asleep watching the video lol
This is INSANE! Congratulations, man!!!
Nelson Baietti thanks nelson!
I found a fireman's ladder truck at the dollar store and used the sides of its ladder for truss's. As usual great video.
Coabeous oooh those catch my eye all the time but often on trucks that like $30. Lucky if you found some cheap ones!!
Great looking bridges and catwalks!
Chris McEwan Thanks Chris!!
Oh cool I didn't realize I had only seen half of this. Love the warning strip and the set-up shots at the end
Good job on the whole thing, both the project and the tutorial on how to do it. Really like the way you did the hazard stripes, so simple and fast. Looking forward to watching the rest of your feed.
Loving these tutorials, cool ideas using interesting materials
mattkent thanks Matt!
Cracking work, mate. Really inspiring.
Simple, cheap & looks great. Love it !

Marc Acosta i will! Thanks for tour kind words
Incredible imagination, love it.
How about a challenge series where we suggest a random item and you find as many ways to use it in a scene.....FELT TIP COLOURING PEN GO!
You're such a good artist. Thanks for making all these inspiring videos. So cool.
Thanks Grant! That means a lot.
Awesome tutorial, great stuff.
Chris Iddon Thanks Chris!
I LOVE your videos! So great to see so much industrial sci fi/post apoc terrain! I hope you do a toxic sewage leak piece next!

That's an awesome tutorial!
Nero Palmire thanks nero!!
I really like your videos!! Keep up the great work!
Clifton Thanks Clifton! Will do
Nice job! 👍🏻
Paulo Freire Thanks Paulo!
For added detail, you could put a clearance length on the bottom of high arches like those pipes, to indicate to passing vehicles the maximum size that can pass underneath.
But then I would have to set it up at the same height every time or it would be wrong! :D
Excellent
GoultyUK1 Thanks Goulty!!
Top notch, mate
Very good work, there.
thats really awesome you do great work
Thank you! Cheers!
I love this!!!!!!
Nice job.
I Love Your Videos. Fan on Germany
Beautiful video
West Side WEST SIIIIIIIDE thank you i love your videos too
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop wow. That means a lot to me! Merry xmas friend!
Hey man, great video! Could you tell us what toy those walkway peices came from? the pink, blue etc coloured ones with the slots cut out of them?
Thanks a lot!
Doğanay Kurtul thank you!
Fantastic work sir. Treasure from trash so to speak. Keep em coming
Ha I like the thrift store LCD Soundsystem version of Dance yrslf clean too.
Will Dunn hahaha i didn’t notice thats what the song was!
love your work I like to use nail art pieces for rivets and hex bolts super cheap on ebay
Robert Webb i have been looking for some good hex rivets! Do you have a link?
On the truss bridge add a beam or two across from one truss to the other to give it more strength.
Reaver70 Thanks for the feedback. I played around with some cross braces, but they ultimately made it tricky to manoever miniatures and so i opted not to. I also store the bridges inside each other like Russian nesting dolls, so the open top allows that.
Found it!
🙂👍🏻👍🏻
wow
Eric do you know about pvc pipe bending kits? They are silicone slugs that fit inside the pipe. Then you heat the pvc with a heat gun and then bend the pipe. Im sure these slugs can easily be made. The point is the pipe bends without kinking.
You did it again. You amazed me. Have you thought about Thundercat's terrain or even Thundarr's?
This is an awesome video. The stencil for hazard strips is wonderful.
How well does the hot glue adhere to the various types of materials...the wire mesh, the plastic card, etc?
Are you using a high temp glue gun so you have more time to adjust materials before they dry?
Great video!
It had previously taken me while to find vinyl coated floral mesh, but using it for railing has been brilliant.
Thank you for the great video(s) and the wonderful tips.
Though to be honest, did you ever make an official part 2?
Plz make munda towers!
Do you happen to have a link available for the floral mesh you got?
Also, I snagged some sculpting mesh, but I like the amount you found. Do you have a link for that as well?
Tombs and Tendrils i will post one shortly, sorry for delay
Scratch built custom Fortress of Redemption? :p
That was a very cool video. Well done can tell me what was the toy you used to make platforms.
rogue1874 its a building toy set called “roominate”
Thanks. I am looking forward to part 2.
If Corey from Slipknot had a hobby shop!
jercaldin318 Hahaha I haven’t heard that one before. I used to listen to Slipknot in middle school, maybe that affected my looks as I grew up
what do you use as a base (passage) of the bridge?
Pulsarlight I’m not sure I understand what you are asking? Which bridge? I showed the methods for each in the video. If you could clarify I’ll do my best to answer your question
How do you make your stairs???
Which scale railroad bridge did you use? I wanna batch out a few of those they have to be the best looking diy bridge/walkway I've seen n simple
nathan mccook i had to check 5:04 of the video to be sure...HO scale! (says on the bottom left of the box)
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop oh duh didn't even think to.do.that haha thanks
What are the pink plastic pieces at 0:29 called?
I bet you could do a whole video just on uses for pill bottles.
Edward Cote i used one in my newest video...and will use more coming up!!
Do you or anybody reading have a link for the floral mesh used as a railing on the first two walkways? I am having trouble find it at the right scale?
Paul Ellwood its also called hardware cloth and is available on amazon. I got mine at Home Depot
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop You could also take some plastic hair curlers from the dollar tree and cut off your railings. You can straighten the curve by dipping them in boiling water to soften the plastic and then sandwiching them between two books.
I came here from Wylock talking about you and your talking about him
Mind blowing eh? hahaha Wylock is a legend
Fantastic video - subscribed. Would it be possible to get a link to the floral mesh product? Trying to source similar on amazon and the dimensions seem to either be far too small or far too large. Will pop in to my local gardening shop but any steer would be useful. Keep up the great work!
This is a similar mesh, I can't seem to find the same one I bought with the green vinyl coating. I'll add it to the description. If you use this link it supports the channel!

@@EricsHobbyWorkshop Gentleman, thanks Eric - consider it done!
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop Gentleman, thanks Eric - will do. Best terrain channel out here by a country mile.
so you're saying i need to loot a local dollar store, got it 👍
What about those plastic rectangles ("kid toys" you said) you used as the base of catwalks? What are them from? Awesome stuff!!!
“Roominate” is their name
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop Thanks Eric!
Rough it up with that sand paper
Mary McKee very important step :)
6 people didnt see the hazard warning stripes and hit their heads
What is the toy that you use?
I have found PVC pipe can be rather expensive if you get enough to do something like this. It's cool but have you found a way to get the pipe cheaply somewhere?
I bought the pieces at Home Depot I believe. I don't recall the exact prices but I don't remember thinking it was expensive either. Individual pieces are definitely cheaper at bigger stores.. My local small mom n pop hardware store sells PVC for much more.
@@EricsHobbyWorkshop Well it looks great.
Paint the nail beads then put them on
Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was a watching a video made by Albert Einstein my mistake I'm sorry.
For real though, when you made the hazard stripe stencil out of tape I fell to the floor. Please teach me how to think.
Thanks.
S U B S C R I B E D for sure!
Awesome content!
So where are the bead “rivets” to be found?
Go to any discount store and ask for rhinestone beads or just look at the crafting section. Should cost a buck or so
Team, any idea what size you think these Rhinestones are
2-3mm
6:25 diamond plate whatt? Pardon me
This never got part2?
God dammit. What are these pink toy parts from...
